Above Alexandra and Daddy - Picture taken June 2008

Above My Neily!
My Background and History -
Hello - I am 25 years old and from the UK. I live with my fiancee of 9 years and little girl, Alexandra who is two.I got pregnant with at 22, and I had a coil fitted internally, so my pregnancy was a bit of a surprise. At about 5 weeks pregnant I was rushed to hospital having period like cramping pains, after an examination the doctor removed my coil which was slowly pushing its way out of my body, hence the pain. He told me to go home and rest, but he thought I would probably miscarry over the weekend.Well the weekend came and went and there was no sign of any blood or any pain, on the monday I returned to the hospital where I had blood tests and an ultrasound. The ultrasound did not pick up on anything so I was sent away and asked to return for another scan 2 weeks later. I returned for my scan and laid on the bed, the sonographer put the jelly stuff on my stomach and after a long 5 minutes she turned the screen on the monitor to me and Neil. There it was on the screen a tiny dot, but it was beating. The sonographer explained that the beating was the heartbeat. Our little baby was there and its heart was beating, against all odds it was fighting for life.
Fast forward 9 months ...
I started in slow labour on the wednesday, and had my daughter in the hospital on the Saturday. I was in established labour for 15 hours, and once I was fully dilated t took me 28 minutes to push her out. I had gas and air and pethidine for the pain. When I got to 8 cms dilated I asked for an epidural which was administered but did not have chance to take effect because I had her soon after. After 9 months and a very happy, healthy pregnancy I gave birth to Alexandra on my due date the 4th February 2006 at 7.28am. She weighed 7lbs and 14ozs, and was totally perfect.
I am now pregnant again with my second child, and thought It would be nice to post pictures on here and a diary of my pregnancy over the weeks, I also would like to meet other people who are pregnant or trying to concieve.Baby dust and happiness to you all. I hope that this message finds you healthy and happy - wherever you are in the world! We are emigrating to Australia this year aswel so Im not only busy being pregnant but Im busy selling all our stuff for the big move!
