My birthing story as it unfolded not very detailed just the important pieces from bottom to top:

Thank you so much for your comments...This was my first natural delivery out of 7 births...I was really determined to have this experience if God so pleased. My oldest daughter has two children and each of her births were natural, she was awesome, her husband was shocked to see what a strong young women she was...I new it would be difficult, especially for someone like myself who had already experience partial pain free births...I planned to stay at home as long as I could before going to the hospital, keeping in mind that I've had 6 previous delivers so the birthing process could go extremely quick. Doing this allowed me to endure much of the work, time, and effort at home and knowing that once the pain reached it's peak I was at the end the baby was crowning and pushing time has arrived...It is the best experience for a woman. It allows you to appreciate the birthing process more, recognize the enormous strength that you've been blessed with, bond more with your new gift and ultimately increase your love, respect, and gratitude to your Mother and Mothers in general...I'm glad I did it...now I have to work on building these 40 year old muscles up again...A lot harder at my age...God Bless and All the Best with your Blessing to come.

10/17/07-I was 39 weeks and 2 days when i went to see my doctor on Monday she said I was 3 cm, 70% effaced but my baby's head was still high...I left her office at about 10:30 am went food shopping, came home ate a little something and laid down. At 9pm I was having contraction every 7-10 minutes apart, By 7am Tuesday morning I was having severe contractions with lots of pelvic, back and buttocks pain...went to the hospital at 10:30 am and I was 4 cm dilated, head was completely engaged and I was in full blown labor...I delivered my daughter 3 and 1/2 hours later at 2pm...completely natural...so the process can start at anytime and when it does it can move quickly...
Hello Ladies: Just stopping through to say I delivered my baby on 10/16/07 at 1:58 pm California time after being in 12 hours of moderate labor at home and 3.5 hours of hard difficult labor at the hospital. My first time experiencing a Natural Birth I'm so happy I remained focused and did not give in. I gave birth to 7 lb 1 oz baby girl who is 20 inches long and just the most precious gift from God. I must say that the delivery was extremely difficult but the benefits of a healthy baby and mom are remarkably great and far more rewarding.. I am currently uploading pictures now. Stay tune little princess will be uploaded in about 5 minutes...Congratulations to all those who have delivered and for those who are anxiously waiting ...your time is coming I was just in your shoes on Monday looking and hoping to deliver and Tuesday I went in labor...Thanks everyone this site was great, comforting, and full of wonderful support...see you ladies soon...little one loves nibbling on the breast...oh by the way...I delivered her on Tuesday and came home on Weds...another benefit of natural childbirth.

10/16/07-good morning ladies it's 5:27 am and I've been having contraction that have been 5-7 minutes apart they started at 9pm and I went to L&D at 12:00 am I was placed on the monitor and examined by the midwife...she said that I was still 3cm dilated and that I had a choice of staying in the hospital or going home until the contractions became unbearable...seeing that I want a natural child birth with no or minimum interventions I chose to come home...well I tried sleeping but these contractions are no joke...I can't believe that they are going to get worse than this...pause...ok I'm back wow this is really amazing...if I was at the hospital right now I would have probably asked for some kind of pain relief...having the 7 min break and my Mother-in-law who is a professional Massauce along with being in the comfort of my home it's not that bad...I'm glad she gave me the choice...I will probably return in another 2-3 hours...I've been having light bleeding that started yesterday...I pray my water breaks before I return...I will keep you all updated as I progress...all the best to Ilovemybaby...be back soon
10/15/07-Hi Ladies back from my appointment it went really quick and I have progressed to 3cm +0 station and 70% effaced...Doctor said my membranes were already stripped but it sure was uncomfortable when she was checking...I am currently having some light bleeding that she said is common and she expects that I will be going in full labor at any time...I've been having mild to moderate contraction since last night now after the appointment they are much stronger and closer together...going to go and take my lunch and see what happens will keep everyone posted...all the best to everyone.

Although I'm a Nurse delivering babies is not my specialty...so having a website like this one is totally awesome...
I love being a Nurse and the rewarding feeling that you get by assisting others...working in the ER you get a variety of situation which enhances and broadens your nursing knowledge...I believe you must have a love for the profession and not the reward from it...Loving what you do allows you to be the best at it whether you receive a monetary gain or not...just the inner feeling of satisfaction from being; just, honest, caring, and nurturing is rewarding enough...There are many days I've come home from work and felt horrible and no amount of pay could relieve that feeling...Nursing is more than a job for me it's my LIFE outside of work...

Good Morning Ladies!!! Off to week 15 tomorrow...time is flying when I joined this site I was just 6 weeks...Work yesterday was extremely overwhelming the ER was slammed with patients in the Hall, waiting room and charts on the rack that had a 3 hour wait to be seen by the doctor...We Had 3 code blues in less than hour...I only worked 4 hours but it seemed like 12...when I got home at 12 am I changed my clothes, made my prayer, ate a bowl of cereal and fell out...I'm so blessed to have my energy back...I'm able to cook, take care of my 5 year old and work again...still feeling a bit nauseated everyday but able to keep food down...well have a blessed day... Thought for the day: RESPECT is something that is not Learned, Taught, or Acquired it can only be EARNED

Friday: 4/27/07 : 11:35 pst: Well I haven't been keeping a diary over the past 3 1/2 months due to extreme pregnancy induce sickness...I am off to work again tonight 11pm-7am...I love working in the ER but not when it's crazy esp. on the weekends because we are a Trauma center and after 2am we are busy...I have many support people at my job and many are happy to have me back...I miss being home and my children when I'm gone...but I need to work if I want to go back to West Africa after the baby is born...I Black Amerian from US but had a wonderful opportunity to visit and live in West Africa, Mauritania for 3 years with 5 of my children and what a blessing it was for all of us. My Husband and I agreed that it would be much easier on me with my newborn and my 5 year old to go and reside there for a year or two where I can have 24 help with cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc...I can't wait to leave and it only cost 50- 100 dollars a month...I miss being over there so much...I spoke with one of my closest friends over there and she can't wait for me to return...she is very wealthy and has a beautiful Mansion over there...we use to sit and talk and watch satellite TV and out of nowhere the delicious food would arrive...no cooking, cleaning, washing dishes...just relaxing...Well in order to enjoy all of that I have to sacrifice now and work to have my US dollars...well I'm going to get on the Treadmill and do my 3 miles if Allah (God) permits and then take some rest before going to work...I have a doppler that I purchased off the internet and I have the opportunity to listen to my babies heartbeat everyday, still beating strong 150-160 bpm, Praise Be to Allah. Sometimes I hear two one on each side can't wait to have my ultrasound to find out how many is in there...have a blessed day and Remember...Mankind can Have Nothing Except what he Strives (Works) For!!!

Don't be afraid it's bound to happen, either from a bundle of little ones or with old age...So I'm preparing by stocking up on my Depends now before Global Warming Destroys all the trees leaving us with no PAPER...lol...oops forgot I also pee when I LAUGH, COUGH, and VOMIT...wow is my hubby in for a suprise at 8 months I begin to wet the bed...smile

Good Morning Expectant Mothers to be: I pray all is well with everyone and that we are all past the 1st trimester BLUES...I go for my prenatal appointment this morning and will find out when I will have my ultrasound can't wait...My Hubby and I have decided to go traditionally and wait until delivery day to find out who's inside of me...this is my first pregnancy that I've suffered from MIGRANES AND HEARTBURN...The Heartburn happens after every meal almost...so I keep my Mylanta right next to me...Thought: If these babies can stay in our wombs compacted for nine-ten months I can endure a little heartburn/migrane...Justlike them we will forget it all once they come out...smile...Have a Blessed day

Good Morning Ladies and Happy Mothers day to all and to those first time expecting Mothers I would like to say...Motherhood starts in the womb...for this is the place that the seed is planted, cultivated, nurtured, and given life by the Almighty Creator...the first movement that is felt in the womb is like the farmer watching the bud sprout from the soil...at this moment He truly knows he's a farmer...so I am sending you this to let you know you are a MOTHER and
