Saturday, 16 August Does your baby gaining wt normally? I had simular problem, baby wanted to breastfeed all the time, even though he was gaining wt great. I started givng him a little of formula, like 2oz after breastfeeding and he would just go limp and sleep for 2-3 hrs after. To be honest, I liked it too much and now he is 6 weeks and on formula 5 feedings and I pump twice a day and it is enough for 2 more. It works great for me, I am not a walking zomby anymore. christelle -
Saturday, 16 August Your son is probably not only eating, he's possibly using you as a pacifier too. My son does that and it was really bad around six weeks when I hear they go through a growth spurt anyways. the more he sucks, the better for you breasts to produce alot of milk though. If it doesn't hurt anymore, I just put up with it and am kind of glad that something so simple calms my son- and that you can't overfeed a breastfed baby (what do formula using parents do to calm their babies/??) I used to worry too, but I hear its pretty normal for them to want to be held and suckle all the time. My son still is pretty "sucky" in the evenings so we just sit and watch tv while de suckles away and he will be eight weeks on Tuesday. prettyinpink -
Thursday, 7 August My c section was on 30th june and im still bleeding! I have had days where theres not much and i think its stopping but then the next day its back to normal. Tuesday, 5 August Now don't you know that once you have a baby you should just stay home and never, ever leave?? LOL I drive all the time with Edyn in the back. She cries sometimes but usually is fine. IF I have my husband or someone with me I ride in the back just to comfort her. It's not like you can stay cooped up. Your MIL should volunteer to watch the baby so you can get out if she has such issues with it all. That is, IF you want her to keep the baby. LOL apilalas -
Sunday, 3 August my daughter is only 9wks old and still only sleeps for 1-3hrs at a time..it just depends on the baby...and she also JUST recently started eating every 2hrs if im lucky, when shes awake she wanted to eat every 45mins to an hr...just take it 1 day at a time, good luck angelw -
Sunday, 13 July I have had three c-sections. My first one was not a very good experience, but my doctor was a real quack...... Anything she could do wrong I think she did. I got a bad infection in my inscision (was on vicodin for the pain & couldnt even carry around my own baby) and she put me on anitbiotics and then my stomach got worse and I itched all over and she said she didnt know why. Well my next doctor found out why.. I was allergic to the penicillin she gave me. Any way she really screwed up, but my next two c-sections were wonderful. My second one I didnt even really need pain medicine at all after wards. And With my last one I was in and out of the hospital in 24 hours. I was soooo happy they let me go home. Walking, rolling from side to side, and coughing does hurt some but they can give you pain medicine if it hurts you to much. I had tylenol three after my last c-section for the first couple of hours but by the next day I didnt need anything. As long as you have a good doctor then your c-section should be a wonderful experience just like anyone else having a vaginal birth. I dont feel like I missed out on anything & actually two people I know that have had both vaginal and c-section said they would both do c-sections again before vaginal anyday. My cousin had a c-section with her twins (her fourth pregnancy) and said she wished she could have had the first three that way and with her fifth one she also had a c-section. You get to keep your modisty a little bit to lol. That was a plus not have to sit there with all your business for the world to see. When my friend had her baby two years ago she had just givin birth & they were waiting for the placenta & a new nurse walking in the room & my friend said Hi I'm Erin this is my who ha..... lol..... So I guess its just a matter of opionion, but I am due anytime now and the c-section is the only thing I am not worried about... I hope this helped and didnt make you worry more. Congratulations on your little boy!!!!! Mum2-3 -
Sunday, 6 July Hi, the mucous plug is usually a thick slug of mucous and it doesnt have to have blood in it. Some people never see their mucous plug either though. If you are getting regular mucous or vaginal discharge over a length of time it is unlikely to be your mucous plug. Hope this is helpful. Good luck! MommyWonder -
Sunday, 6 July I've been wondering about that type of discharge too. Mine is snotty looking. I had a clump come out in week 35, but my doctors aren't even checking me out until a week from Tuesday (week 38). It's so frustrating. ragskusa24 -
Sunday, 6 July I have been having the same white weird discharge, and when I saw my doctor Thursday he said it wasn't the mucus plug. He said that you'll know when its the mucus plug!! Hope this helps. mialuvsummer -

Monday, 30 June Hey, my baby is in "tranverse" position right now (laying accross my belly), I'm scheduled an EVC tomorrow (to move her). I'm hoping she'll move easily and stay that way.
The Dr. did schedule me a c-section for the 14th as well though "just in case" she is still not in place by then, however I'm not too happy about that. I really don't want a c-section. JennSever -
Thursday, 26 June the stabbing pains in the cervix should be the babies hands..could be the feet, but that would mean a breech baby. your baby should have dropped really low and what you are feeling are the hands traveling overhead... tschmitz -

Saturday, 14 June I understand 100%, don't worry. It is extremely difficult to start a new life with your boyfriend or husband when you're expecting a baby, and with a mother in law in the way it can cause huge relationship dilemmas! My mom is from Guatemala and she met my dad there when he was on vacation with my grandma. Him and my grandma ended up living there and my parents got married and conceived me. All three moved to California when my mom was about 5 months pregnant with me and they lived in an apartment with my grandma. Not only was my mom dealing with a new husband, my dad AND being pregnant, she was also still learning English and had a language barrier. My grandmother made her life hell and my dad basically had to chose who to continue to live with. My dad made the decision to tell my grandma that she needed to find her own place because he needed to start his life with his wife and child. My mom still says it was the day he really grew up and became a man when he told his mother that. Although your financial issues can cause a problem with this, I wish you all the luck and I hope that for the sake of your relationship as well as your child things work themselves out. You need time to know one another when a child comes (I can only imagine) and sometimes having another person there to stir the pot can be a huge disadvantage. I wish you much luck!
