Santa came early!!!!!

We had our little girl on Nov. 24th. She came into this world by emergency c-section at 37 weeks. She is beautiful and wonderful and loved!!!

We are now 36 weeks, one month to go!!!! Getting ready...not organized yet!! On one hand I need more time and yet, I am almost done with being preggs!

We are 32 weeks now, and everything looks beautiful. We saw our girl on 3D/4D and she is awesome. What a cutie pie already. She will be a heartbreaker for sure. We started our Prepared childbirth classes and they are pretty informative, but most things we already knew. It is more exciting to make a birthplan and to figure out how to prepare for labor!

yea she is going to be names after her dad..i actually liked that name and ofcourse he is thrilled. i think it was easier for us to creat a unique name then actually look for one because we wa shaving no luck with the babii books or anything.

Hi, I'm sooooo excited! I just had a phone call from my midwife at 8:00 in the evening! She wants to come and see me tomorrow morning at 10:00! Yippee, something's actually happening!

Thanks for your message..many congrats!Our first scan was soo amazing...it was definitely worth the wait! I wish I had an ultrasound at home..I'd be on it all day and all night..I'd have to cancel all my work :) I now have to wait until I'm 20 weeks to get my next scan! ..It's going to be really difficult! Good luck with your pregnancy.

Hey there! Yeah my due date has changed twice now, but it's Dec 13th for us too!! Congrats on making it thru the u/s it's not so comfy buuut it's sooo exciting to see the heartbeat and hear the baby and all - Mark and I have our 2nd u/s (his first time he will see the baby) next week! I can't WAIT! :) :) :) CONGRATS!

Hello, Everything seems to be going fine, i just keep hoping I am goning to get that wonderful burst of energy that I hear most women get in there second trimester. Was at the Dr. Thur and asked her was I going to get any energy back and she hung her head and said doubt it. Like you she said due to my advance maternal age I would have a harder time with my energy level. I work full time and I usually have one good day on the weekend and the other one I half to rest because of swelling in my feet. I am 21 weeks now and wished I was 31 hehehe.

Hi Heather, I am so ill today, I have been throwing up too. I'm so tired it's hard at the moment. I am so sorry to hear about your parents it must be so hard for you. My real dad isn't around, he never wanted to know me but I have a lovey step dad who has brought me up since I was 2 so as far as I'm concerned, he is my dad. I don't know what I'd do without my mum. I think you should tell people about your baby whenever you feel comfortable about it. Nobody else can make that decision for you. I have always told everyone early on but that's just me! Martin has been ok today, he is doing my 3 hours cleaning at the primary school coz I feel so sh***y today. I could't face doing that today so I appreciate that. Anyway, I think I need another lay down again! Speak soon, Amber.

I ended up in mozambique because my mom was born here so i always loved the country, and since i'm a divemaster this is one of the best places you get to dive:) not forgeting that i also came to africa to follow my heart and the one i loved, since his south african...Glad it all turn out well and that we're still together and now having a baby...:) you must also be super excited with your pregnancy, i wish you all the best!!!:)

Hi, I haven't been on the site for a while. I've been feeling so sick all day and I feel sooooo lazy! All I want to do is lay on the sofa all day, I hate feeling like this. I'm glad your appointment went well. I've still heard nothing from my midwife! I've been in tears today, my partner has shouted at me and made me cry. I'm seriously fed up with him at the moment and not even sure I want to be with him anymore. I don't need this stress at the moment. He's upsetting my daughters and I have to think of them too. My mum doesn't like him anymore coz of how he treats me. I just don't know what to do. I have already told everyone about my pregnancy! My daughters are so excited. Everyone where I work know as well. I couldn't wait any longer to tell people, I told them about a week ago! Are you feeling ok? Good luck with the ultrasound.

Hi - I had quite a bit of spotting at 5 weeks but with no pain and I had a perfectly normal pregnancy and a healthy baby at term. PS I saw a comment about liver - I was warned by my midwife to stay away from it as it has a high vitamin A content.

Oooops, sorry, I meant to say good luck with your appointment! They will just ask you loads of questions on your first vist. They may check a urine sample for sugar or protein and take some blood samples to send off to see if you are immune to rubella etc. Also they'll probably check your blood pressure and feel your belly. Think it may be too early yet to hear the babies heartbeat. I wish I was having a check. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks or so!

Hi, I've had no tests or checks or anything yet, all I did was ring my doc 3 weeks ago and told him! The midwife isn't coming 'til I'm 10 weeks. The midwife can check the heartbeat without ultrasound. I don't think they can hear it 'til 10-12 weeks though. They use this machine that amplifies the sound of the heart so you can hear it too! They put jelly stuff on your belly. We are 8 weeks aren't we? Yeah, I will be 9 weeks on Sunday. The thought of liver makes me feel ill!

Are you sure it's ok to eat liver? I thought it was one of those things you're not supposed to eat during pregnancy like mayonaise and pate etc. I have been a vegetarian all my life. I rang my doctor yesterday because I thought he might have forgotten to tell the midwife that I'm pregnant as I told him nearly 3 weeks ago and I've heard nothing. He said he had told her but she wouldn't contact me 'til I was at least 10 weeks! I think that's bad. I just want to speak to someone and know that everything's ok. I feel like I've been waiting to see her for ever! Lots of other people on the site have already had ultrsounds and appointments and checks. I think things are done differently in the US and I live in Britain. Or maybe they think oh she's had 2 already so she knows what she's doing! I felt awful yesterday, I couldn't stand the smell of anything and just wanted to be outside in the fresh air. My breasts haven't been sore, it's just my nipples that are sore! How about you? I don't really have any weird symptoms but I am having palpitations which get a bit annoying. Just wish I'd stop feeling so sick. I feel like I'm neglecting my 2 girls coz I just couldn't get off the sofa yesterday. My partner got home from work and had to do everything! How are you doing today? Amber.

Hi, I have waves of menstrual-like cramps too! This is my 3rd pregnancy and I had these same pains before but it wasn't 'till many weeks later. They were braxton hicks contractions that got more painful as I got near the end of my pregnancies. When I went into labour with my last daughter, I didn't realise I actually was! I just thought it was bad braxton hicks! When my waters went I thought oh! These pains I'm having now really feel like braxton hicks but I don't know if you are meant to be able to feel them yet. I'm still feeling sick all day but still haven't been sick yet thank goodness! How are you? Amber.

I am feeling better than I did in the first few months, still get tired alot but no more morning sickness.Whoohoo! The Dr. has stressed me more than anything had a scare couple weeks ago. I had my test for spina bifida and Dr calls and said he was positive I had to wait 3 days before I got to see my high risk specialist Dr. Seems it was a false/postive they did an extensive ultrasounds and seen no problems with him at all. But it was really scary couldn't eat or sleep for those 3 days, I am still kinda upset with my Dr. about that. So if it happens to you try not to worry to much until you know for sure. (I don't know why I am even telling you that cause I know it's impossible.)
