Monday 7th Jan 08

It has been a great day today. I went for my 20 week scan, a little late but we had to wait because they were so booked up over Christmas time. We found out that our baby is doing well and that everything is developing as it should. We are soooooooo relieved as I was feeling really apprehensive about whether everything would be ok with the baby. We also found out that we are having a baby girl. We are both so pleased as all we were really worried about was the baby being ok, finding out the gender was just fab!

I know that I'm fairly far on for my first post, but I wanted to wait until I found out that things seemed to be ok at the scan before I started writing about the baby.

It is all starting to seem really, well, real to me now. We are going to start planning the nursery now and think of names.

Monday 14th Jan 08

My little baby has been doing lots of kicking recently. My husband can now feel her moving so he is really pleased gthat he can now start to feel a part of things. I'm off to Los Angeles for a couple of weeks to visit an old school friend. I'm so looking forward to seeing her but not at all looking forward to the 11 hour flight!

Friday 29th Feb 08

Gosh time does fly. I can't believe my little baby will be here in less than 3 months. Yay!! Things have been good, I've got really bad rib pain but other than that things seem to be ok, no back pain yet thankfully.

So, this weekend we are going to the shops to get the new furniture for the baby's room. I'm very excited, don't think I've ever been excited about buying a chest of drawers before, ha ha.

I've got my 4D scan on Monday, I'm very excited to see our beautiful baby. Wish me luck xx

Tuesday 4th March 08

I went for my 4D scan yeasterday. Little baby was covering her face with her hands so I was asked to go for a walk and then they would try again. I had a drink and a walk and still she had her hands infront of her face, she looked like a boxer! So they said that I can come back again but I'd have to pay another £90, so I don't think I will. It was lovely to see her hands and feet all cute. The baby is weighing in at 4 pounds which is rather a lot for 29 weeks. I think she will either come early or be a big one!

We have made a good start on the nursery, we finally managed to choose an interior from Mamas and Papas, the Millie and Boris one, so we are both pleased with that. We have our first NCT class next monday, looking forward to meeting the other mummies to be.
