My husband and I had been trying since we got married (6 years ago) to conceive. We had almost given up when suddenly it happened. We are very happy and excited but also very scared. We just pray our baby will be healthy.

Sunday, 13 July Oh wow! Where did you get the vacuum trick from? I will try it. Thanks! coltonsmom -
Thursday, 10 July Kylie is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I have to admit, I was hoping we were having a little girl this time around, but it wasn't in the stars. That's ok, though. The boys will be very close. I have a sister 11 months older than me and I don't know what I'd do without her. You guys will know what the best thing to do for you is, and when... no worries there. I just figured I wasn't getting any younger and if my mom could have my sister and I so close, I can do it too. :) We'll see. hahaha. We're actually moving back up to MA as soon as we sell our house here. We've got no family here and that's one thing I'm going to want/NEED... my family - I'll miss it here but it will be so much better to bring the boys up the way I was raised... with the seasons and lots of family functions to attend and share. Stay in touch!! Cindy - ps... I've never been to Miami but I think it's a lot nicer than Clearwater!! Lucky duck. Bri -
Wednesday, 28 May I'm glad that was helpful. Going back to work is hard. I'm lucky in the fact that I have my own office. Whenever I need to pump I just close my door. Also, daycare is just two miles away. I go there on my lunch hour and feed him. So he only has two bottles a day. One at 9 and the other at 3. He is starting to go longer so I don't know how much I'm going to continue feeding him. I will visit him though. I can't stay away the whole day. Good Luck. I'm sure you will do fine! Bri -
Wednesday, 28 May During the first few months your baby is growing so much. She needs lots of nutrients and in the end they tend to feed every two or three hours. It's very tiring but around three months you will notice that she will start to go for longer periods. Why moms are all considered sleep deprived. There will be growth spurts in there as well. Some women mistake feeding every hour or two for lack of supply, it's not. It's just your baby needing more because of a spurt. Feeding every hour or two will kick your supply into overdrive. My son is six months (almost 7) and feeds every four or five hours. Some days it is every two hours still. But at night he goes a lot longer. There are also days that he is just not hungry. That can be related to a whole bunch of things. Sickness, teething, being overly tired or out of schedule. Usually nursing strikes don't last long. You just keep trying and eventualy she will take it again. Breastfeeding is sooo difficult. I have a friend in Colorado that isn't doing too good with it. She has inverted nipples and is having a heck of time with it. She keeps giving formula so she can take a break and she wonders why supply is going down. I alway say, formula isn't a bad thing. It can be very good. Alway put the baby to breast first and then offer formula afterwards. If your baby is gaining weight then there is no need for formula at all. I hope this helps. The first few months there is lots of ups and downs. After you get through the first three or four months it becomes a wonderful thing. You and your baby become pros at it. Also, as she becomes less of a bobble head it becomes easier as well. HAHA! Get some rest when you can. I'm one that needs eight hours of sleep. I love going to my in laws house because at 6am when Kekoa decides it's time to get up I can feed him and hand him off to Grandma and go back to sleep. I love it! HAHA!
