Thursday, 31 July Hi, No still not got round to sorting out the christening date weve asked the priest and he said he will do it and to just let us no when.Everybody seems to be going on holiday so finding it really hard to pick a date when all of our close family will be in the country! He's had a few little choking fits but his nose drops seem to be working. His teeth have calmed down now though. They seem to have stopped. You can see 3 now on the bottom but there not fully out at all.Went to baby club today and were all going to chester zoo next friday! There will be about 7 mums with there little ones and the dads and husbands are going to so Ian's taken the day off. Were going away for a weekend to Brighton to stay with friends of ours.We won't be going though till we have sorted out the new car.Ian still can't choose between the toyota verso and the ford focus s-max.I've only got a little A3.It would be ok if it was 5 doors but it's only 3.Apart from that we don't really have anything else planned. You thought anymore about going on holiday? Jake was real hard work going to bed tonight.I went up with him at 7pm and it took me until 8:30pm to get him to sleep but he's on our bed on top of the quilt and all the cushions and pillows are on the floor.Going to have to try and scoop him up without waking him in a minute and get him in his cot.Does Harvey go in his cot awake and go off to sleep on his own no problems? I really try but it's a lossing battle with him I let him cry thinking he'll drop off but he goes on for over 30 minutes then starts choking as he get's himself over upset. From talking to the mums at club today it seems that the bottle fed babies are better sleepers and not as clingy.Jake has to see me all day otherwise he screams he can't nap unless he's latched on to me he even has a bath with me I eat my tea with him latched on Ian chops my tea up for me like I'm a three year old and I'm there eating it with one hand whilst holding Jake with the other. He can't go to bed unless I feed him lay down on the bed and I have to put my arm around him so he know's I'm still there whilst he's first asleep.I can tell you now If we have anymore it's bottle from the beginning ha! xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Wednesday, 30 July Hi, ahh I love the new pic.He looks so grown up.I think he looks so much like Dave from that picture of Dave and Lloyd sat together. Were has the past four months gone?? It's scary how fast it goes. When I look back at Jake's potos from his first couple of weeks it's like looking at a different baby ha!! Took him to get weighed today and he was 16lb 13oz.At that stage again were the 3-6 are to small but the 6-9 months hang off him and are to long.I sorted out all of his clothes before that don't fit him there is so many.I was going to give some to my brother for his baby thats due October but don't want to part with any of them. Not from being selfish I just find myself not wanting to let go of anything.I even had a little cry when I found his coming home outfit it looked so tiny. It scares me knowing one day like you said about Llyod you've got to let them go in to the big wide world and learn things for themself.Must be my hormones ha!! I know he's only four months but I remember sat here writing to you when we still had ages to go when we were pregnant. Jake can't stand this sticky weather. He's been in just a nappy again today whilst we were home.Even then he had little beads of sweat running down his nose.Unlike Harvey he won't drink water at all so I've been like a camel drinking bottles of the stuff making sure I've got plenty for him to drink ha! Do you still think you might have another baby? We were talking about the other night and Ian said he would like to start trying for a brother or sister for Jake next June / july.I just hope if were lucky to get pregnant again I'm not as sick it was hard enough looking after myself and that would be my worst nightmare going back into hospital from being so sick and having to leave Jake at home with someone else looking after him.Hope Harvey's not to fed up with the heat and your all doing good.Bet it's lovely Having Lloyd off school for six weeks. You going anywere nice over the holidays? xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -

Monday, 28 July Forgot to say about the feeding I've started him on around 5-6 spoons of baby rice in the mornings inbetween his breastfeed. He seems to like it! I've started to put him down for bed at 7pm now then I get him up at 10:30pm when we go up to bed give him another feed and he sleeps through then until 6:30-7:30am.He stays asleep when I get him up but feeds dead well and then goes straight back down no proplem. If I don't do that he ends up waking up around 3am starving! xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Monday, 28 July Hi glad your all ok was getting worried ha! Wanted to change my username did'nt realise you could edit it so deleted my profile and went to open a new one then saw the tab so now having to rebuild it all again! Jakes doing great but hates the weather he's lying down now on the breastfeeding pillow thats on my knee in just a nappy he's so hot.Went to a animal farm with him and my niece today will pop up some pics he had a great time but had to keep going under trees with him as I was so worried he was over hot.Everybody ended up coming round to ours on Saturday so never got to go to manchester.Jake made friends with our friend bens baby who is 7 months they were so cute together.Still not sure about the job I've got till Wednesday to decide before I see her again.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Tuesday, 22 July Hi how was your weekend? Was it your night out with the women from lloyds school ? Jake's jumperoo came put his feet can't reach the floor yet ha! Don't no about you but everything had gone in the next sale within minutes so I did'nt get anything for him! Went online today though and had a browse through the new winter collection and got him some stuff in 6-9 months.I love there clothes they seem to have a little extra room in them and wash really well.I've noticed loads of his stuff has gone bobbly on the back were I rub and pat his back when I'm winding him mostl just his sleepsuits.Ian's mum's invited us round for tea tonight. She's cooking mexican.I just hope it's not to hot otherwise jake won't be to happy. When we went for a mexican once when he was about 4 weeks old I swear you could smell it in my breastmilk and Jake would'nt feed off me.At the mother and baby group last week they had a guest speaker she was from the childrens centre I think. She arranges most of the get together groups and she asked me and another mum that was breastfeeding (only 3 of us there but us to breastfeed) if we would be interested in forming a counciling/ information group on feeding.I was'nt really listening to be honest and she took my details anyway as I'm going on that trip to the lights and water centre. She phoned this morning and asked if I would go round to peoples house that are having trouble feeding and really want to.I don't no what to say.She said I would go with somebody who was experienced to begin with then once I had learned the ropes I could go alone and attend the help classes.Part of me thinks why not but then Ian's not very happy about it.I think it would do me good to get out and meet other mums.He was just saying we agreed that I would'nt work and would stay home with Jake. His mum only works 2 day now as she's 60 and she would love to look after Jake while I went she's always telling me that.Sorry about the long moan.Hows everything with you.Is Harveys eye all cleared up? xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Saturday, 19 July Ps, it's the next summer sale today.I know your like me and love there stuff for the kids.I''ve just been looking at it online now (starts at 8am online) and there's some really nice half prices outfits and rompers etc for the boys.Jake's got some of them now in 3-6 but going to get some 6-9.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Saturday, 19 July Ah good luck finding something to wear.I've been up since 5am this morning ha! Jake had the worse night's sleep he's ever had.Would'nt go to sleep until 10:15pm.He woke up at 1:30am,3am,4:30 and has just woke up about 20 mins ago for another feed and is now fast asleep with Ian.I feel llike crap now with not having any sleep! There's no point me going back to bed because he'll no doubt be awake again in an hour ad then I'll feel even worse dropping off into a deep sleep.I must be his teeth the poor lamb.Hope you have a lovely night out xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Friday, 18 July Hi glad Harvey's better.Took jake for his check up today over his choking. He had a terrible one last night it was the worse one yet after the night we had to get an ambulnace. His little body was shaking it was so scary but thank god Ian was right next to me when it happend as we were just about to get him in the bath. They said weve got to put drops up his nose through the day and keep him elevated in the cot so weve got to get aspecail wedge. They still think it's alot to do with his teeth the consultant said he could see 4 coming through. He's fast asleep at the moment but in the middle of our bed. He's a little monkey he won't sleep in his cot in the day he has to have a feed lying next to me on the bed then I have to remove all the pillows and the quilt and he sleeps right in the middle for a good 2 hours.I no I should battle it out with him in the cot but everytime I try he just won't go to sleep and then ends up not having a nap all day. It's funny he's fine at night he goes straight down in his cot after his feed no problem. His jumperoo not been delivered yet but I went to mothercare world this morning after his appointment with my mum and bought the matching rainforset bouncer and playmat and the swing.I must be mad he's already got each of the above but the I love my bear bouncer the lotty ladybird playmat and the fisher price smart stages swing. My mums going to have all them for her house and we'll have the new one's here.We go round there loads and he always get's boared with not having very many toys there so hopefully now he'll be content. Were just waiting for Ian to get home to build the swing.Jake's back to waking up in the night again around 3am but then goes back down till 6am then has another feed then sleeps till 9am.Last night though he was up 3 times and the little monkey was'nt even hungry he fell asleep everytime in my arms within 5 minutes.Yeah been to Manchester a few times.Been to the trafford centre twice I loved it but Ian's not into shopping so weve not been for ages.Mum's and tot's was good apart from only 2 other mums turned up think it was because of the weather. They said there is normally around 10-15 people there so went on a bad week. They painted his hands and feet and we made pictures for Ian and the grandparents he was really good apart from towards the end of them making the pictures he got fed up from them putting paint on him bless! I never knew how many groups there were until yesterday I only new about 3 that they had given me the first time I met the health visitor.I've got him down for the massage like you go to that starts in 2 weeks and were going to a one of speacial sensory lights and sound workshop with all those fibre optic and water lights etc.You get 45 minutes and it's free. The doctor told me today I'm not to take him to baby swim club because of his choking.Hope you don't get to upset at Lloyd's leaving assembly.xx

Wednesday, 16 July Hi how was did Harveys appointment go? The poor little man! I've joined baby splash class were which is once a week for 8 weeks but dose'nt start until september.I'm going to my first mother and baby club tomorrow it's one for first time parents I'm just so worried that Jake's going to kick off screaming I no what he's like at the moment he's only content if he's latched on to me or I'm walking round with him or if he's just got one of his teethers out of the freezer! I ordered him a fisher price rainforest jumperoo from Mothercare today. It says from 4months when baby can hold his/her head but Harvey and Jake have been doing that for ages ha! We don't have hardly any other groups round here apart from them two I've now joined. There's alot for when he's 6 months and over like music ones and walking but not alot for now.He weighed 15lb 10oz today but on 6oz in the past week.Ian took the day off today so I could have a rest but only just sat down now ended up doing big tesco shop,Ironing dog walking etc.So putting my feet up now with half a glass of wine (wish I could have more but that's the joys of breastfeeding ha! Was ment to be going out for a meal togehter on Friday night but Ian's mum has cancelled babysitting forgot they ahd a 70's night so hopefully will get out sometime next week. Were going to Manchester next weekend to meet up with some old uni freinds of Ian! So will be up in your neck of the woods! Two of them live in Cheadle another two in Manchester and the others are getting the train up from London way so Manchester seemed like a good central place to get together for lunch. One of the couples that were meeting have got a 5 month old so should be fun then there will be a few toddlers to.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Tuesday, 15 July Hi how was mother and baby group? Poor Harvey did you take him to the doctors? Jakes been hard work today.I went out to mothercare and bought some soft books as he loves the one's he's got.Once again spent the day walking around with him so not got a thing done cleaning wise ha! xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Monday, 14 July Hi how was dave's ferrari ride? Jake's had a few little choking episodes over the past two days.He scared me today he did it whilst I was driving. Were taking him back to get his throat looked at in more detail. They think it might just be because his teeth have started to come through at such a young age he's producing more saliva and when he's sleepy he dose'nt dribble it out of his mouth and it ends up going down the wrong way making him choke.I no all babies dribble and blow bubbles but Jake just seems to be none stop and it soaks the whole front of his top he goes through at least 3 a day and his cot sheet will be soaking when I get him up from dribble.I just hope he grows out of it quick as it's so scary having to keep tipping him up and slapping his back whilst he gasp's. Yeah had a good weekend when my brother came down. His partner's 27 weeks pregnant and was moaning of aches and pains and going to the loo all the time.Brought back alot of memories ha! Don't miss all that. They could see a huge change in him. It's funny as he looks like me if you look at me now yet he looks the doulbe of Ian when he was he Jake's age and not a thing like me when I was little. I'll have to get a pic off Ian's Mum and scan it so you can see.Hows Harvey doing? Poor Jake's seems so boared I don't no what to do with him to keep him happy and content in the day.We go for walks and play with his toys and have cuddle time and I've just put his name down for baby swimming but he seems so unsettled and nothing seems to keep him occupied. He's started this thing now were he screams unless you walk round with him then he's fine.I'm thinking of getting a back carrier at least then I could do the washing up and ironing without him kicking off ha! Hope your all ok.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Thursday, 10 July Oh my gosh I laughed so much at there pictures the pose is the same ha! I think I might get one of them little screens like you say for peace of mind.He had a coughing fit this morning at 6am I have never got out of bed as fast in ym life but he was fine. Were off to Ian's mum and Dad's tonight it's his Dad's birthday.Jake's just gone to sleep to so won't be very happy at getting his going out stuff on and being put in the car! xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Wednesday, 9 July He's fine today no problems touch wood! They said when it normally happens the baby can cough it up and is fine but for some reason Jake did'nt seem to be able to.The ambulance was here within 5 minutes. But it felt like forever waiting but they were fantastic! I'm just so lucky that the second one did'nt happen after I had put him in his cot I would'nt of known.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Wednesday, 9 July Hi oh my god last night was the worst night of my life.I was giving Jake his bedtime feed sat in the nursing chair in our room like I always do and he'd been on for about 20 minutes. All of a sudden he could'nt get his breath so Ian came running in and we lay him face down and slapped his back and then after a few seconds he made this awful noise and started to get his breath back.He had a could cough and seemed fine. Then just as I was about to put him to bed he started making a choking sound again this time he could'nt seem to breath and no matter how much we held him over Ian's arm and slapped his back nothing happend.I was screaming and sobbing hysterically. He was just looking at me with his eyes wide open and just could'nt breath and was going blue.I phoned an ambulance straight away and the women was telling me what to do after a few minutes he started making that really strange noise he'd done before then loads of fluid started coming. The paramedics gave him oxygen staight away and and I went with him in the ambulance and Ian jumped in his car. They rushed him there and his oxygen levels were going back to normal. They said when he had swallowed it had gone down his windpipe but because he's so young and the to pipes are so close together and small they had closed over.Thank god he's home safe and sound.I'm in bit's every cough he does I'm worrying it's going to happen again.Ah glad Harver's feedings back to normal. They weigh the same! Got his pram from babies r us.Think I will take it back.I've not got Jake any new toys in the past 2 weeks apart from a kick and play piano and loads of teething rings. He sounds just like Harvey everything goes in his mouth.I worry now if I put him in dungarees that have buttons near the top as he sucks on them and I'm scared incase they came off.He seems fed up to with all his toys he still likes his ring though as I've added loads more hook on toys to it.I can't think what else to get him that he might find fun!xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Tuesday, 8 July Hi, oh poor Harvey. It's horrible when there poorly and you can't do anything for them,Hope he's feeling much better now.Well took Jake for his injections ,he was asleep when we went in but the minute he had the first one he woke up then with the second one the health visitor said the meningitis c one will sting and boy did he cry he was sobbing for ages but I held it together. His poor little leg was bleeding loads though don't no what went wrong there it went all over his nice new dungarees.I only got them from next yesterday and it won't flipping come out.You don't no what's good for getting blood out do you? Found out though why he's been screaming all day and he's been up twice every night this week. His two front teeth are coming through.I can't believe it he's only 3 months I thought you coulod see them slighty but thought I must have been wrong but no health visitor said they are really coming through.Yeah love pushing his new pram it's great but I'm finding it hard getting the safety latch on when it's folded it so tight I can hardly pull it out and hook it on.Did you have that problem? Don't no if it's just because it's new even Ian could'nt get it on though.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Monday, 7 July Hi hows everybody? Jake's Quinny came this morning so I put it together and thought I'd take it out for a test drive ha! He loved it.He sleept all the way into to town which was about a 45 minute walk then when he woke up that was the real test would he start screaming but no I tilted the seat up and he was happy looking round and could see me so kept smiling. Then sadly it started raining so headed home and he fell back asleep and is fast asleep still in it.I'm made up with it I'm so glad I bought it.Got the second lot of injections tomorrow. Not looking forward to it as he's been off for the past few days as it is.He's been screaming for hours through the day and I feel so bad on next door as there both nurses and work night shifts at the A&E so must be calling me all the name's under the sun at the moment.Hoping the fussing will stop as he is really hard work at the moment just nothing seems to make him stop crying.Hope your all well .xx

Saturday, 5 July Hiya,I got it in black! I was going to get the blue one but then thought if we were to have a girl next time black would be the better option.I only got the footmuff I thought there was no point buying the carrycot as he won't go in the jane one and I've got the jane car seat that goes on the pram frame like yours.I'm just hoping he's happy with this one and the problem was him not beinning able to see everything that's going on and me at the same time if not I've just wasted £365 ha!! My brother and sister in law are coming to stay the weekend with us there the ones that live in Manchester. They've not seen Jake for 5 weeks so I'm guessing there going to notice a big change in him.Hope you have a good weekend bet your over the moon Lloyd's back
xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Friday, 4 July Hi how was Harveys injections? I've just ordered a quinny buzz the same as yours! I must be mad as that Jane one with the carrycot, changing bag and two raincovers came to £660.He won't go in the carrycot even though the backrest of it comes slighty up so he can sit up because he can't see everything that's going on so he screams.I put the pushchair part of it on the other day but it will only face outwards and he got so upset with not being able to see me I ended up carrying him and pushing the pram! So I noticed the buzz can face you so I've just ordered one now! Why I did'nt just get that in the beginning I don't no ha! I'm the same as you not done any exercise apart from walking.I really need to get my backside in gear and join a gym or even just put aside half an hour a day to do some sit ups or something.Hope you have a great weekend.( sorry about the rant about the pram!) xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Thursday, 3 July Hi lovely to hear from you.The new pics you've put up are great. You look really good! Were all doing great Jake's in bed fast asleep. He's still sleeping through thank goodness it was a long time coming ha! He can't hack the mornings though he's getting up at 7am then having his feed then goes back to bed till 10am.Then he'll stay awake the rest of the day he's cut out that afternoon sleep now with going back to bed in the morning.I think I'm going to start getting him in bed around 8pm now as by 7 he is so tired.I went to tesco yesterday and Ian sat in the car with Jake the women at the till asked me when I was due! So that is it the diet is offically on ha! Got one of my canvas pics the other day from next it's really good so Ian put it up in the lounge stil waiting on the other one that I got but that's in sepia style in a beech frame.Hating this weather it's ment to be July for crying out loud! I need the sun to stay out and the rain to hold off so I can get walking with jake and burn off this big belly bump!! 3 months tomorrow how fast has that gone? Mad to think this time then I was in full labour! It seems like yesterday.I'm loving this stage though they are so much fun.The laughing and rolling and play time is great.Has Harvey become a dribbble chops? Jake has learnt how to blow bubbles and dribbles all day long I'm forever changing his tops and everything goes in his mouth now blankets and clothes included. He put's his fingers and fist in his mouth that much he keeps making himself sick! Hope your all ok and Dave has a great birthday tomorrow.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Sunday, 29 June Hi glad everones well.Well done to Lloyd!! Jake's injections are a week on Tuesday. He's doing well with the sleeping still he had a bad night to days ago was up twice through the night but apart from that he's doing the same a s Harvey now.Me and Ian went for a meal last night and my mum looked after him I left her two bottles that I had pumped and he would'nt have either of them and screamed the whole time we were out and would'nt go to bed.We were only out from 7pm and were home at 10:30pm I felt so bad on both of them.Jake was so tired and the second I lay him down on our bed he latched on had his feed then went straight to sleep.I really don't want to leave him now as he has got so in to his bedtime routine of having a bath with me then snuggles up on our bed has his feed then I have to stroke his head for 5 mins then he goes in his cot no problem and after about 5 mins falls asleep. It's hard for me to try and get a bottle down him so anybody else has got no chance.I don't no if he'll grow out of it but at the moment he won't even let anybody else hold him if I'm in the room he just looks over at me and screams it's not even a winge it's a really loud proper upset scream then the minute they pass him over he stops.I've not booked a date yet for the christening my parents are going away for 3 weeks in a 2 weeks so it will most likely be the week after they get back.Hope you've had a good weekend.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Wednesday, 25 June Hi just took Jake to get weighed he's just over what Harvey was the other week he's 14lb 9oz.He was up at 3am this morning but he brought back his feed at 9pm so he was starving bless him but he had a good feed then went back to sleep till 7am.So I'm hoping that he can do a full night like the other 3 tonight.I'm having problems with my left breast now the milk seems to have gone down so much he can get one feed from it then it's empty all day.I look so funny I've got this huge melon on one side then the other one looks like a ball that someones let down ha! So I'm going to try pumping it again whilst he's asleep and maybe I can get it going again. My weight is the same I must have lost a little bit as I can get in my size 14 maternity jeans.I can't believe I'm still wearing them but there's no getting in my normal sizes 12 at the moment.2 weeks ago I was still in my size 16 maternity jeans so I'm slowly getting there (very slow ha!). I don't want to cut my food down though with breastfeeding. So much for it making you shed the pounds Jake's latched on me every couple of hours through the day I should be like a bean poll ha! When i went to boots the other day they had the baby photographer there but Jake was asleep so just left it but would love to get them done like your doing.Well I've got approx 2 hours to run around and clean up before Jake wakes up for his next fill of milk like yourself this morning if got a pile of ironing with my name on it it's amazing how much washing one little person can make ha!xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Monday, 23 June Hi how was your weekend? Well Jake has cracked it fingers crossed he has sleept through the last 3 nights from 9pm until 7am.I never thought it was going to happen ha!! It was so out of the blue as thursday night he was up 3 times he goes from one extreme to the other.I'm going to start planning his christening in the next week. Was thinking of having the do afterwards just back at home so fingers crossed the day I choose it's good weather then everyone can go out in the garden. We ordered 2 big canvas paintings of him yesterday from next art.I don't no what they'll turn out like but I'm hoping there going to be great then I can put them up on the living room. Hope your all well.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Friday, 20 June I'm sure Harvey will be fine if you go away.Jake needs to take a leaf out of Harvey's book.He went to sleep at 9pm woke up at 12am then again at 2:30am then 5:30am and he awake now lying in his cot chatting away and sucking on his fist.I tell you he does not need sleep put poor mummy does ha!! I'm looking forward to Ian getting home then I'm back of to bed early.Have a great weekend to enjoy the football.xx Jakes..Mummy..xx -
Thursday, 19 June oh my gosh I think Harvey has changed loads to!! He is gorgeous.Love the picture of him with the cake ha! I just walked to the post office by us it's only a 10 min walk and pushed Jake in his pram he screamed the whole way there He was feed winded and had a clean bum so god know's what was wrong with him..When I got there I could only get the pram through the door and had to leave it there so I carried him and waited in the line.He was having such a paddy he kicked both his boots off and 1 sock and his little jeans were round his ankles everybody was looking at me like I was an awful mum and not one of them helped me bend down to retrieve his clothes off the floor. Then on the walk back he was fine looking around at everything and is now sound asleep!! I'm dreading what his terrible two's are going to be like ha! He's so strong now at 11 weeks! xx
