20th January 2008

Had a car accident today on the freeway! Very scary because there were 3 cars involved all doing 100kph. But thankfully no one was hurt! Went to the hospital to make sure that little bub was okay and they gave me an ultrasound and told me that it was a little BOY! So that was a bit of exciting news at the end of a very stressful day. My real ultrasound is on Feb 5th so it will be good to get a second opinion aswell!

5th February 2008

Had my 19 week scan today and there is definately a little BOY in there! Okay, so now I really believe it : )

He looked all healthy and very cute!

Cool! We've been saving up to go there, its taking alot longer than we expected, since we have 2 little ones, it will probably take a little bit longer. My sister in law was just there and she went on the bridge and took some amazing pictures. Looks kinda scary though. Have you done that?

Hi Don,Hows the moving going?Just make sure you don't use up all your energy! Are your hips any better? My chest infection is almost gone so i'm feeling much better and i'm not wetting myself now!I was never told how many paracetamol it was safe to take but i expect the recommended dose would be ok....i only took 1 at
a time cos i'm paranoid!
Alex and i were discussing the names situation last night and i really don't know which one I prefer...I've always liked Tyler but Al thinks Blake is a stronger name which surprised me cos he hated it when i first suggested it! He also said he likes Marshall...i'm not sure about that one but i feel like we're running out of time now! We decorated the nursey on the weekend so i feel a bit more ready now and i'll hopefully post pics soon(well,Alex will!)I'm also going to go to some birth prep classes starting next week ...i feel mentally unprepared at the moment! Anyway, hope everyones ok...speak soon x

LOL!! Your welcome! I couldn't have asked for anymore. I've got my girls and now I've got my boy! It was a huge change for my hubby, he was so used to living in pink princess land..lol! Now he's got a buddy to hang out with. I think he's a mama's boy though :oP I LOVE them! Its a welcome change to dress him in lil' man clothes! Before I had my son, I didn't think boys had such cute clothes and shoes..lol, they do!! Are you ready?? How are your girls taking the new pregnancy?? My lil' girl is now getting used to him, my older daughter is like a lil' mother. Everything is good Thank God!

Just wanted to drop in and say, Hi! I got to see my regular ob-gyn, and she confirmed that at this point I still need a c-section. She did state that they would check the baby's position on up until the morning of the surgery, but told me due to my abnormal uterus, it was unlikely this little one is going to turn. She did answer my questions, and like you, suggested the spinal...although I can have an epidural, she stated that the spinal was faster and more complete. So I am going with that after talking with you and her! I just hate the thought of someone having to move my legs around for me, but even then, if I were to have the epidural, I am still going to need help! Hahha! So I am pretty cool with it.

How are you doing? Do you realize we have just a little over SEVEN weeks!!! Man, it's dragging and flying at the same time, but mostly dragging.

Well, take care and keep in touch. Have a super weekend! :)

Thanks Donna,
I am feeling a bit better today we went to the Sugar Bush with our friends and the kiddies. It really helped my mood and feel a bit more positive. Mind you I ate like a pig with those fresh pancakes and Fresh Maple Syrup!!!!!
Hmmm... thank goodness we bought some ourselves...now I can enjoy it and have happy thoughts while suffering....lol

Wow...didn't know we would just be hours apart on the c-section...I am on the southeast coast, by the way! And I LOVE the paper chain idea...that is so sweet, and a special thing for your girls to do!!! I am so glad to see you are including them...I've seen quite a few people who don't include older siblings, and I just cannot imagine that! We are planning on including our nephews in the announcement of what we had...girl or boy that is!! Speak with you soon!

DonnaG -
DonnaG, you earned 5 BB`s because your answer on minkymoo78`s question was given the higest rating. Thank you for answering!

How funny!! Your surgery is the 25th...mine is the 24th!!! We will be SO CLOSE. I think with the time difference, this may put you ahead of me by nearly two days instead of one...not sure, and not good at figuring the time differences out! LOL!

I agree with you on the focus part of a c-section. I told hubby, I definitely didn't want to be put to sleep (it can be an option, but they really discourage it over here), because I didn't want to miss a thing!!! It's funny...I don't know who's going to cry more, him or me! Or the baby!

Thanks again, and keep in touch...we can count down the days together! And they aren't going fast enough! :)

babesinaugust - Friday, 25 April
I know how you feel about being done. I LOVE my babies I just hate being pregnant...I know I should be greatful, but this discomfort is unbearable. I am just now not on the verge of tears. I have been all morning. My husband is great but he really does not understand what it is like to FIGHT for your breathe on an hourly daily bases.
Thanks for letting me know I am not alone. Sometimes I just feel out of sorts.

happymomma2be - Thursday, 24 April
Thanks for the advice on the fiber for after a c-section. This will be my first baby and first c-section, so I am pretty nervous! Hopefully, the whole ordeal won't be as bad as I imagine, but it doesn't help that my SIL has told me horror stories...most of which I have come to find out aren't accurate although she has had TWO!!! Get this, she told me (1) that I wouldn't be able to have an epidural...I could only have a spinal...WRONG! (2) I couldn't leave the hospital until, I, er, pass gas (sorry, I know...TMI!) because they pull your intestines out part of the way...don't think that sounds right, and I've certainly never seen it with the c-sections I've watched on TV. (3) She claimed she felt like she was dying as she had a reaction to the medication and her blood pressure plummeted. Now that one can happen, but why scare me like that?! Everyone reacts differently, and we also have different doctors! Sorry, for my tale...just glad to know someone has been through this before, and that I will survive! Haha! Congrats!!

JayW - Wednesday, 23 April
I love the "sleeps chain", we have a 6 year old who also countdowns by how many "sleeps" are left...We will have to do this tonight, because I am desperatley trying to keep her as involved as possible! Thanks, again!

CCQ - Wednesday, 23 April
Such a cute idea, I might put one up even though I have no children. It would be nice to see it that way and watch the chain get smaller. :)

zani0321 - Tuesday, 22 April
