3/26/08 - We are very fortunate to have found good childcare for Frankie. About 2 weeks before I had to go back to work, we went to look at the daycare we were going to use. OMG. It was horrible. We looked at 4 more daycares. The ones that were at least clean had two to nine week waiting lists. and I still left them crying. Can you see your baby vying with 9 other kids for the attention of TWO childcare workers??? OMG, that is horrible. I just started praying and vowed to call everyone I knew to see if they knew someone who watched kids at home. My first call of the day was to my Tupperware lady. I had to pick up an order and I asked her if she knew anyone. She sold Tupperware while she stayed home with her two little girls, 5 years old and 18 months. She said she didn't know anyone but she would be glad to watch him. That easy! She has been wonderful. And her girls just love him. Her husband raises bulls for the rodeo so even he's around during the day too. Our first snowfall, her daughter asked her mom "do you think baby Frankie knows it's snowing?" it's so cute. One of the girls who had her child before me at work is already on her second babysitter.

1/28/08 - Getting my tubes tied next month. I don't know if I would be able to do this a year ago but now that we have Frankie, I guess it's time. We will have fun raising him, he's hilarious already. I will be holding him and he's watching me and I will look at him and he shuts his eyes real quick like we are playing a game! It's so funny. But if I try to play "Peek-a-Boo" with him, he gives me a look like "Is this supposed to be funny? I know you are there!" He makes me laugh so much. He loves the bathtub but that's probably because he likes being naked. On his 6 week birthday, Bob decided he was old enough to go to Hooter's for the first time. Men! He hates the car seat. Everyone I talk to says how their babies love the car. Frankie gets motion sick and if we travel a ways, it throws off his eating schedule. My girls got car sick too but that was back when they traveled facing forward. Poor boy has to travel backwards and so it is worse. Heck, I can't even travel facing backwards! I went back to work on 1/14. After visiting several daycares that I hated, my Tupperware lady offered to watch him for me. Thank GOD!!! She stays at home with her two little girls and they just love "baby Frankie". I am very fortunate. We thought we'd have this blonde curly haired little girl and have a red haired little boy with a Mohawk most of the time because it won't lay flat. He has daddy's toes and my grandfather's chin and looks like my youngest daughter at that age.

This is a picture of him watching Sportscenter with his bottle and the remote control. Some things are just genetic. He is on Enfamil with apple juice once in awhile to make sure he poos okay. He has slept through the night about 4 or 5 times but it's not every night. He was 9 lbs at birth so he's already over 12 lbs. My doctor says he's 75th percentile. I was like he's over 12 lbs!! Who the heck is at 100th percentile????!!! We take him to my daughter's basketball games. He's her biggest fan! She has red hair too so calls him "mini-me".

Got back on the tennis court this weekend. Ugh, can't move my legs today. My arm is fine, probably from lugging around my 12# baby! that's ok. He is growing so fast can hardly believe it's the same kid I had 9 weeks ago. Not looking forward to shots this Friday. I'm seeing a lot of you and the babies sick. Sorry to hear that. Hope you all will be back to healthy soon.

Frankie is getting bigger and bigger every day. My daughter is in softball season now and that doesn't hold his attention nearly as well as basketball did. On the up side though, he watches the NCAA tournament with us!! LOL! He still doesn't travel well so my sister and her family drove all the way down from Toledo for Easter to see him. I made DVDs of him playing for my dad and other sister to see him. He won't eat cereal yet and is only up to about 7 oz of formula. We are trying to stretch his eating interval out with juice. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. We are still fighting with my husband's work to get Frankie insured. First they added him but not as a dependent. So when the first round of bills from hospital/doctors came back, they said they fixed it. Well, they added him but with effective date of 12/31/07. So then all the bills before that came back, then they said they would fix it again. He's almost four months old and I got bills back this week because they added him as DENTAL only. Now, how many teeth did YOUR kid have when he was born?????!! Ridiculous! Someone should get fired. I've lost 10 more lbs since I've been back to work. I should be back to normal by June. We have rented a cottage on Lake Erie the end of July so we can house my daughter at summer school for a week. We are looking forward to that, even though getting Frankie there and back won't be pleasant. He still hates the car.
