A little about me. I am pregnant with my first child, but I have 3 step children. An 8 year old girl and twins who are 5. So all together we will have 4 children. We found out on November 6th we are having a BOY.. We wanted a boy so bad so that Hunter our only boy would have a brother. Although they will be 6 years apart it will still be neat for him. Our son's name is going to be Hayden. We live in Idaho and love it. My husband is a Marine and I am a very proud wife. Our love story started last November and we got pregnant in July. We are soulmates and couldn't be happier. That's a little about me..

January 15, 2008:

I am now 7 months pregnant and getting excitied to have our son. Our nursery is almost complete. My son is constantly in my ribs now.. He moves alot and gets the hiccups daily. Poor little guy. I must say though its all worth it. Can't wait to hold him. Health wise I am doing good. I started out pre-pregnancy at 110. However due to morning sickness that plagued me the first 3 months I lost 10 pounds. Last appointment which was January 2, 2008 I weighed in at a healthy 122. I would like to keep my weight around the 130 mark if possible :) But with a little over 2 1/2 months to go in the pregnancy I will just see how it goes. I have this rule I don't weigh myself in between appointments so that it becomes a surprise. Usually not a wonderful one though.. I am doing prenatal swim aerobics and prenatal pilates to stay in shape and make my delivery easier.. Hopefully.. Well thats a little update...

January 16, 2008:

So this morning I woke up and felt a weird beat on the right side of my tummy. I layed my hand there and sure enough our baby boy had squished his little body up to oneside and I could feel his actual heartbeat through my stomach onto my hand! I got out my heartbeat monitor to make sure.. I thought this was a pretty spectacular thing to experience! Just thought I would share..


January 30, 2008:

Went to the doctors today for a normal appointment. All went well especially the weight gain. I only gained 2 pounds from the last appointment. The healthy cooking paid off! Hayden is growing just right. Can't wait to see him.. Hopefully next appointment I will get a 4-D ultrasound see I can see how much he has changed from his 18 week ultrasound. Well that is about all the updates. Oh the heartburn is horrible... I can drink water and get it. But its all for a beautiful baby boy so its worth it!

February 28, 2008:

I had an ultrasound today ordered by my doctor to make sure the little guy is doing good due to my measurements being a little under what he normally expected. Ultrasound went great. Hayden is already in the head down position and getting ready to enter the world in April. No wonder it feels like he is rearranging furniture inside me.. Hahaha.. He looked so cute his chubby checks and all... They averaged his weight around 5 pounds although they can't be exact. Can't wait to meet the little monkey..

March 14, 2008:

Went to the hospital today due to having contractions that were 3 minutes apart. I am now 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated. They are not expecting me to carry to 40 weeks hospital is guessing Hayden will be here sometime within the next few weeks. Now I am getting a little nervous because progress is being made. Anxious, nervous and excitied...

March 19, 2008:

Well went to the doctor today for my weekly check up. The only good news was I didn't gain any more weight! Yeah I actually lost a pound. Thank goodness I am starting to outgrow my maternity pants and I will NOT buy anymore.. Other than that the progress is still the same from last week 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Poo on that news :( I was so hoping for your dilated to a 4 and 100% effaced lets go to the hospital :) Oh no this little boy will come when he is ready.. My doctor could see the dissapointment in my face. He asked why the long face I said that was the RUDEST news a pregnant lady could get.. He laughed.. I love my doctor and he gets my humor. So hopefully next week I will have a little more progress :) That's about it..

April 2, 2008:

So today is my last doctors appointment. The doctor has given me the green light! If our little boy doesn't come on his own by this week on Monday April 7th I am being induced as long as the hospital has a bed available... What an amazing journey this has been. I am ready to have this little boy and not gain anymore weight! Today I was topping the scales at 136 the most I have ever weighed in my life. All been worth it though... So my next story will be the birth story.... Yippee

April 11, 2008:

So I had my baby boy on Monday April 7, 2008. He was born c-section at 12:21 pm he weighed 7 lbs 5.8 oz and was 19 3/4 in length. The surgery went well and now I am home enjoying my new baby boy. Very sore from the surgery but well worth it. Cannot describe how much of a blessing it is to be a mother. I have a tremendous amount of support from my husband. Well I will write more when I have time..
