7/2/07: My husband and I met skydiving in Tallahassee, where we were friends for 3 years before we started dating. When we started dating, we lived 2 hours apart and eventually made our way to Orlando where we got engaged. We've been married since September of 2005. We just started talking about the idea of having children in December of 2006, and by May we were excited to learn we were expecting our first! I'm due Feb 2 of '08. We've had an ultrasound, where we got to see and hear a heartbeat and got our first picture of our little creation.
8/6/07: I'm in my 15th week and still feeling nausea in the evenings. I've lost 10 pounds since I got pregnant, so I'm ready to start keeping some dinner down! We have our next ultrasound appt. on Aug 10 to see how baby is doing, we're getting excited now that my belly is rounded and hard!
10/18/07: (2 of my paragraphs disappeared!?) Anyway, I'm about 25 weeks, and no nausea, no fatigue, I've gained the 10 lbs I lost, and a few more. I have a very round belly and very firm - he kicks like crazy all day everyday, my husband can see my belly hopping from across the room! I started progesterone shots, two a week, which prevent contractions and help prolong preterm labor. I also did the gestational diabetes drink this week - yuk. Not as bad as I expected, but certainly not Good! Tasted like orange syrup. We got the crib this week too, haven't started to set anything up yet, but now I can better plan the layout of the room... we're getting so excited!!
10/27/07: The greatest thing just happened!! The baby kicked (or kneed, or elbowed, etc.) and I put my fingers there, and he pushed back - for about a minute! He would adjust and move around a little, but he kept pushing back for about a minute - it was AWESOME!!
