This is me & Maddyx at week 27

Still 27 weeks.. maybe a big boy!?

Week 30: We had our fisrt of 5 antenatal classes on wed night. It was... interesting. We had to watch a natural birth dvd, and i was ok up until after the baby came out. Then it showed what the vagina looked like.. it looked like a half eaten carcass! I was so mortified and every time i think about giving birth that's what i see. Sorry to gross out all you first mum's out there but yeah it was not a pretty sight. After all its like trying to squeeze a watermelon through a hole the size of a lemon.. Next week we watch a dvd on a c-section delivery.

I am now in week 31 of my pregnancy and boy am i feeling it! Although I wake up every day smiling because i have a beautiful boy inside me, i am so excited to meet him and become a mum. My pregnancy has been enjoyable so far, and yeah i have the odd complaint here and there, but who doesn't when they're pregnant! My main complaint at the moment is aching in the pelvis/groin area. Towards the end of the day is when it's worst. It can be as simple as rolling over in bed or getting off the couch. OUCH! And seeing as i still have around 8 weeks to go i have accepted that this will be a normal thing until he's born because he's only going to get heavier!

Week 31 & a half: Last night matt and i went to our second class and it was much better than the first. We watched a video on epidural pain relief which was really informative. I was worried about risks and the procedure and all that but now am reassured that if i need to have it i'm confident that everything will be fine. This time last week i was so scared of giving birth but i am much more relaxed and even excited about it now! we got to see the birthing suite and its better than i could imagine. it has a spa and massage equipment, nice big rug, a tv. its got everything! even matt was impressed.. he was joking around saying all it needs is the playstation and beer.. yeah right!!
