Reighan-Mackenzie-Brooks`s birthstoryOur induction for a vaginal birth was scheduled for 8am.I worried all night long. I got an epidural asap because of my cerclage.(I dialated to 4 as soon as it came out) Then here comes the pitocin drip.Unfortunately I had to get a 2nd epidural because after about 9 hours it didn`t work.Horrible Horrible labor contractions! My contractions were coming 2 fast(every minute) but I was stuck on 6 cin.they cut the pitocin down.The second epidural worked for 10-15 minutes.Then I accepted that I would deliver w/o medicine,but her heart rate increased.This means C-SECTION time! I said cool,anything to have a healthy baby.Now it`s about7:30pm and my contractions were unbelievable,especially in the back.They rushed me to surgery and the spinal wouldn`t take! NOTHING would take! I felt every test cut,pinch,I could still wiggle my toes also.I was crying and screaming and I actually thought I was going to die!I was begging for my husband.They finally told me I had to get a general anesthesia and would miss the birth of my daughter.I have a beautiful baby girl now and I would do it all over again.

Me and my husband are expecting our first baby.Although I have 3 step children that I love,we are very excited. Our "gender" appointment is January 30. Previous ultrasounds seem to indicate a little girl,but we were told not to buy anything yet.

This morning,finally felt the baby move.Between 6am-6 :22am they were like little fists or maybe kicks.At first I thought my mind was playing tricks on me,so i switched positions a couple of times and there were the same little "taps" in the same spot.This has made my day.

...addendum to yesterday, The baby punched,kicked.hurdled,swam,twisted,every aerobic exercise known to man.This was all good until they were in my bladder.I must say this was quite uncomfortable.This went on all day until about 9-9:30pm off and on.So far today very little movement unlike yesterday and I'm kinda sad,but they say this early on everyday will not be the same.Besides it's only 6:27am.I will keep you all posted. ...(uhh ohh ) I think the little karate master is up and stretching for 2nd day of class and I'm the student.

Well,the doctor said he was pleased with all the babys measurements. We are having a baby girl!!!!!!!!!! I am ecstatic.God is good.Of course i had my husband take me to buy some little outfits.(little early)but who cares!! you only live once,and i plan on enjoying everyday of this pregnancy.Her head is right on my bladder.This is why i have to use the restroom every minute.The doc also said she has some big feet.wow. She almost weighs 1lb.(14oz) It is so amazing watching her move.

All is well.I think I feel the babys hiccups.It's soo cute.They scared me at first,but i read about it. I guess she's starting to swallow fluid (practicing)My baby seems to be getting on a sleeping schedule already.Now that is weird!!!

Today is a good day.I had a doctors app.,and everything is great!!I'm sad because we didn't get an ultrasound.My little angel is really getting active,well at least last night she was. It's almost like,she knows when i'm trying to get sleep.Don't get me wrong,kicks are cute. JUST NOT IN MY BLADDER! lol

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my VERY VERY stuffy ears,this seems to be normal during pregnancy.He prescribed me veramyst nose spray.Today me and my husband celebrated valentines day.Since I'm on light duty,it was great to get out of the house and go to dinner.

Today was a great day!! I'm thankful for another year of life.This birthday was different in the fact that I am pregnant.My husband took me and my oldest step daughter to dinner,and the baby kicked almost the entire time.It was really cute when the staff came and sang the birthday song. lol See, i dont get out much because I'm on "light" duty .It really made me feel good when one the workers came over and said "congratulations,I'm pregnant too" 3rd trimester is right around the corner!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh yeah I forgot to mention my family came over to sing happy birthday and eat cake.

Nothing much today,I went to the ear doc yesterday and guess what??????????? My problem is ESTROGEN.So this was comforting and fustrating at the same time.I got my ears tested and all,the whole 9 yards and I have perfect hearing.BUT I still have a very stuffy ear. The only suggestion he had was to get Afrin.He also explained that the rebound effect was horrible!!!! Most pregnant women get addicted to it because it relieves Greatly,but only temporarily,so I opted not to do that.I'll be fine after delivery which is 3 months and some days. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, had a doctors appointment today and everything is cool.I'm ashamed to say i've gained more weight than i should have.This is very difficult being on bed rest and all.One helpful hint the doc did say was to stay away from SUGAR like 100% juice OMG!!!! they are loaded with sugar,and thats all i've been drinking except water of course.I really thought i was doing myself a favor ,but oh well. All is good.

1more day in week 24!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait until week 28 (third trimester) I just finished reading my book "A New Earth" I joining the Oprah Winfrey live web cast on March 3rd.It's a 10 week class. The book was DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!! This should keep me occupied for awhile . Reighan is kicking very often these days.I love her so much.

I just found out today my glucose test was a little HIGH so of course today is Friday and I have to wait until MONDAY This going to drive me NUTS.Not only do I have to worry about scheduling a 3 hour test,but also the results.And whats going to happen if I have Gestational Diabetes????????????????????????? The doctors office said not to worry ,because it wasn't very high,but worst case sonario,I need a better diet.And if that SH********t doesnt work then There are pills,Then if that fails,then of course there is always I N S U L I N. I know nobody will even probably read this ,but is great to vent. I have Faith.And I guess it's not that bad,actually kinda common,I'm a worry wart. I will keep reading my scriptures. God Bless.

Ok here's the deal,I'm starting to get really frustated with my husband!!!!! He works allllllllllll the time.But I appreciate it,because I had to quit my main job of 8 years because I didn't have any kind of insurance or benefits for standing on my feet all day and being HIGH RISK.They would've held my job (I guess)But it wasn't worth all the DRAMA, and I am a licensed beautician . My husband called and quit for me.

But that's not it.WE NEED BABY FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sh*******t,we need everything.The days he has off,he is too tired to anything but sleep.And the horrible thing is,my sister wants to give us basically everything (all baby furniture) but my husband doesn't want it.He wants all new since it's our first together.The Store we looked at takes 4 weeks for delivery,and my doctor already said I won't go 40 weeks.More like 1-2 weeks earlier.My husband needs a big RED clown nose on,because he is clowning!

Today I am so excited because I'm finally in week 27.Let me explain......I've had a few problems in my past with pregnancy's.Never really thought I could get this far actually.But I have a great doctor(HIGH RISK) and I've hit several milestones in this pregnancy.The milestone that once looked soooooooo very far away was 28 weeks.My doc says that @ 28 weeks.the baby has the same survival rate as a 40 week newborn..No I don't want to have my baby @ 28 weeks,but it sure as hell feels good to not have to worry so damn much.It seems like just the other day my doc was telling me i was pregnant,and to hang on until week 13 so I could get a cerclage.And the other great news is that we get to see our angel on Tuesday.She's probably grown so much since our last ultrasound which was January 30.God Is GOOD!

I passed my 3 hour glucose test!

Today I had a great appontment.My dumb self didn't know that when I scheduled my appointment,I should've told then an "ultasound" To make a long story short,I have to go tomorrow for my ultrasound.Stay tuned..............

Ok here's the deal,we finally saw our baby girl. She is so beautiful! and right now she's head down.We only have one 3D picture of her legs,because she kept covering her little face with her hands.It was almost like she knew we were watching her.The technician kept poking @ my stomach,trying to get her to move her hands.Then she just rolled over and we were staring at the back of her head.I was upset,but I have to admit it,It was so damn cute!!! I will start my non-stress tests on April 1st,then my appointments will move to once a week.

Ok...Here's the deal,me and my husband went and put Reighan's furniture in layaway.The furniture is really SWEET. It's the Velencia Simmons Collection.(deep black cherry)Of course I keep looking it up on line,imagining the bedding set with it. This is really starting to hit home.I hope I can deliver!!!lol My husband said I have no choice,she can't stay in there forever.Now we have to start picking up little things when we go to the store.dreft,baby wipes,lotions,shampoos etc.

Well,I'm still pregnant.This pregnancy seems really long.I'm very thankful and blessed,but DAMN! Me and my husband went yesterday to buy me an outfit for my baby-shower.That was a major disaster.Nothing fit in the maternity section.I'm really embarrassed to say,but I bought something from the plus section instead.

oh,my baby shower is April 26 th @ Tangiers.My sister is hosting it.I feel bad because I didn't want her to spend a lot of money.My friends and those family who haven't seen me are going to think I'm huge.I want to look my best.I still need to buy some shoes.My feet are sooooooo swolen.I don't know what I'm going to do. LOL. I go to my weekly doc appointment tomorrow & non-stress test,so this means I can't overeat today.My doc will kill me.

I wasn't much of a blogger until this pregnancy,but I must say I love it~

Had my non-stress test today.It went really good.The nurse had to wake up Reighan.It's amazing how they know these things.They have a little device,like a little alarm clock.She woke right up.The whole purpose of the non-stress test,is to make sure the baby's heart beat rises with activity.(good oxygen to the placenta)

The baby-shower invitations hit today.This is sur real!!!!!!! It's like that's all I think about now.I actuall visualize the whole thing.Maybe i just have a mental problem or something.but i'm really excited!!!!! ?can you tell I've never had a baby shower before? i'm blessed to be this far after 3 miscarriages. Whoo-hoo.next weekend I'll be 8 montghs preggos.Next milestone will be 34 weeks.(lungs are more mature)Next milestone of course is 35/36 weeks because the baby will be considered full term. ....................you know that.

Went to the doctor today,and everything is really going great!First of all,the NST was wonderful.Reighan was moving all around the place.I passed immediately!Then I went to my OBGYN and everthing was great also.He was very happy with my weight.(I actually lost 4 lbs since last week)My cerclage is still in place.Apparently,getting it out is very simple and nothing like getting it in!

Just another saturdaay afternoon.....The weather is nice,maybe 70 degrees.My husband took off a couple of days to start painting the nursery.This is kinda exciting,but I just want it to be done.He's actually working on 1 rooms.(whatever)The other room is my stepdaughter's.The room she's moving into,the walls are really crappy.All I know is my ultrasound is Wednesday(4 days from now)and I get to see my Reighan!!! Then on Friday,I get my hair done.(Finally)I've been doing it myself,since I am a licensed beautician.But it's been 8 weeks since my last relaxer.WOW All you ethnic girls know what I mean.and to top it all off,I need color because my grays are starting to show.See you Wednesday.

Today was a really good day!The weather is really nice here in ohio.almost 80 degrees.That's really good just coming from winter.My non-stress test went excellent.(Thank-you Jesus) and my doctors appointment went excellent as well.Finally got to see Reighans face.Me and my husband can't tell who she really looks like,but I love her.I can't wait until my baby shower Saturday!

My baby shower was really great.It was really classy and elegant,but relaxing @ the same time.When i first walked in i couldn't believe it.My sister had the sign in table decorated so beautifully with soft music in the background,with pink and blue balloons.There were round tables decorated beautiful as well.The center pieces were big brown teddy bears,with little pink and blue strollers filled with mints.There were also scented "baby powder" candles with little tags that said "Hillary's baby shower April 26 2008 @ tangier's restaurant,and little blocks that spelled baby.(TOO CUTE)There were menus on every table . The lights were dim.the fireplace was going.The food was devine! It was a buffet style set up,with deli meats,cheeses,sides,relishes,chips,breads,spreads,fruits,etc.My cake was beautiful!It came from leaches bakery (i love leaches)and had strawberry filling and buttercream icing. The waiters and waitresses were wonderful,with our beverages never going empty.We all played games such as baby bingo,unscramble the baby words,and there were door prizes as well.I received lots of gifts,and really enjoyed showing them to everyone there.This made my day and my pregnancy a really blessed occasion.I'm very thankful & grateful for everything!

Today's appointment went really good.The doc informed me he won't be checking my cerclage anymore because i'm at the point where he wouldn't stop labor anyway.This is really scary.I don't know if i mentioned it ,but he doesn;t stop labor after 34 weeks.34 weeks is this sunday.WOW I really want to go until @ least 37 weeks,but i've been blessed this far,so i'll take what the Lord gives me.My doc also said the difference between 34 and 37 weeks is the stay at the hospital.They would let her come home @ 36 weeks.After that me and my mom went to do some shopping.It was really fun.I bought some really needed items.I also had to use their motorized carts.

Just sitting here watching the news.I have a doctors appointment today,and i can't wait.I usually don't blob until "after",but there's really nothing else to do right now.my mother will be here in about an hour&@half.I guess i should take my shower now.

Ok i'm back from my appointment.It's about 7:00pm. Everything went really great! I love my doctor.He is so friendly and he really knows how to make you feel comfortable.He says he is proud of me,and how far i've come in this pregnancy!Next week i will have my strep b test.The next week i will have my cerclage taken out."look out"

Yesterday,had my 35 week appointment,and everything went great!If you haven't been been reading,that's a NST followed by a doctors appointment.I took the strep b test &asked the doctors a couple of questions: "what happens if I go into labor before I get induced and you have a patient?" He told me he will run across the bridge to the hospital to come deliver my baby.That made me feel really special.(although he does that for everyone)I love my doctor!!!!!!!!!! ps...... ? did I mention that next Wednesday I get my cerclage taken out?

I can't believe I'm 9months pregnant already!
