Santa came early!!!!!

We had our little girl on Nov. 24th. She came into this world by emergency c-section at 37 weeks. She is beautiful and wonderful and loved!!!

We are now 36 weeks, one month to go!!!! Getting ready...not organized yet!! On one hand I need more time and yet, I am almost done with being preggs!

We are 32 weeks now, and everything looks beautiful. We saw our girl on 3D/4D and she is awesome. What a cutie pie already. She will be a heartbreaker for sure. We started our Prepared childbirth classes and they are pretty informative, but most things we already knew. It is more exciting to make a birthplan and to figure out how to prepare for labor!

Yes, some of the stuff is back ont the pages, but not everything. Dirk is working with the hosting company to get some answers and find a solution. You can go to his page and follow the instructions he has posted to try to retrieve the latest copy of your page. For some it will work and for others it will not. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi. It happened to me also and seems to be happening to many other VIP's also. I have emailed the site owner and I am hoping we will have a solution for you all tomorrow. Thanks for reporting!

Wow, I bet it was cool to see your little girl on the scan! I thought about having one but I thought I'll see her soon enough! I am finding it very hard to clean the school now. Everything's such hard work, even the simplest of things. Martin said he'd do my cleaning for me but I feel bad asking him as he works all day. I have 6 weeks left of my dinner time job at the school and then I leave that one so that will be a bit easier. I'm just feeling like I need to slow down now. I'm glad you are ok. Are you working?

kara - Monday, 1 Oct
hey there! Thanx for the advice I will have to try that.. I went to the dr and they said it was from really really bad heart burn.. i tried telling them I knew what heart burn was and it was not a pain like that but they said that was it... so whatever.. I had lots of tests done and apparently I am healthy so I am not going to worry about it anymore.. But I will definately try your remedy the next time it happens... OH yeah and Congrats!

Hello, my scan didn't go very well. My fluid had gone right back down again to a severely low level. My consultant is concerned about her little hands and feet getting squashed from lack of room. She said baby might get distressed from being so cramped and I may go into labour early. She decided to give me the 2 steroid jabs 24 hours apart to mature her little lungs incase she comes early. So I'm worried again now. I want her to stay in there for another 5 weeks if possible. I'm just hoping they don't say I need a a c-section coz I really want to give birth naturaly. She's still very lively and my consultant said that was good as sick babies don't move. I just hope she's not too uncomfortable in there. How are you coping at the moment? xxx

Hope the results from your gluclose test come out ok. I've yet to have my first one yet, not even sure what week they do that. I have chronic hypertension as well, my first few readings were 110/90...lately they have gone down to about 100/80. Doctors are keeping an eye on it, but so far don't expect to put me on any medication for it. I'm not even sure what number they are more concerned about. Good luck with your results!! xoxo, Heather

kayakcouple - Thursday, 27 Sep
I've been on medication for chronic hypertension for about a month now. It has helped keep my blood pressure below 140/90. They increased the dosage once, and I'm going to the doctors every 2 weeks to keep an eye on the bp. Having normal urine results is great because that means it is not preeclampsia. I have to do a 2nd 24 hr urine test in a week and again every month until the baby is born. High blood pressure is managable! I do my first glucose test in 2 weeks.

Kes1973 - Tuesday, 25 Sep
congrats to you too! Your updates are so funny. Sorry about the high blood pressure and Nurse Ratchet experience. Medication time????? I swear the doctors have a racket going, they know you're gonna be stressed in the office and it gives them a reason to prescribe more junk. Why I love my midwives, let me count the ways!!! :) Cool about Katahdin...you guys live in a beautiful area too--Asheville is just the coolest, and right there at the Smokies. NICE!!! Take it easy and best to you!

Hi Heather, It does sound like we had the same group. I have switched to a new group and I feel a lot more relaxed now. My B.P. has been steady with medication the last couple of weeks. The 24 hr urine collection was pretty easy, and I know to expect to do one every month. One good thing about the high B.P. is the monthly ultrasounds. We just had 1 and it was wonderful to see our baby jumping all around. I feel him all the time, which is part of the reason I'm up at 5 in the morning. I hope you pass this glucose tolerance test. I have 1 coming up in 2 weeks.

hi congratulations on your pregnancy! i am actually in the uk! regarding the gestational diabetes, i was really quite upset when my test came back high, but i've had time to get used to it now! it has taken me a while to get my blood sugars good, but now they are mostly withing the limits my doctor has set, which i'm really pleased about! i have to keep a strict diet, which has been trial and error to see which foods send my blood sugar high! (mostly all the nice things!) i have managed to keep off insulin, and have got used to the diet now. it helps to remember that it's not forever and at least our babies will be born before christmas so we'll be able to enjoy all those lovely christmas treats!!! keep in touch, we can keep each other encouraged on the good and the bad days!!!! take care xxx vicky

I'm sorry to hear that you failed your glucose test. I haven't heard of such a test over here. I'll ask my midwife when I see her next. 11 weeks to go, I can't believe I'm 29 weeks today! She's still kicking me like mad! I feel really tired at the moment. I feel like it's time to slow down a bit, but I have to walk up and down the school 3 times a day as I can't drive. Oh well! How are you feeling?

kellym1o9 - Sunday, 23 Sep
Heyy..I failed the 1 hour..when I went to go to the 3 hour..i drank the orange stuff..15 minutes later i threw up..the woman at the place told me it could be because i had to take a higher dose of the glucose..but it might mean i have gestational diabetes..but my mom's friend told me that she had to go back a few times cause she threw up she got sick cause the glucose liquid tasted soo bad..my doctor is making me go back and do it again..i dunno anything further than that

Amber J - Tuesday, 18 Sep
Hi, how did your gestational diabetes test go? I haven't had one and nobody has even mentioned a test to me. Don't ever remember having it done. Don't think we get that test done over here in Britain.

Amber J - Tuesday, 11 Sep
Hello, I'm fine thanks. My little girl doesn't stop kicking! The movements are getting stronger and stronger! She seems to move and kick so often! Does your little girl get hiccups! Mine gets them about 3 times a day! I haven't had anymore probs and I feel happier. I have another scan this month to check the baby and my fluid. My dog is not well, she is limping badly on her front right leg since yesterday and she's collapsed 3 times trying to stand on it. She also has runny eyes, don't know if she's allergic to something as she does have allergies. We have an appointment at the vets tonight so I'll see what they say. How are you getting on? xx

Amber J - Sunday, 2 Sep
Hello! I'm good thanks, I've had no more problems and I'm still taking it easy! I'm glad you and your little girl are doing ok. My baby kicks loads 1 day, then not so much the next! She also has hiccups between 2 and 4 times a day! I can't believe I'm 26 weeks today! I think I'll feel so much safer when I reach 30 weeks. My belly is getting so round now! I can definately feel things stretching, ouch! I've got lots of little pink outfits so I hope the docs weren't wrong about the sex! Hope you and your husband had a great wedding anniversary!!! Take care, love Amber. xx

Amber J - Thursday, 23 Aug
Hi, I can't believe you still have morning sickness! I feel so sorry for you. I have no more problems at the mo, they just have to keep an eye on me. All of a sudden, I am feeling very uncomfortable though and irritable and feel like I want to cry. It feels like all my organs are being pushed up and I' m finding it hard to breathe sometimes even if I just walk up the stairs! Things are definately starting to stretch and hurt now. Do you feel like this too? How's your little baby girl bump doing? xx

skmommyof3 - Thursday, 16 Aug
Hello! Thanks for writing me. We are having a girl too. I am hoping to have the baby earlier then my due date, my last baby was 9 pounds and i was 4 days overdue, so i can handle going early as opposed to late. So just a few things that might help you, if you get worried about baby cause you haven't felt her, eat or drink something sweet, and then lay down on the bed on your left side for a little while, wont take long and youll feel her. And i wake her up during the day, cause i love feeling her so much, i will just sit back and rub my tummy and she will get to moving, and that usually keeps her from keeping ME up at night by moving around. Just some thoughts, now im no doctor, so this is just what i do!! Good luck and enjoy the pink!!
