MAY 23,2007- WE FOUND OUT I WAS GOING TO HAVE A BABY. I TOOK A HOME PREG. TEST, CAUSE I WAS 5 DAYS LATE ON STARTIN MY MONTHLY.

JUNE 28,2007- WAS MY FIRST OB APT. WE WAS SO HAPPY. BUT THEN WE WERE ALSO UPSET BECAUSE WE DIDN'T GET TO GET A ULTRASOUND OR ANYTHING. HE JUST GAVE ME A PAP. WE AERE LOOKING FORWARD TO AT LEAST HEARING THE HEART BEAT. IT SEEMED LIKE WITH OUR DAUGHTER WE HEARD IT REAL EARLY.. DOC SAID NEXT VISIT WE WOULD.

JULY 14,2007- I THOUGHT I FELT THE BABY MOVE. I'M NOT SURE. MIKE FELT SOMETHING TOO.I'M PRETTY SURE THATS WHAT WE FELT.

JULY 25,2007-I AM 13WKS WE HAD A ULTRASOND WE SEEN THE BABIES HEAD, HANDS, FINGERS,AND BOY LET ME TELL YA, IT WAS MOVING ALOT,THE DOC, COULDN'T HARDLY GET THE HEART BEAT. IT WAS SO COOL TO SEE IT MOVING. IT WAS SUCKING IT THUMB. AND YOU COULD REALLY SEE IT EXPANDING IT ARMS OUT AND MOVING ITS HEAD. WHAT WAS REALLY COOL IS AS WE WATCHED IT MOVE ON THE SCREEN I TOLD MIKE THAT I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I HAD FELT IT MOVE ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE. I HAD THE SAME FEELING. THE HEART BEAT WAS 168. IT WAS AMAZING.

AUGUST 16,2007- I WENT TO THE DOC. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. OUR DAUGHTER HEARD THE BABIES HEARTBEAT FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT WAS 154. IT TOOK AWHILE TO FIND IT. WE COULD HEAR THE BABY MOVING AROUND WHICH SOUNDED REALLY COOL. BUT IT WAS HARD TO CATCH THE HEART BEAT. BUT THEN IT LAYED STILL FOR AWHILE FOR THE NURSE TO GET IT. I HAD MY BLOOD TAKEN FOR TESTS. DOWN SYNDROM AND SPIN BIF. BIRTH DEFECTS. THEY WILL CALL US IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS IF THERE IS A PROBLEM. WE PRAY FOR THE BEST AND HAVE HIGH HOPES BUT WE ARE ALSO READY FOR ANY OBSTICALS THAT MAY COME OUR WAY. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSS.

OCT.15,2007- WE HAD OUR ULTRASOUND TODAY! IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! THATS WHAT WE WANTED. WE ARE HAPPY! BRE IS THRILLED. SHE ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN I WAS HAVING THE ULTRASOUND DONE SHE SPOTTED HER. IT WAS UNREAL. WE GOT SOME REALLY GOOD PIC.S CAN'T WAIT TO GET THEM ON HERE. SHE WEIGHTS 1LB AND 15OZ. CAN'T WAIT TIL SHE GETS HERE.

NOV.12,2007- I had my gluclose test today and it came back high, so i go back monday{in a week} to have a 3 hour test done. yuck!! I really don't like having this test done. the stuff i had to drink was terrible! it made it worse that i had to drink it on a empty stomack. the count was 164 and it's limit is 130 something. so it's not bad. but i'm worried now. but i understand way i feel so bad sometimes. after drinking that stuff i thought i was going to pass out, and it's cause it made my blood sugar go up. man i've never expierced anything like this i really feel sorry for people who has diabetes all the time. i still have hope though everything will be okay though.

NOV.19,2007-I HAD MY 3HR TEST DONE TODAY. AND MAN IT WAS NO WHERE NEAR AS BAD AS THE ONE HR. I MEAN YEAH THEY STUCK ME 4 TIMES,BUT AFTER DRINKING THAT STUFF I DIDN'T GET SLEEPY. THANK GOD I WON'T KNOW ANYTHING UNTIL MY NEXT DOC. VISIT WHICH IS MONDAY. I GO TO THE DOC. EVERY TWO WKS NOW, YEAH! I HOPE TO FIND OUT GOOD NEWS.

nov.26,2007- I HAD A DOC. APPT. TODAY. FOUND OUT THAT SHE HAS DROPPED ALITTLE BIT. AND MY TEST RESULTS CAME BACK POS. WHICH MEANS I HAVE GEST. DIBETES. VERY DEPRESSING. I GO TOM. TO THE DIABETIC CLASS. AND I HAVE TO TAKE A 24HR URINE SAMPLE AND MY CHECK MY BLOOD ALL THIS WEEK AFTER I EAT. I GO BACK TO THE DOC. WITH ALL THAT NEXT MONDAY. WE HAD A ULRASOUND TODAY. THE BABY HAS SLOWED DOWN ON MOVING AND FINDING OUT THAT I DID HAVE GEST. DIA. MY DOC. WANTED TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE SHE WAS GOOD. I THANK GOD SHE IS OKAY SO FAR. SHE WEIGHTS 3.5LBS. WHICH IS NORMAL WEIGHT FOR 31WKS. I JUST HOPE THAT I CAN GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE PREGNACY AND BE FIND, AND I REALLY PRAY THAT I DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A C-SECTION. I WANT TO HAVE A NORMAL VAGINAL BIRTH. AND HOPE SHE DOESN'T WEIGHT TO MUCH.

DEC.3,2007-WENT TO THE DOC. TODAY. MY BLOOD SUGAR THIS PAST WK HAS BEEN OKAY BUT AT LEAST ONCE A DAY IT WAS TO HIGH. I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD TRY REALLY HARD THIS WK TO MAKE IT COME DOWN MORE. BEGGED NOT TO BE PUT ON INSULIN SHOTS. I HAVE LOST 3LBS. SINCE LAST MONDAY. SO HE IS GIVING ME ANOTHER WK. THANK GOD!! I HAD AN ULTRASOUND AGAIN TODAY. SHE WAS GOOD. DIDN'T GET A WEIGHT THOUGH. FOUND OUT THAT I WILL HAVE AN ULTRASOUND DONE 1 OR 2 TIMES A WK. EVERY OTHER WK WE WILL SEE HOW MUCH SHE WEIGHTS. AND THE REASON FOR ALL THE ULTRASOUNDS IS JUST TO MAKE SURE SHE IS MOVING OKAY AND EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. THEY SAID BABIES TEND TO SLOW DOWN ON MOVEMENT MORE WITH MOMS WHO HAVE G.D. I'M STILL THANKFUL THAT EVERYTHING IS OKAY SO FAR. JUST HOPING I GET MY SUGAR LEVELS DOWN MORE THIS WK.

DEC.19,2007-I WENT TO THE DOC TODAY. NO INSULIN!! YEAH!!! THE BABY WAS OKAY IN THE ULTRASOUND SHE WEIGHTS 5LBS 1OZ AND SHE WOULDN'T LET US SEE HER FACE. SO WE SEEN THAT SHE WAS DEF. A GIRL AND SHE HAS PEACH FUZZ ON HER HEAD. SHE IS HEAD DOWN UP FACE UP WHICH WORRIES ME. ONE THING THAT STRUCK ME AS ODD IS WHEN THE DOC. MEASURED ME I WAS MEASURING AT 25.5 WKS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THAT MAKES A DIF. IN HOW LONG IT'S GOING TO BE UNTIL LABOUR. I STILL FEEL ALOT OF PRESSURE AT TIME DOWN THERE. I WALK ALL THAY I CAN I KNOW WITH MY FIRST THATS HOW I ENDED UP BREAKING MY WATER.. SOMETHING TO ASK ABOUT NEXT WK HUH?

DEC.14,2007-MAN TODAY WAS ROUGH. WE ALL HAD A STOMACH VIRUS AND HAVE BEEN UP SINCE 3AM. WENT TO THE LOCAL HOSPT. THEY GAVE ME FLIUDS AND TOLD ME TO GO TO MY OB DOC. WENT TO SEE HIM AND HE GAVE ME SOME MED. FOR THROWING UP. I HAD AN ULTRASOUND AND THE BABE LOOKED FINE, THANK GOD. MAYBE TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER

DEC.17,2007- HAD MY WK CHECK UP, THE DOC. WAS PROUD OF MY BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS. I'VE DONE PRETTY GOOD THIS PAST WK.IT HAS BEEN HARD THOUGH. THE BABY HAS TURNED FACE DOWN NOW. THEY CHECKED MY PLACENTA AND THEY SAID IT WAS SMOOTH. I HAD ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD TELL HOW LONG IT WAS GOING TO BE. THEY SAID WHEN THE PLACENTA STARTS TO GET ROUGH THAT IT MEAN I'M GOING INTO LABOR. VERY INTERESTING I'D NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE. WHICH I HAD NEVER HEAD TO HAVE SO MANY U/S EITHER. CAN'T WAIT FOR HER TO GET HERE THOUGH

DEC.20,2007-I AM SO HAPPY. I WENT TO THE DR. TODAY. AND SHE LOOKS GREAT,{HAD ANOTHER ULTRASOUND} SHE WAS LAYING KINDA ON HER SIDE THOUGH. U/S TECH SAID IT WAS OKAY. BUT THE DOC AND I WAS TALKING ABOUT INDUCING ME, TO PREVENT A C-SECTION, CAUSE SHE IS A BIG BABY. AND HE SAID HE WILL POSS. DO IT A WK EARLY.!!!!!! MIKE AND I ARE SO EXICITED!! I MEASURE AT 37.5 WKS TOO. HE CHECKED ME AND MY CERVICS HAS SOFTEN, WHICH IS GOOD. HE SAID THAT MEANS IF I AM INDUCED THAT THERE WILL MORE LIKELY BE NO PROBLEMS. OR I COULD GO BEFORE I'M SCHEDULED TO BE INDUCED. MAN I CAN'T WAIT. EVERYONE HAS BEEN SAYING THAT WE WILL HAVE A NEW YEARS BABY. I HOPE IT'S TRUE! WISH US LUCK!

JAN.1 2008,i went to the bathroom and i have a white discharge, no smell to it. i've had a yeast infect. before and i really don't think thats whats wrong. b/c there is no smell. this is my 2nd child and i still don't really know what a contraction feels like. but my stomach for the past 2 days has been getting tight and on my LOW sides it feels like a muscal cramp, which i've never felt before! my water broke with my first and my stupid butt went almost all day thinking i was just peeing on myself! i don't think my water is broke, now i relieze when my mucus plug came out with my first cause my water broke a few hrs afterward. i don't think i've lost it just yet. but i never had a discharge before i lost it either. and now i do. maybe i'm just freaking out b/c i've read things on here that i wonder about. like losing it in pieces, and not knowing you lost your plug. and i'm so wanting to get this over with. but i have a drive long drive to the hospt and of course it is snowing for the first time this winter and it's coming down hard, and yeah im freaking out. i had sex last night and it did hurt! which has never happened. and im very confident i had a contraction. the whole having contraction really throw me off b/c i've had a child already and my water broke i lost my plug and everything without feeling a contraction. do you think i'm close to labor? have you all lost your plug, and had discharge right before? please help!!

JAN.3,2008- WENT TO SEE MY DR TODAY. I AM A FINGERTIP DIALATED!~~ I KNOW IT ISN'T MUCH BUT IT'S A START. HE WANTS ME TO COME BACK IN MONDAY. I HOPE THATS A SIGN OF HIM THINKING IT'S NOT GOING TO BE VERY MUCH LONGER!! WISH ME LUCK I AM WANTING TO HAVE HER SO BAD IT MAKES ME CRY JUST THINKING ABOUT IT! LOL I AM SO HAPPY SHE IS ALMOST HERE!

JAN.14,2008- WOW THURSDAY IS THE BIG DAY!! I WENT TO THE DOC. TODAY AND HE SWIPPED MY CERVICS. VERY NERVOUS, DON'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT! PRAY FOR ME!!

BIRTH STORY!!!!

I was scheduled to be induced 1-17-08 at 5am. Mike got off at work the night before at 11:00pm when he came home I was still up cause I couldn`t rest, I was so nervous. I had been watching the news all night. It was snowing for the first time this winter. The new man predicted 4in. which is alot for where i live. The reason i was so nervous was because we live an hour away from the hospital. When mike got home I ened up falling asleep around 1am. He didn`t sleep at all. Around 3am he woke me up and I started to make sure we had everything. My mind was racing I couldn`t hardly think! We left at 15 min. to 4. On the way there no one was out. Luckly we got behind a salt and scraper truck. It`s a straight shot on a hwy from our house to the hospital. When Mike drove me up to the hospial doors to drop me off I reliezed I had forgot my paper work. I got so upset. I remembered everything except the doc.`s orders. We went up to the l&d floor they said it was okay.

The nurse put us in a room, hooked my up with an i.v. with fliuds. I wasn`t feeling any contractions or anything. I was 3 cm dialated. This was around 6:15am. At 7:00am the wonderful nurse Karla came and started the potocin. I knew it wouldn`t be long. I started having contractions around 8:00am We sat and watched them as they got closer together. around 10:00am Karla,my nurse, came in checked me I was 6cm dialated. She sugested that I go ahead and get my epidural. I was shocked because the contraction wasn`t all that bad. Not like it was with my first daughter. It really blew my mind. Don`t get me wrong it hurt, but not like I expected. I wasn`t sure if i should get it since I was takening it so good. Karla said I think you should go ahead cause your contractions are 2 -4 min apart and it`s not going to be long. so I said okay.

John, the anesthesiologist, came in asked me all kinds of things. I answered the best I could and when I could. Mike answered for me! Then the procedure started. Now to be truthful I really didn`t know if I wanted to have it done. Because with my first it went really bad. So mike helped me alot to get ready. I was so proud of myself. John ended up not able to get it in the right spot. my right side was completly numb! Left side wasn`t. He ened up sticking me twice. Yeah it was bad! But I handled it better than with my first labor. Oh jeeze it hurt so bad, alot more than labor pains. BUt it was only cause he had to move it around in my back to get it centered. Once he got it in place though I have to say it was worth it. I was really relaxed! I don`t know what he gave me but he put something extra in there. He said he was sorry it took so long and he knows it hurt, so here`s alittle icing with the cake.

After a while, don`t remember how long I started feeling alot of pressure. I called karla told her she checked me I was 8cm dialated. She said doing good! I began to get really nervous. The pressure feelings got closer and closer together. Then it started to get bad. I wanted to push so bad! With every contraction came the urge. oh this was proble the worst pain through out the whole labor. We called the nurse. She came in started getting everything ready while we waited for the doctor. Breathe thats all I heard. But I wasn`t breathing the urges off. Thats what Karla told me to do, Not to push. She checked me I was 10 cm.

The doctor came in, asked me if I was ready, I was in so much pain I didn`t even answer. I just looked at him! I wanna push I wanna push thats all I was thinking of. Then no no no don`t push !! Finaly they told me to push. After a few pushes they told me to stop, did their thing and then I started pushing again. I don;t remember how many times I pushed but it seemed like it took forever! And alot longer than it did with my first.

After awhile, she was here. They put her in the warmer and cleaned her up. she wasn`t crying so of course I asked her if she was okay. I hadn`t got a good look at her. They said yes she is fine and very pretty! Mike was looking at me, I asked him if he was going to look at her she said I will. Come to find out he was making sure I was okay. I was I wanted to see my baby though. Which I knew they needed to do their thing with her. They weighed her, then handed her to me. And I started to feed her. She latched right on. It was amazing. She was so pretty! The prettiest baby I had ever seen. Then Mike held her and they took her off to the nursrey. She came back and they said she was perfect. Not a thing wrong with her. I was so happy! Our first daughter had minor heart problems, It is the worst thing ever to hear your lil baby has a problem! So I really thank god I didn`t have to go through that again.

I didn`t sleep all night. I held her and looked her over right good. The nurse, mary, would come in and say honey aren`t you going to get some rest? I`d say no I`m fine! The next morning My doctor came in to check on me and said I could go home that day, alivia`s doctor came in and said she was good to go we had to at least wait until she was there for 24 hrs. she was born at 12:12pm he said we could walk out at 12:13pm lol. alot of other people came in i signed all kinds of papers, Birth cert., the nurses went over little things with me on caring for myself as well as the newborn. Which I pretty much knew, but they had to go over it with me. And then around 1:30pm we left!!
