Hey everyone

Well..I guess a little intro would be appropriate here. I am 23 years old, I'm the mother to a beautiful six year old (which yes means I had him when I was 16, save you time doing the math) he's wonderful, smart, funny, and well...obviously I think he's the best kid on the earth :) I have two little girls in Heaven who I miss very very much and I've been married to the father (of all three..well, now four babies) for the past six 1/2 years.

We found out on April 18th that we're pregnant again. Couldn't be more happy about it! I just hope all goes well and that at the end of the nine (or ten) months I get to take this baby home and take care of him and her! Please keep us in your prayers!

Alright I guess that's about it, if there's anything else you wanna know don't hesitate to ask!

I never had to take medicine for the hypertension and did not have to go to a specialist and both babies were fine. I had toxemia with my 1st one but not til the end. I had her at 38 weeks by c section. she weighed 7lb 11 oz. I did not have toxemia with my 2nd and my csection was to be at 39 weeks but I went into labor the day before the section was scheduled and she was 8lb 7 oz. I am so sorry about your losses. I remember reading that on your profile. I know it is hard not to worry under any circumstances. The other day when I was at the dr he mentioned my history of pregnancy induced hypertension and wanted to know if I had another u/s with the fetal specialist they sent me to (because of my age) and I said he told me I did not have to come back. That is when my dr said I needed to have another one due to the PIH to see how the baby was growing. But he said it like it was just another day at the office. Don't get me wrong I love my dr. I am just ready for him to pull me out of work! haha. Do you know if you are having a boy or girl? Sorry to ramble on. I am such an idiot I posted this comment on my own page 1st..haha

I got high blood pressure when i got Pregnant they have me on meds 3 times a day and i have to see a Perinatal dr every month (along with the midwife) and have an ultra sound every month to make sure the baby is "growing to the right size". They just want to make sure you and baby are doing just fine. :)

I have hypertension and had it with my other two and my dr said the same thing about another u/s which I am having next week. It is something they watch close but don't worry about since they are watching it.

Hey, how you doing? I read your post. I am the same way. Before I became pregnant I had high blood pressure and still do. I take medicine for it though. So it's been good. My doctor told me also he will have to do more ultrasounds than usual because of it because if you have it...it can make your baby grow too slowly.

Happy birthday in two weeks. I was exactly like you, I really wanted to find out the sex of the baby. I was determined to find out until my DH decided he didnt want to know. I tried and tried to talk him into it, but he was very strong about this decision. I was so upset. I really wanted to know. Anyway as the weeks went by, I am now really grateful that I dont know the sex. I have kind of realise that in life we do not get many surprises and this little bundle of joy is going to be the best surprise ever. Once the baby is born, i really dont care what sex it is as long as it is healthy. I love playing the guessing game on what sex it is. And I find, I get heaps of attention with my work colleges and friends trying to guess. Anyway good luck. Let me know what you decide to do. oxoxox

hello, i dont know what sex I am having, and I am not going to find out. I am going to have a little surprise at the end. Maybe your bubby is trying to tell you something, maybe he or she does not want you to know... heheheh good luck

Sweetie, that is how people have described Braxton Hicks to me, but if you're concerned, call your doctor. It doesn't hurt.

carakinz - Friday, 12 September
i have that too when my stomache gets really hard and it feels like it's getting tight. My doctor said that those are braxton hicks. It seems to do it if I do a bunch of walking, or climbing up stairs, too.

jali9960 - Wednesday, 3 September
Yeah..That's how I try to look at it too. I seem to grow every morning I get up. He should be growing good..lol!

Thanks

HAYLIESMOMMIE4707 - Monday, 4 August
I had an epidural and right before they took me in for it, the doc came in and gave me some more so it wouldnt wear off. I did not feel a thing below my chest. I think the docs know wat they r doin about cutting the baby or any organs. I kno u get scared, i was really scared and will be scared again. But its all worth it in the end.

Hi I wrote to you the other day, and i think you are going to have a c-section. I have had one with my daughter, and it aint all that bad. I was fully medicated and did not feel a thing. You will be fine. If you want to talk more about it just send me a message, i am willing to answer any questions, and i will have another c-section with this baby.

DecBaby - Thursday, 31 July
Yeah sweetie, watching the video was NOT a good idea! :) They will make sure that you are pretty medicated and it is a very quick process. They also leave things in place so they can give you move pain meds if necessary. I also had in an IV and I believe I was receiving meds through that as well...they cover the bases pretty well. It really is much better than I thought it would be. Granted, having your stomach cut open is a very scary thing......but, once you see that precious little baby it is all so worth it!

Hi, my name is Amanda, im 22 from PA, I have a 16 month old daughter and am pregnant due on Jan. 1st. Maybe we can chat more since we are almost due around the same time.

SaraEmily - Thursday, 31 July
Thanks! Somedays I feel larger than others. The beach was a different experience being 8 months pregnant, lol. My delivery date is set for Sept. 9th so I only have like 39 more days, sigh, I am ready!

You feeling pretty good?

momtotheo - Thursday, 31 July
Makes total sense. This is major surgery we are talking about! But, take everything in stride. Make sure you are well educated but, put faith in your doctors and you and baby will be fine. I totally understand where your comming from. Good Luck.

DecBaby - Thursday, 31 July
Don't stress about the c-section....you will be heavily medicated! :) Of course there are risks, but there are risks associated with a natural birth as well. Just do some reading online...there are many good articles out there that will explain what the process is like. It is kind of a slow recovery process! Hang in there!!

momtotheo - Wednesday, 30 July
Even though it is surgery Im not scared about my c sect in Dec. I had an emergency c sect and was put out for the first one. I really can't wait to have a controlled c sect and stay awake for this one! I had one of the worst incisions (up and down ) and it still wasn't bad to recover from at all. My cousins friend has gone through natural and then her second by c sect. She said that her friend would take a c sect over natural birth any day. Now that's interesting.

amanda43 - Wednesday, 30 July
My c section experience was great, no pain, no contractions and the next day I was up and walking a little sore but you'll be fine.

30YrOldNzGirl - Wednesday, 30 July
Oh hun, c-sections arent bad at all, less painfull than a natural birth. Try and focus on the good things about it, such as youll know exactly when bub will arrive. You wont have to go through hours of labour. Hey btw they wont cut the baby. Karen
