I don't have my next appointment until November 30th! It is driving me crazy waiting that long to make sure everything is still ok. The first appointment we got to do an ultrasound and saw the baby. It's heartrate was 182. Maybe it's an athlete like dad! haha!Monday, 12 Nov
I had to go through my closet today and put away a lot of pants that don't fit anywmore. Thank goodness maternity looking tops and dresses are in right now. haha! Also, I can NOT stop eating grapes. What is up with that?Friday, 30 Nov
Just had my second doctor's appointment this morning. She didn't really do anything except listen to the heartbeat on doppler. Glad she could find it! It was 155. I was starting to think nothing was in there anymore! They weighed me and I have only gained 1/2 a pound since my last visit a month ago. She didn't seem concerned about that. I guess I'll make up for it later. If anything, I'm glad to have not gained too much up front. As of now I've only gained 4 1/2 lbs since I've been pregnant. She says I am 13 weeks, even though this site says I am 12. I guess that is based on my last missed period, even though I know I ovulated on day 20, not 14. So I am guessing the baby is physically more like 12 weeks.Anyway, good luck to all the mommies out there!

I wish I could post pics of my belly. There is hardly anything there! I can feel it is bigger, but it doesn't look like other people's in my week. Dr says that's ok, but geez! Come ON tummy! And I can't feel the baby yet either - boo hoo! I'm starting to think I'm not pregnant, just getting fat - ha!Friday, 21 Dec
Had my 3rd Dr `s appt today. Got blood taken for the quad scan and listened to the heartbeat. Still around 150. My uterus has moved up and I `ve gained 2 lbs - finally! So now I `m up to a 6 lb total gain so far. Hooray! get blood results after Christmas.Friday, 4 Jan
My quad scan came back normal - yay! Travis and I spent the holidays packing and then got a puppy on the 27th, and moved the 28th!! It `s nice to be back in our old house. It took 8 months to renovate it. There is still some work to be done though. Thank God the painting was done a while ago. I did NOT want to move in with those fumes!!!Thursday, 24 Jan

So I found out that the hip pain was partially being caused by the fact that one leg is 1/2 inch shorter than the other due to an old injury. I visited a chiropractor that my OB/Gyn suggested and after 3 visits I was better - yay!! But then I wore 3 inch boots last night and may have screwed up my hip again. Damn! I am 5 `3 and hate wearing flats, but I guess I may have to stick with them until June. Oh well.Saturday, 16 Feb
Well, I hadn `t weighed myself in a while because our scale broke. But we got a new one and it says I have gained 18 lbs!! So I guess it finally caught up with me. It `s strange to be this big. I `m 136 and only halfway through. I can `t imagine getting bigger! I `m only 5/3 and have been pretty small most of my life. Just have to keep telling myself it `s all worth it.I can feel him moving all the time now. It `s like he `s doing Tae Bo in there!!Saturday, 1 Mar

I went for my regular Dr appt the other day and they said I gained about 7 lbs since the last visit 4 weeks ago. I am positive their scale is whacked. Theirs said I was 149 and mine at home says I am 141. Geez. I can not be that big already....Comments on Gypsymama`s Profile

thx so much for your reply!!! Wow i'm glad to finally know someone who was in the same sitiuation that can give me some kind of needed and helpful advice. i have come to the relization that a c-section may be needed...and anything for my child i will do BUT i am still hoping an induction will be mentioned before it has to get to that point. thanks so much for your advice and sharing your similar experience....Congrats on your lil man and i hope u get up and moving soon!! Keep me updated.

Is she extremely overbearing too, like the other day I posted a bulletin on myspace about my contractions cuz they were terrible and I didn't know if I was gonna have to go into the hosital - so until I knew something for sure I was going to take a nap. I said "I am going to try to sleep - DO NOT CALL ME!!!! well guess who calls me right after they read the bulletin and I get into the bed, my mom- like this applies to everyone else except her. Gees I have never had a kid that she didn't know about, she always knew when I was having the babies. I just can't stand this...

My hospital wouldnt even allow children under 13 in the hospital room unless they were siblings, but def talk to ur bro about ur concerns they r very valid. Im sure they are resposible ppl and would understand. Congrats & Take care ;)

OH That's soooo funny!! Perhaps a large container could double as a baby carrier or I could suggest I use a pastry brush to apply nappy rash cream!!! Oh I'm gunna have some fun thinking up funny mis-uses of tupperware!! Maybe I could make that a party game!! Woo Hoo I just found the silver lining of this crap party!! THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!! It's good to hear my feelings about the tupperware disaster shower are not the result of my pregnancy hormones! It's actually sooo bad and such a terrible idea that it is actually making me laugh now! Oh and get the punch line... apparently they don't buy baby gifts, instead they will give the tupperware lady money and then I'll be able to buy tupperware with it!! OH PLEASE!! The last thing I need right now!! It's a total joke!!

I read your comment about not wanting your niece and nephew around your baby especially at the hospital and how to tell them politely. My husband and I had a similar problem. My husbands sister is getting married 1 month after the birth and his family is coming down for the wedding and there are certain people I dont want holding our baby. I've seen how they handle other babies and they pass them back and forth and I didnt like that. So what my husband and I came up with is to just politely tell them that we made the decision to not allow anyone to hold him due to him being so young. In your case I would just let your inlaws know that you would rather not have kids at the hospital. That you just want adults to visit. Just know that ITS YOUR BABY AND YOU MAKE THE DECISIONS...

I'm not having b/h contractions either...i experienced them once right after sex, so i'm pretty sure i know what they are. but that was a couple of weeks ago and i haven't had any more. i'm not worried about it, i just kind of wish i could have some, it was kind of neat when it did happen. no worries, i'm in the same boat!
