Labor Prediction Quiz from Justmommies.com:
Just about the time you think you can't handle hearing one more "When
is that baby going to pop?", your baby will decide to make it's
appearance. We predict your baby will be born 3-7 days before its due
date. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning and will weigh approximately 8.8 pounds, with labor lasting about 15 hours.
Dear Justmommies.com predictor thingy:
Boy, oh boy, oh boy. Where do I begin? With the desperate hope that you were right in your 3-7 day early assessment? With the fact that I'm now 6 days overdue? Can't wait to see HOW OFF your prediction at weight and labor time are!

Tuesday, 22 July your blogs are really interesting and I feel like we have a lot of the same ideas...have you read Ina May's Guide to Childbirth? and can you please share where you read your information about the cutting of the umbilical cord and different birthing positions. And...I got one more for ya, when deciding that you were going to hire a doula, how did you chose them and did your insurance cover it (you don't have to answer that last part if it's too personal)? I have lots of questions!!
Keep on keepin on... mumofsix -
Monday, 21 July No, it does dribble out. I wear a panty sheild for that very reason. The higher you get it the better. The other option is to pierce the end of the capsule and try and squeeze it out as high as you can and then rub it around and on the cervix if you can. It's a bit tricky and messy while doing it but I find I get less leakage of the oil. Just make sure your hands are well washed first. jaydensmommi080908 -

Wednesday, 16 July Hi, No baby yet. My sister in law has gone now so just need my parents to get back now and then I feel ready to have him. I'll probably end up going full term this time just because my midwife thinks it could be this weekend. She has no clinical reason for this but going by past record.
My hubby has 2 days off now so we plan on doing a few things as a family, some long walks. parks, we thought about a train ride for the kids as its a bit of an adventure for them but I think its a bit risky for me at this stage.
How you going? any niggles? Sowright -
Wednesday, 16 July Are you having any surges yet? I have had a few spells the last few days. My husband and son were gone, so it made it a little scarey.... Not really painfull.....but a real attention getter, stop you in your tracks.... hippiechic -

Tuesday, 15 July Hi i'm looking for something, i've left a message for my hypnobirthing coach but she's away for the next week on a course so not sure what the likelihood of her coming back to me soon are, but from what I understood the waxy substance babies are covered in at birth contains natural vitamin k and should be allowed to sink into the skin not rubbed off whilst being cleaned. I'll keep looking for something and let you know if I find it. Interesting discussion about vitamin k on here anyway http://www.joyousbirth.info/forums/showthread.php?t=19105 am sure your probably reading round yourself anyway. mumofsix -
