I guess t's time to update my profile! On 5/28/2008, a mere 2 hours and 39 minutes after our 2nd wedding anniversary. Dillon Alexander Dugan was born! It's true what they say about the pain and experience...it does seem to fade away as soon as your child is born! (Check out the birth story! OUCH!) Our life since having Dillon has been full of new and exciting things! The amazing feeling you have when your child makes a new facial expression, or when he poops after being constipated for 3 days, or the first time he turns his head toward you because he recognizes your voice! But nothing can compare to that first second when your first child arrives into this world and your heart opens up this whole new place that you never knew existed! When I found Dan, my husband and love of my life, I didn't think I could love anyone or anything more than I love him. And then, in a second, this amazing amount of love fills you up and you realize that every piece of your heart is full! I look at my life everyday and am amazed that it is MY life. I am so amazingly fortunate and unbelievably in awe of how my little man has changed my life in such a short amount of time! I'm so much more than I was before...so much more than I thought I ever would be...because I have 2 amazing men in my life that love me and that I love with all that I am...my Husband Dan and our miracle Dillon!

1/14/08 UPDATE!!!
IT'S A BOY!!! It has been such an amazing day! We had the chance to see our healthy little boy! Dan threw up his hands like he had just won the baby lottery when she said BOY! I can't believe how blessed we are! I will never forget this day!

No, maybe it's a knife under there! HAA! Well, yes-it's there, but we won't be at Bragg, we will be at a University in NC or PA (not sure yet!). Been feeling pretty good this week. I scheduled my u/s but it's not until Feb 6th. OK--I haven't asked anyone this...but do you have pref on what you're having?? I know that happy and healthy is #1, but do you still hope for a particular?

Hey! I didn't have a reaction to the flu shot, but I have had some MAJOR stretching pains. To the point that I ended up in the ER and my OB prescribed percocet. I certainly understand how miserable the pain can make you! I am sorry to hear your are sick on top of that. Feel better soon.

WOW--look at the belly button on that twirly-girl!! :) We have animals too (lots!) and I wonder how they will do. Will just have to wait and see...and keep an eye on them! We are probably going to move to NC, depends on where my hubby wants to go to school to get his PhD. We're excited! A lot of change this year, but for the better! :) Take care and keep in touch. When do you find out what you're having??!

Yes, I hope to find out. My next dr. appt is on 1/15, but I am not sure if my u/s will be that day, or scheduled from there, or what. Hopefully we will know by the end of the month! My belly doesn't look as rounded as everyone elses...and I feel like you can't tell I'm pg. That's ok, though...for now! I am getting my bach degree in Management. I will be done (completely) a month after babe is due--HA! Living in LA for 2 yrs now and moving a month and 1/2 after babe (husband in military). I am originally from CA. What about you? And where r u?

I only gained 12 pounds with my last pregnancy. I was sick a lot. The low weight gain was not a problem. She was fine and weighed 7'9', even being a little early.

Regarding your post, I have only gained about 6lbs. None over the holidays. I gained the 4-7 (fluctuating) during the first month or so and have maintained. I am very weight conscious but was told that as long as baby is growing at steady rate, all should be good. Do you have a belly yet? Mine is just that I look chubbier and more bloated than normal.

Hey, I think you find out boy or girl one day before me! We will go on January 15th. I can't wait. I have been so excited for this baby, but once I know if it is a he or a she I think it will feel like I have a real person inside! Good luck!

oh trust me, i have the preggo pants! ive been wearing them for a while just because my waist got big and it felt like a had a roll of fat that would hang over my jeans when i sat down!! haha how gross!? yea one of these days ill probaly be wishing i had my old stomach back! thanks for the kind words! i really needed it on a day like today! :) have a good christmas!

HI!! I'm in London now teaching but will be flying back home to Australia hopefully some time in February so have resigned from my job here. Not sure if I will find teaching work when I get home or not. Might just become a lady of leisure for a few months before bubs is born!!! We don't really have a preference for a boy or girl yet really. This is our first baby but Wayne's family already has a granddaughter and my family already has two grandsons so I think that it's more the Grandmothers that have the peference!! HAHA!! Oddly my sister and all of our friends that have babies all have had boys so I guess that it would be exciting to have the first little girl but having said that I've always wanted to have a boy as well!! My next doctors appointment is on the 3rd Jan. just for some tests and a check up. The next ultrasound is on the 19th Feb. Our ultrasound technician said that is we do want to find out the babies sex that it would be more acurate the later we left the next scan. I think I'll be 23weeks by then!! I have a little bump now but I can't wait to have a proper preggy belly!! Most of all I can't wait to feel the baby moving around!!

Hi, Yes i do not think it is serious, because i have not felt any pain and it was not gushing or red blood. It was a few drops on my underwear. It will still make me feel a lot better to know to have the ultrasound scan tomorrow to know that everything is going fine with the pregnancy. I will post a message tomorrow to let everyone know how things are going. Thanks for your message on my board. :)

Hi!! I think I'm looking pregnant... It's weird cause I've actually lost weight but gone up two sizes in pants!! I took the scan pictures into work today and was showing them off like a real proud parent!! I even showed the kids in my class!! I'm a primary school teacher. My the children are only 7 ot 8 years old so I wasn't going to show them but because most of them have preggy mummies or new babies they ask a lot of questions and very excited about the baby.
I think we will find out the baby's sex. I think it will just add to the excitment. Plus I can't wait to buy cute boy or girl things, I'm not fussed with any of the neutral clothes!!
How are you going with all the 'joys' so far??? I think my morning sickness is getting better. It was really bad to start and now while I'm still throwing up in the morning but after that I'm fine for the rest of the day!! I have a few weird aches and pains every now and then but not too bad!! Oh and sleeping is just the worst at the moment!! Oh the joys!!!

HI!! I took charge today thanks to your helpful advice!! Went I went in to the clinic they tried to tell me that I had missed an appointment for an ultrasound two weeks ago!! I almost cried!! I had phoned them three times in the last month asking about appointments and today was the first and only date I was ever given!! The lady at reception said that I could only see the midwife today and it wasn't until I was in with her and she was trying to book me an appointment for the 31st that I then got the nerve to pipe up and said that I wasn't leaving until I had one today!!! She went off and sure enough 5mins later I had an ultrasound!!! It was so amazing seeing that little one jumping around!! I was just over the moon happy. My partner teared up a bit I think and then now that I've shown the pics to my Dad he's even started with the tears!!! So thanks again heaps for the advice to 'take charge' it's my new motto!!

Thanks for the message! Yeh i agree the first trimester was horrid! But seeing my first ultrasound made it alllll worth it.Yeh im lucky no one has really started with the advice yet...Im kinda head strong so maybe they know not to tell me what to do? Hehehe.. although i kinda do need the advice.. i dont have a clue about babies! AAGGGHHH! Im the kind that are too scared to even hold babies incase i dont hold it correctly or something! Help!! Hehehe

Yes it does seem that we should be further along, probably because we have been counting the days.

My belly is starting to show too. So far i have been wearing loose, comfortable clothes, but i am looking forward to when people start to comment on me being pregnant. Take care. :)

Hi, so far me and my baby girl are doing wonderfully! Hubby and I am so excited that we will be parents soon.

I hope that this thing with the messages is not a constant thing. I love the messages that i have been getting from the people on this site, and i do not want them deleted. At least i have everyone saved in my friends list now.

How are you feeling? Our due dates are the same day. I am doing pretty good, except i have noticed back aches later in the day or if i am under stress. Take care. :)

What was your blood test for? I had some genetic blood testing done at 12 weeks and will again at 16 weeks and THEN we'll get the results! Good luck.
