Im finally gonna take a second and type out my birth story!
So, i started having contractions on tuesday at about 2am. wasnt sure they were real til about 330. they started becoming pretty regular, about 10 - 15 minutes apart. My mom woke up for work at 530 and i told her she should call off because i was in labor. she stayed up with me, and finally at around 10am they were 5 minutes apart, which meant it was finally time to call the doctor. they had me go into the office, and when i got there i was already 6cm. and they sent me to the hospital. I was taking my contractions pretty well, and i decided it wasnt so bad and i was gonna try to go natural. At around 6pm the doctor came in and broke my water to move things along. thats when things really started to get intense. contractions were still only about 4 minutes apart, but they were getting really strong and painful, and i decided that i wanted some painkillers. the nurse wouldnt give them to me!! she said not until the contractions were 2 minutes apart because the painkillers would slow down the labor and the doctor said no. I was getting pissed off and finally decided to go for the epidural. THAT SUCKED! i was scared to death of getting it for some reason, but VERY happy i did! they started picotin to get things goin, and about 9pm i was 10cm and started pushing. after 10 minutes of pushing they made me stop because the baby wasnt dropping. he was facing up so his head couldnt drop in the pelvis. thats also what explained all the back labor! it was so terrible. my mom tried pushing on my back whenever i had a contraction, but it didnt work so well. yeah, that pissed me off. so for the next three hours they had me changing sides every 10 minutes to try and get him to turn, but he wasnt. then the doc said that if he didnt turn within the hour then i was gona have to have a c section. i was very upset and started crying. i did not want a c section, especially after 20 plus hours of labor. then, at a little after 1am i started feeling a TON of rectal pressure all of a sudden, and contractions were a minute apart! Dylan turned..THANK GOD! the epidural started to ware off which really sucked, i felt everything down there. the doctor came in and i only pushed for about 10 minutes and he popped out! they handed him to me, and i just broke down! it was such a beautiful experience, somehow! all that pain suddenly went away and i had a beautiful baby boy! it was all worth it! then he was stiching me up..OUCH! finally i yelled and he gave me a local. what a shitty recovery..so glad its over!
