A little bit about myself...I have been a registered nurse for the past 2 1/2 years with one year of medical/surgical nursing. I currently work for an allergist and am simply loving both the hours and the work! I am an avid long distance runner (although have scaled back quite a bit since the pregnancy) and enjoy hiking, kayaking, water skiing, and anything outdoors! My husband Steven and I have been married for 3 years and are so excited about our future addition!

6.1 hours ago I'm actually getting my BSN from VCU here in Richmond (Virginia Commonwealth University) I heard that they are the #1 school in the country for CRNA if you ever plan on doing that. It pays great money I just don't know if I would want to do that for a living- I am thinking more of NP. Do you have your bachelors or Associates right now? You don't have Gmail, do you? (its an email for google) The only reason why I ask is because it has a little instant messenger on it. Yes, I am desperately bored! haha All of my friends have M-F jobs and out and about, as well as my hubby. Its fun to talk to other nurses also expecting their first :-) I have only been on this site more often as of lately because of the bedrest, but I am not a big fan of the layout, process etc. peanutsmommy1 -
8.5 hours ago you only work 3 days a week at an allergist office? are you full time -12 hr shifts- or part time? i think that job sounds fun. i need to eventually go to see if i have a true latex allergy- i get hives on my hands with prolonged use of latex gloves... so i use the non latex for now. im in school right now for my bachelors degree in nursing but its part time and i will be done next year- i do plan on eventually getting my masters as well- but like you said - need to work around baby now! anna elisabeth is beautiful- very classic! our baby's name is sydney grace. i cant wait to meet her! i cant get over how much i can see her strong movements outside of my belly now! soo i am due 8/22...but there is a big chance they will induce me this or next wweek bc of the preeclampsia= now that you know my life story! haha are you excited and nervous too?? first child, right/. mine too dhutchins37 -
10.7 hours ago Aww thanks. Yes it was horrible. I interviewed someone I had known previously. He didn't know I was five months pregnant. The bad thing is I was thinking I looked pretty good that day. Apparently he called my coworker and told him how dumpy and horrible I looked. I was so upset the rest of the day! peanutsmommy1 -
21.5 hours ago I agree!! I feel like there is so much more that we could have learned in OB rotation! I have definately been learning a lot on my journey! I am a pediatric Intensive care nurse. I really enjoy it & love working with kids! I dont know how hard it will be to handle once I am a mom though :-( I guess we'll see! How close are you to Richmond? I have never heard of Haymarket. What type of nursing do you do?? In terms of your dilation and effacement, from what MD's have told me, its a good sign that your body is progressing! But you could rapidly move to the next level and go into labor next week (chances are slim) and you could also remain in the same stage that you are in until week 40. There is no way of really telling. That's just what I've been told but who knows! I am new to all this too! Amanda26 -
26.7 hours ago Thanks for the pic comment. I'm glad to hear that my tummy has dropped some. TeeanBaby1 -
31.8 hours ago Yep! That's all I want to do. Lay up on the couch and watch tv. I really wish I didn't have to get 7 in the morning to come to work. I'm not a morning person at all. Never have been. I can't to have him because the only thing I will be doing most days is taking care of him. I will have class one night a week but that's it. I can do whatever I want to do that includes the baby, of course. I'm looking forward to it. Hope I don't get depressed though. That sucks that your leave isn't paid. I don't even get a leave. I'm a temp so I really don't care at this point. TeeanBaby1 -
32 hours ago Wow you're really good. I sit down all day. I was just saying I couldn't imagine being on my feet all day while pregnant. People like yourself do it though. More power to you. I think I'm a go home early. I'm just not feeling well. Everything is hurting. Breaks aren't enough. I don't want to be here at all coltonsmom -
Tuesday, 22 July Excellent response to my poll question (about Braxton Hicks Contractions) - Thank you very much. I totally agree with you, and obviously feel for you with that CRAZY bill. *sigh* I don't know what they are thinking, we can't afford these type of costs!! I don't know what I'd do if I got a bill for 1K in the mail. Jadedpoet -
Tuesday, 22 July LOL thanks for the comment, if it makes you feel any better they aren't my pre-preggo jeans. I bought some normal jeans from the thrift store that were about 3 sizes bigger than my normal size at the middle of the pregnancy since I figured I would grow into them and they were way cheaper than maternity jeans LOL. (hint low rise jeans work the greatest)
I also figured with more washes I could shrink them and wear them after baby!
Looking at your pics your small yourself!! LOL You can rock them too, don't play haha.

Thursday, 17 July The name Anna is classic, always modern, somewhat sophisticated, yet plain. It is always in style. I love that name, and I asked my husband to let me use that name with our next daughter. We are more than likely going to go with Ada this time, but only if we get to use Anna with our next daughter. I want two A-named girls. nezbit -
Monday, 14 July Thanks!!! I am one size away from pre-pregnancy jeans. This is after baby #3. barbarac -
Friday, 11 July I agree, I've been feeling mad, like nothing makes me happy all week. I just can't seem to get a grip. I also feel an overwhelming feeling to hurry and get everything ready and he is like we have 3 months. But who really knows how long you have right? mommatiff3 -

Friday, 11 July Oh me too the closer I get the more afraid that I am of only getting six weeks, especially with breast feeding. People do it all the time and it works out so I am sure we will be ok! Hope you're having a good day.

Tuesday, 1 July LOL. Thank you, that's sweet. Yeah, I guess truth be known, most of my days are hormonal as well, but I'd like to think not ALL of them are! lol I'd love to say I know they'll get better once I have the baby and am not pregnant anymore, but being as this isn't my first, I know better than that! Then I'll just be sleep deprived and hormonal! Oh, not to mention fat, b/c there's no longer an excuse for the extra weight! Boy, I really am having a hormonal day huh? LoL Hope my horomes haven't ruined your day! :) mommythethird -
