I had cervidil put in, in the morning, my contractions got closer, 2 minutes apart, 2 hours after they put it in, and then after it fell out 3 hours after they put the cervidil in, it fell out!! then my water broke, and the contractions came regulary and it didnt hury at all. its a strip with a string

I had my baby girl on June 3rd. I went in the night before for the cervidil. It didn't hurt at all. I never felt it. I woke up the next morning, they took it out, I was a little further dilated and about 70% effaced (went to sleep with no effacement) and they broke my water and started the pitocin at 9am. She was born at 9:06 pm. It wasn't bad at all. People got me all freaked out about the cervidil.

well not really if you were due on the 18th over due generally is 1 week past the due date. Why don't you tell your doctor you want to wait at least till one week over to see if you go naturally? Since you are not a high risk pregnancy.

awwww yes with my 1st i had no show no nothing, and in 4 kdis never seen a plug a show and only once water leaked never broke in 4 pregnancys, , so this time ia m not expecting it to break,
i ahve had show and plug this weekend first time for both in 5th pregnancy,a nd it comes faster when ur not expecting it, not like all of us saying yahhhhhhh 3cm *05 ,( i have been there for a month) lol
and man is this baby ever gona come,g
well the last 2 only signs i had were some odd contractions and was dialted 3 cm a wk b 4 sweep had them both after a sweep, has ur dr tryed that yet?

I didn't have any signs of going into labor at all. And then I just went to lay down to go to sleep, and my water broke! And then my contractions came on. I went into the doctor that day and I was 2cm and 50 effaced. So I had no signs of going into labor, never experienced contractions until then, and also never noticed that I lost my plug. Hope this helps, and good luck! Its all worth it!! :)

HI! Yes I was in the same boat you are in. Well I had to be induced b/c my amnio fluid was way too low, but i was only 50% and like a fingertip dialated. I went in on a Tuesday afternoon and they used cervadill to soften my cervix. Then the next day they started the pitocin. My labor went fine! In fact after the epidural (im not going to lie, pitocin hurt me like hell) I napped through most of my labor. My water also broke on it's own after the pitocin. Don't be scared, I know thats easy to say, but it will work out fine!
