boy calls me mom

Jamison is now 5 months of age and changing day by day! He sucks his toes, squeals in delight at the cats, rolls over both ways, and continues to melt my heart. He loves peas and this silly little seahorse. I have more love in my heart for him than I knew existed. He brightens each day when he wakes up with his half open eyes and smiles ear to ear at the sound of my voice. I love holding him and snuggling with him on the couch. His bright blue eyes tell a story...and I love every chapter!

My sOn More....

My husband and I found out we were expecting on April 23rd. According to a due date calculator we are due on Dec 31, 2007. Our pregnancy was a big surprise. We were just married in October and had planned on waiting until at least until the end of the summer before trying to conceive. And even then, we were just going to let it happen. Looks like GOD has other plans for us. We will be closing on our first home July 3rd and are very stressed. Time is going to fly...As the days pass, we become more and more excited. We can't wait to meet our precious little baby.

The picture above is from our wedding October 7, 2006. To date, the absolute best day of my life. It cound'nt have been a more beautiful day. Our wedding was more than I could ever ask for.

June 5, 2007---My parents were in town this past weekend and we got to break the news!! We were waiting to tell them in person, and it was worth the wait. They are excited, and already planning their next trip up. Now they have no excuse not to come visit. My first doctor's appointment is in just 6 days...the anticipation is horrible. I just need to know that everything is moving along as scheduled.

June 12, 2007---My first doctor's appointment was yesterday. What a relief. Everything seems to be going as planned. The heartbeat was amazing. It appeared that the baby was attempting to hide by my right pelvic bone. With patience and persaverence the nurse found "him" after about 20 minutes. (we don't know it's a boy yet) It was like a washing machine...such a miracle. I get to have an ultrasound on Monday the 18th for dating purposes and mostly a piece of mind. I can't wait!! My next appointment is on July 6th.

August 20, 2007---Wow is time flying. We found out a week ago today that we are awaiting the arrival of a precious little boy. It has added to the anticipation...I can't wait to hold him see what he is going to look like. My husband is estatic over having a son. The first word out of his mouth when we clearly saw that it was a boy (baby flashed us) was WOW...he was speechless. And then of course I started balling as I watched my husband hold back his tears. My life continues to change as I await the birth. My priorities have changed and I have realized that I have my own family now. What a miracle!

Just Mommies Predicts::::

Get your bags packed early just in case you need them. Make sure your partner has a phone available when he's away because this baby just might come early. We predict your baby will come 2-3 weeks early. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. Justmommies predicts that your baby will weigh approximately 6.5 pounds and that your labor will be about 12 hours long.

Sounds Too Good to Be True!!

BIRTH STORY

I went into the hospital Wednesday the 26th at 8pm and they placed Cervadil on my cervil to soften it up and jump start labor. The next morning they started pitocin at 10 am. My contrctions instantly started at 1 minute apart. I had my epidural at 1pm and they broke my water around 3. At about 8:45 pm I was only 6-7 centimeters. The told me most likely 5 more hours (3 hours of contracting and 2 hours of pushing) Less than a half hour later I was ten centimenters and pushed my line backer (9lb 7 oz, 22 inches long!!) out in 5 minutes!!! Jamison Xavior was born at 9:25 pm. Only one stitch. I have no idea what happened to make things so easy, but it was the most amazing experience ever!

See how my baby is doing 22 weeks & 2 day pregnant. Only 124 days to go!

captshelley - Wednesday, 21 May
Things got worse before they got better..as always. Anyways, Alex and I put our pride aside yesterday and spoke for the first time in 2 weeks. We are going to keep trying at this relationship. I'm also going back to work a few days a week to get out of the house and for my own stability. I feel trapped when I rely on other people so I think this might help my mental health...know what I mean? Thanks so much for your conern. It really made me feel good. :)

PRETTIEST MOM
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 pretty Moms.
If you get hit again, You will know you are REALLY pretty!
So hit 15 pretty moms on your friends list to let them know they are
pretty!
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Send this to someone who you think is a special Mom.''

jasklihani - Monday, 19 May
All of my kids go through at least 3 car seats: 1 infant, 1 that goes up to 40 pounds, and then a booster. My daughters stayed in their car seats until they were 8. My son is currently 4 years old and in his 5th car seat already! I like to change them up -- they get really yukky too if you allow eating in the car (which I do even though I know I shouldn't!).

I think it's OK to be a tummy sleeper at this point. As long as he can roll himself over, he should be fine. And, yay (!), the risk of SIDS is much lower now. I hate even thinking of that!

I'm so hungry today. grr - I just finished 2 cookies and am already looking for another snack! MOOOOOOO

MrsCarney - Monday, 19 May
Aww - he has such a cute smile! How are you guys doing??? I hardly get on here anymore...

jasklihani - Sunday, 18 May
how's ur sunday going? hope it's not a lonley one :)

jasklihani - Wednesday, 14 May
Happy birthday, PJ! Hope he's not wiggling his belly now :) LOL!

I love dark chocolate covered pretzels! YUMMY!

We just had our health fair at work and phew, they said my weight, body fat %, and cholesterol are fine, but my blood pressure was a little high. It went up during pregnancy but back down after Kira was born -- I hope I don't have to go on meds for it.

jasklihani - Tuesday, 13 May
Will you start saying he's 5 months at that time or will you wait until the 27th? Our babies are getting so big!! waah!

samplus4 - Tuesday, 13 May
Thank you for keeping me in your prayers! Jamison is such a cutie!!! God bless you and your family!

jasklihani - Tuesday, 13 May
Jamison was born 12/27, right? Just one day before Kira? Do you have any idea how many weeks they are now? Are they 20 weeks old already? I'm getting so confused! I just got an email from the hospital I delivered at about my 5 month old, 20 week baby. I just barely got used to her being 4 months - I'm not ready to say she's 5 months already. Yikes - time is flyiing!

jasklihani - Tuesday, 13 May
haha - i have a hard time buying for jared, too. and it's so funny that you say pj is like a woman -- jared totally is! the one time i bought him chocolates, he said, "why did you get me these, don't you think i'm already fat enough!" haha! then, he went on to enjoy eating them all in one night!

for his birthday this year, i got him an ipod. i can't believe we waited that long to buy one. he absolutely loves it!

jasklihani - Tuesday, 13 May
Haha - you're right, Mother's Day should be once a month!

I always like to tell everyone I am a mother of 4 for the shock value! It really isn't that bad though since my oldest girls are so easy. The hardest part about them is driving them everywhere and making sure their homework is done. My aunt, on the other hand, had her 4 children 4 years in a row! Could you imagine having a newborn, 1, 2, and 3 year old? I have no idea how she ever left the house! LOL!

jasklihani - Tuesday, 13 May
Thanks for sending me that link! I had the Evenflo Triumph for Liam! It's funny that 4 years later, it's still considered one of the best! I will probably end up buying that one again. I love the Britax but I hate the price!!

shaynemarie - Monday, 12 May
Thank you so much, we feel blessed. My husband & I are very sentimental and love to take lots of pics and videos. we all ready have over 1000 pics and she is just 4 weeks old....lol can you tell this is our first :)
Your son is very beautiful, you also are blessed!
Take Care,
Shayne

jasklihani - Monday, 12 May
just read your note about mother's day. that stinks! i was also kind of pissed on mother's day. i knew my dh had to work but i was secretly hoping he'd surprise me by taking the day off. well, he didn't! so i was stuck cleaning and taking care of the 4 kids as usual. When he got home, i was in a sad mood and told him how i felt. he was so sorry. he told me he's just a stupid guy and i can never assume he knows what i want him to do. he said next time if i want him to take the day off, just to let him know and he'll do it. that made me feel better -- i'm married to a dummy, but at least he's a sweet dummy!
did your husband buy you anything other than taco bell?
