Hi there I am about 9 weeks pregnant with my second child. My husband Joe and I are ecstatic. I have been trying for a year and a half to get pregnant. Finally the day has arrived. The wait seemed forever. Now that I am pregnant I have been diagnosed after 9 weeks with gestational diabetes. (no I am not fat and I do not eat a ton of sugar) :-)

I have an extreme case of nausea so I have been prescribed sofran... (this is what chemotherapy patience take too) A very expensive drug which more than likely my insurance company won't cover. I have extreme nausea to the point where I had to go to the ER twice this last weekend. 3 IV's later I am home.

I just finished my fourth online class at University of Phoenix Online. So I am very eager to have my one week break from school. My toddler Anjolina who is three also likes the extra attention. :-)

My husband is so busy working these days I am luck to sit next to him these days. I feel a little blue about this but I understand.

Today I was a crab. Can we say CRAB. I met a new friend but we didn't really see eye to eye. Must be pregnancy. ha ha

So today started off great my blood sugar is in the 70's after a fast. This is where I believe the doctor's want it to be. I am still too sick to drive to Denver an hour away from Colorado Springs. It is very cold outside and usually one day a week (since we share one vehicle) I drive downtown to shop or run some errands, visit friends or take Anjolina to see her friends at Chuck e Cheese. I started the day out fine... woke up nauseaus but then got really nauseaus after making breakfast for my hubby. I must be insane still cooking. I take Sofran and this other medication combined for nausea boy I really hope this goes away I would hate to have to take it throughout the rest of my pregnancy.

Still tired..... I figured it out. I am taking anti nausea pills they make me feel lazy all day. I skipped out on a shopping spree today. I must be sick....ha ha
