I was married on August 4, 2007 and found out I was pregnant at the end of August after an amazing honeymoon. Although we were a bit shocked to be pregnant so quickly, we are so excited. In December we learned that we were having a baby girl and have decided to name her Brooke. I can't wait to see who she looks like, what her personality is like...and mostly, I can't wait to be her mom. We are working on her nursery, and preparing the house for our baby. Because she is the first grandchild on my side and the first girl on my husband's side...everyone is really excited for Brooke's arrival. Each set of grandparents has actually set up a nursery in their house...all for one special baby! The other wonderful part is that I have 5 friends and my sister-in-law that are pregnant and due between February and June. My sister-in-law is actually due 6 days after me. Two babies (one boy and one girl) to add to the family in one week!!! It really has been a wonderful adventure (and I am sure it will only get better)!
Brooke Marie was born on May 6th at 8:34pm. She weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 21 inches long. We are totally in love!!!

Tuesday, 11 Sep hi firsttimemom, did you find the ginger tea? i hope its helping. nothing worse than feeling quesy in front of room full of teenaged students. you go girl! i'm feeling better - my yeast infection seems to be going away. i may never buy monistat again! :) lucky i don't get these often. can't remember the last time, actually. anyway, was feeling crampy this morning and wondered if all was well. i hate being such a nervous nelly but i really want everything to be wonderful with this baby. from what i read, it was just my uterus stretching. grow baby, grow! writergirl -

Friday, 7 Sep Hi firstimemom, how are your classes going? and how are you feeling? i hope its not too bad. i've been reading about the next few weeks and they say by week 8 the placenta starts kicking in which decreases the hormones. that should help with the symptoms so hang in there. it's just a few weeks away. Friday, 7 Sep Hyde park is 1.5 hours south of Albany, so you sound very close to where my in-laws live. Did you grow up there? Its so beautiful, a lot more beautiful then California but you can't beat the weather here! How are you feeling? alia -
Friday, 7 Sep Congrats to you too! Funny that you say that if you keep eating your feel less sick...I've definitely found the same thing over the last few days. I've even woken my husband up in the middle of the night eating saltines because I wake up feeling queasy! Funny! :) Glad to hear you also have a spoiled pooch at your house too. What will they do when they're not the center of our universe anymore?! :) cosmogirl -

Wednesday, 5 Sep Congratulations! I actually just found out I was pregnant 4 days ago. I thought aunt flo was supposed to arrive between 8/28-8/31. I was wrong and recaulated. Should have been here the week before. So I took a test, not getting my hopes up since my husband and I have been trying since December. Well, there were two lines and I started crying. I was and still am very excited! I just hope all goes well. Good luck to you! AmyJ -

Wednesday, 5 Sep Hi, I am extremely tired too. Its hard to get throught the day. Hopefully it will start getting better, at least they say it only last through the first trimester. Good luck with teaching a bunch of high school students! AmyJ -
Tuesday, 4 Sep Thank You and I am feeling OK except for a nasty cold. I have ZERO pregnancy symptoms which is really weird for me. I have to admit that I am a bit worried. My sister's friend had no pregnancy symptom's and ended up with an empty sack. I am trying to think positive and I am trying not to 'look' for symptoms. We will see... with my luck I will be heaving in the morning?!?! AmyJ -

Wednesday, 29 Aug i hate to be so blunt but i've been gassy since day one. embarrassingly so :) and i have had heavy boobs for a while. lately my boobs are getting more sensitive but not really hurting. and for the last 2 or 3 days i've had a pain in my right leg. i'm sure the baby implanted on the right side because of the weird feeling i get when i sleep on that side. so i think my uterus is pressing on a nerve or something. nothing major though. oh yeah, i've head an almost constant headache. alot of these are hormonal so i think its a good sign that everything is progressing well. what about you? writergirl -
Wednesday, 29 Aug congratulations on your pregnancy! we have the same due date. hopefully we'll have a fabulous pregnancy. are you having lots of symptoms? i've been spared so far. nothing major to complain about. even though i wouldn't complain a bit. i've wanted a baby for the longest time so i'll be happy with any symptoms as long as the baby is healthy. good luck! ladyann -
