Above: New fun pictures I'm 5 months pregers in these pics! 3/24/07
Hello ladies-My name is Emily, I am a 20 year old nursing student, and pregnant with my first child. Perfect timing, were on the prenatal unit in school this semester! JThe father of my child, my boyfriend, my soul mate, and the most wonderful person I’ve ever met, his name is Joe, and he’s also 20 years old, studying Criminology. We are both incredibly excited about our future bundle of joy, due on July 24th, 2007.A year ago I miscarried, it’s probably the biggest challenge I’ve ever had to overcome, and it’s made this pregnancy a challenge as well. The miscarriage was asymptomatic, I had no idea I had lost the baby, until my 3 month apt. and they found no heartbeat. The second time around, you wonder, “How do I know if everything’s ok?”Which causes you to worry about every little detail; pains, no pains, nausea, no nausea…everything worries you…and I sure had a lot to think about.I knew I was pregnant the first week, the test was even negative till 2 weeks later…From the first week I was peeing every ½ an hour, I was more tired then I had ever been, I was nauseated all day every day with occasional puke sessions! It was a rough first 3 months. So then the signs and symptoms go away and I am still nervous! We got to see a our baby at 5 weeks and 6 weeks…and that was the last time we saw the little squirt, were really looking forward to Feb. 26th, and we’ll see our little bundle and hopefully find out the sex.Neither of us really have a preference, we just pray for a healthy baby, as I am sure, all of you expecting mother’s do as well! So I really love talking to other “mom’s to be.” So please talk to me if you want! Swap stories! Ask questions…So good luck ladies! And I’ll keep you up-to-date.

February 16th (week 17)
I went to the doctor today for the flu shot…I know a lil’ late in the season, but better late then never…I heard the heartbeat for the 3rd time today…maybe the fourth…The HR was 155 today, at first it was 160 at first and then 150….Anyone 17 weeks? What is a normal HR for now? I’ve been eating like crazy, but really haven’t gained a lb, I actually lost some weight.Which worries me but the Doc says I’m just making up for not eating and throwing up the first three months…I pretty sure I feel the baby kick, as a matter a fact, I’m pretty sure its having a party in there right now, but its so hard to differentiate between digestion, heart pounding harder and the baby….I’m sure that will change soon! Good luck ladies! Keep in touch!
Above: my 17 week pictures taken Feb. 15th! Can you believe it, you’d never know there was a life growing in there…so tiny…hopefully I’ll start growing soon.Hey, and it’s hard to see in pictures, but I really have a dark line from my belly button on down…see it? Ha kind of neat!
February 23rd (week 18)
Daddy heard baby’s kicks with a stethoscope…and even felt them a little bit. It’s so exciting!3 more days till the big day, sonogram, finding out if it’s a he or she! We can’t wait to see our little love! Besides the little movement every so often, I don’t feel real pregnant, I’m showing a little bit, as you can see.And I seriously eat ALL THE TIME! My legs are touching, I’m Fat! I guess it’s worth it! I’ll let you know how the apt goes! Good luck to you all!

Go to ImageShack® to Create your own SlideshowAbove: February 26th...18 week pictures of our stubborn lil' baby! How gorgeous! March 4th(19 weeks) This week has been wonderful. We went this past Monday to the doctor for our sonogram, and to find out the sex. It was a stressful appointment, because my mom is a manipulative crazy. But the baby was so beautiful, stubborn, but beautiful!Everything looked normal, the picture wasn’t as clear as some peoples’ are, but we saw all 4 chambers of the heart, organs, spine, legs, feet, hands, arms, it was great! The legs were together…OF COURSE! Stubborn like its mother…but Joe and I are thinking how wonderful it would be to have a surprise at the delivery. I think it’d be fun to not know. That’s probably what we’ll end up doing but if not, we’ll find out this month the 26th.So what else, I still haven’t gained more then a pound… But since the baby is healthy, and I eat like a pig, I guess it’s not a problem. The baby is incredibly active especially when I’m sitting up…or turning in bed, and especially when I eat!!! It’s going to be a food lover like his daddy. Last night I went to the Marquette basketball game against Pittsburg, It was a good time!!! It was sooooooooo loud though, and I have NEVER felt the baby kick so hard in my life! And even though I’m not gaining, I’m showing a lot, people can tell…my friends who haven’t seen me in 2 weeks were shocked! And its not a soft belly, its hard as rock…Its all baby…painful at times, but I love it! I’m a little skeptical on how it will actually get bigger… Ha ha…Time seems to be going so fast, I can’t believe its only 140 days left, it really is not that long of a time, were basically ½ way there.Well Good luck to everyone! Keep in touch. <3Go to ImageShack® to Create your own SlideshowAbove: My 19 week pictures! All baby, hard as rock, belly!
