Hello other Moms-2-Be, My name is Niky am I 27 and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I have a 10 yr old daughter and I had an abortion 8 years ago. Now I am pregnant with a new bundle of joy, I guess I can say. There have happy & sad times with this pregnancy. I so excited for this baby to be here because it came a very upsetting time in my life. My Godson Derpy & his mother had just been shot to death and right after there funeral I found out I was pregnant, so I new it was a gift from the man above and I had to keep it along with fact that I love the man I with so much to want to spend the rest of my life with, that I had to keep this baby. Last but not least my Godson DOB is 1-27 and my unborn child EDD is 7-12. How special is that.
January 24, I with to first doctor's appt. with my new OBGYN and found out he don't conduct ultrasound in his office and that I would have to go some else to have them done, where as to my last doctor office they did them in the office, but I gladnto have this new doctor because I feel more comfortable with him. I will not get next U/S until the 19th of Feb in which I hope I find out I'm having a boy I just feel like am. But then agaian I don't know what I feeling because all this seems new to me. All I remember about my pregnancy with my daughter is that I had very bad All day sickness and Labor was pretty easy other than that the epidural only working on one side because i laying on my side to get some sleep at least that what the doctor told me. February 14, Today I went to the doctors and everything went fine. The baby has a strong heartbeat still and the result were back from the blood test to find out if the baby had any chances of having down syndrome and it was negative so that was a blessing, but the doctor did say that I gained 5lbs. in 3 weeks and I was shock because I don't eat alot. I was expecting him to say my BP was high because my last doctor consider me to be high risk but it has stayed normal which was how it was with dauhter 10 yrs. ago but it raised when she was 2 weeks past due. So with saying that the doctor said my sugar may be up and he is going to test me for that on my next visit which is on 3 weeks away and I can only gain 1-2 lbs. or he is going to be fussing with me. I just want to know what do he think I'm going to be doing while he is fussing me? Till next time..........

i would like to have mine's naturally, but doc says i have to have c-section since that's how i had my other two.

My other two pregnancies were fairly easy. With the exception that my oldest child was born 6 weeks early...everything was ok. But, this pregnancy is different. This time around i had morning sickness and bad migraines in my 1st trimester, and now i have i'm going thru severe back pain, baby's foot is in my ribcage, and i keep having these stupid false labor contractions(braxton hicks). I don't know if it's because it's been awhile or because i'm so much older. But it does feel like this is my first time being pregnant because of the 15 year gap. Anywho we're almost done! Are u having ur baby naturally or by c-section?

My obgyn recommended me Sudafed (non PE though) to take for that...and you can also use Ocean spray. Hope you'll feel better

hey. about the nasal congestion, we are aloud to use nasal spray and also Sudafed. My cousin is a pharmacist and she told me. The nasal spray works within minutes. I have a bad cold and have been using it. Hope this helps!

hey girl how is everything going with you? how is the baby? yeah my blood pressure last doctors appt was 135/80 so my doctor getting worried cause he was like when u 1st started coming here it was 90/60 but I don't know why I keep gaining so much weight. you probably saw them but I got my 3d/4d ultrasound 2 weeks ago it was $100 dollars I was press cause they was having a special. My mother and bf came with me they was so excited.

Aww she misses ur godson I hate when the kids have to suffer for grown ups stupidity...I don't know if you heard that story last year when the 12yr old girl was killed on the ice cream truck but she was my lil cousin and her sis and brother are 7 and 10 they took it sooo hard cause she had just left there house when it happened but their gettin through it they hate talkin about her sometimes...but girl I went to the doctors 2day and i'm 190lbs I still can't believe it I'ma be 300lbs b4 my pregnancy is over ...lol..but I'm 5'8 1/2 so you can't tell too much..I eat waaaay too much.

Aww is ur daughter happy about the new baby? yes i hate them pics Alexandria hospital gave me so I went to this place in Falls Church/Tyson Corner and it cost me $99 and they are giving me $50 off if I come back and let them do my 3d/4d ultrasound which will come up to $150..I can't wait i'ma go back when i'm 29 weeks so I can get real good pics.

Wow I gain so much every month at least 10lbs every doctors visit..probably cause I don't turn down any food..but me and the baby are fine I can't complain about anything he's moving alot more..everything is good. When are you having your baby shower? I wanna have mine in June.

Wow that story is really sad how could he do that to the four yr old! how can they lock the father up for retaliation maaaan ppl are crazy in this world. She had another son? where was he when this was goin on.....buuut I went to my doctors Tuesday my doctor told me I need to lay off the fattening foods i've gained 45lbs so far he said that's a lil much..I luv food..How much have u gained so far?

I'd use a straw and put it as far back as you can in your mouth and still suck it. I do believe I've heard that you have fewer taste buds back there & you'd be skipping all the ones in front! Just a thought - it's what I do when I don't enjoy a drink. :)

I put mine in the fridge and it wasn't bad at all. I terrified to take the first sip after hearing how terrible it is. I was shocked... not bad at all. It just tasted like oragne soda. Don't stress it's not that bad. Definitely chill it!

I have had the glucose drink both ways and trust me its a lot better cold or atleast easier to drink, than if its room temperature!

If I were you, I would refrigerate the glucose drink, it will taste nicer. It's sort of like a very sweet soda, and might taste too much like syrup if it is warm.

I have Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Michigan. I had heard from a friend at work that she was able to get the pump covered through them, so I just called the 800 number on my insurance card and asked. The woman I spoke with told me that 'yes, they are covered, however, you will need a prescription from the doctor (meaning it has to be 'medically necessary', but since it's 'necessary' to relieve engorgement....) and that I would have to pick one up at a medical supply outlet. She said that they only cover electric pumps, but since that's what I'd be purchasing anyway, it's no big deal. I'd just call your insurance company and ask, it certainly can't hurt! I also found out when I called that they would cover a midwife IF she was at the hospital. The doctor's office that I go to happens to have the ONLY midwife in the area that does work out of a hospital. Kinda crazy, but well worth the 10 minute wait that I had to endure to get someone on the phone. GOOD LUCK!
