I gave birth naturally to a handsome baby boy at exactly 9pm on Tuesday 11th September 2007, after an 11 hour labour. My labour had been induced by use of prostaglandin gel at 9.30am that morning, and I went into labour almost immediately. At that stage I was 1-2 centimetres dilated, and almost fully effaced. My baby's head was also very low. By 1:45pm, I was having contractions every 2 minutes, and by 2:30pm, my contractions were 70 seconds apart, and lasting 30 seconds long. At 4:55pm, my waters were broken, and I was given Gas and Air, which served only as a distraction; it didn't seem to relieve my pain at all. At 5:45pm, I was given one shot of Pethedine, which only relieved my pain for about 30 minutes. By 7:30pm, I was 6 centimetres dilated, and by 8:15pm, I was fully dilated and I started to push. Joey was born 45 minutes later, weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and measuring 51.5 centimetres long. During the process, I tore internally, and needed stitches, although they came away the next day! Joey is gorgeous, with large dark blue eyes, and fair hair. :)

Below are all the photos of my fiancé and pets

My fiancé and my baby's daddy, Mark.

My Jack Russell Terrier, Coveu being greeted by my tabby moggy, Darcey.

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Nieko being naughty as usual!

My first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bono (My beloved first dog, who passed away in October 06, taking a huge part of my heart with him) with my black moggy, Sasha.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

PRETTIEST MOM
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 pretty Moms.
If you get hit again, You will know you are REALLY pretty!
So hit 15 pretty moms on your friends list to let them know they are
pretty!
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Send this to someone who you think is a special Mom.'
