Sunday, 13 July recovery wise I had a much easier time with my second because it was planned. With the emergency I was exhausted and so was my uterus. Lot's of complications with that one. This one will also be a c-section and so far I'm not nervous at all. Hope that helps:) vanessag7 -

Thursday, 10 July Hi my first was an emergency c-section and my second was ordered by the doctor and now my third will also be one but the first was no different from the second as far as recovery they were both a pain in the butt LOL but I didnt really see a difference hope this helps!!! vanessag7 -
Thursday, 10 July My best freind had a c section and she was disappointed but they will tell you whats best for you aand your baby, try not to be depressed, either way the baby is delivered you will have a healthy beautiful baby at the end of it and you both will be safe, thats all that matters in the end mamatess -
Wednesday, 9 July First of all, you are doing great - the fact that you are posting your feelings and getting support is a big step. Secondly, I have known two women that had gestational diabetes, and there was no major thing for the baby, but they just had to alter their lifestyle a little. (I honestly can't remember details about that, but I remember it wasn't a big deal.) And, think of what a blessing it is to catch it this early - that way you and babe can be monitored and STAY healthy!!! As far as plans are concerned, I am learning (digging my nails in all the way!) to let go of every single, solitary expectation and plan. Nothing seems to be going the way I want it to. But then, I guess it's not about me at this point... grrrrr!

Wednesday, 9 July Just keep in mind that nothing ever goes to plan - that's probably as consistant as it will ever be! :) MALACHIsMOM -
Tuesday, 8 July About plan X. That is one of the things about pregnancy don't be ridgid on a plan. Things can and will happen out of your control, you can have guidelines, but don't get overly dissapointed when you go off course. mommatiff3 -
Tuesday, 8 July Hey I saw your post. Name her what you and the daddy chose, but call her princess beautiful as her regular nickname. Your son would be okay with that Im sure. Thats what I would do anways. Good luck and take care. baby1@38 -
Tuesday, 8 July Hum...Well, I had 2 done early on...one at 6 weeks and one at 7 weeks....she couldn't find the baby at the 6 week one but did at the 7 week one. Go to my VIP page and look at the u/s picture I have on there. It's the 7 week one and it was done internaly and you could see the baby...he was very small then but you could see him. The only reason I can think of that you wouldn't be able to see the baby is that it will be real close up and you might not be able to tell what you are looking at...but you still should see something. Maybe that's why they do it to get closer to check for abnormalities and stuff. I hade what they call a Level II Ultrasound a couple of weeks ago that is a little better U/S machine and they look real close at the brain and heart chambers and check for downs ....maybe that's what they use there for that same thing and the internal just gets a closer look. Anyway...hope it all goes well for you...let me know how it goes! Joy-S -
Tuesday, 8 July You could always nick name your baby princess beautiful & make a big deal out of it! Say things like, her name is Kennedy but our son chose her nick name which is Princess Beautiful!!! Good luck! baby1@38 -
Tuesday, 8 July Why are they doing an internal ultra sound at 23 weeks? Most of the time they just do those early in the pregnancy to be able to get closer to the baby to see it better because it is so small....usually before 9 or so weeks??? kaycie1 -
Monday, 7 July i totally know what u mean about boring other people. all my friends are done having babies, so i have no one to really talk to. my mom likes to hear about it, but its nice to talk to other people. everytime i try to talk to my husband or i try to bring something up, he tells me, yeah u told me already, or this is the same thing that happened last time. even though i know its the same thing as our other children its still nice to talk about it. so anyway, nice to know someone feels the same way i do. hope u are well. Monday, 23 June And are you surrounded by people that just don't understand? For instance, I've had to tell my husband a bunch of times that I don't want to eat out at a restuarant and my mom keeps getting mad that I don't want to spend the more than 2 hours in the car traveling to visit her. so frustrating. Monday, 23 June I don't have IBS, but have something quite similiar and its making pregnancy miserable on me! Had my gallbladder removed 10 years ago but ended up worse off after that. I usually take medication, 4 pills a day, but since pregnant that much medicine gives me horrible constipation and pain. If I don't take it at all, I can't leave the bathroom. I saw a GI doc at 8 weeks pregnant but he said there wasn't nothing he could do since I was pregnant. Now I'm taking 1 pill a day and 3 glasses of metamucil a day. Helps some, but still can't do much. Just going to the store can be a frightening experience these days!! suspectkitten -
Monday, 23 June Hi! Thanks for the message about shopping tips, sounds like a good tip, so I will start having a look around now. It's so hard not to just buy things all the time, but you're right, best not to leave it until we're about to pop I suppose. I just have no idea what to expect with tiredness. Thanks again! jillyzbean3 -
Sunday, 22 June I had an emergency c-section with my first and wanted to try for a vbac with my second. Turns out the doctor had cut me both ways so another c-section. now I'm on my third and just taking it as it comes. the most important thing is a healthy baby, everything else is just gravy! gr82bmommy -
Saturday, 21 June I was positive for Group B with my first 12 years ago. I was given antibiotics and had a vaginal birth and everything was fine. This time around, doc isn't even testing me for Group B...he is just gonna treat me as if I am still positive. I am not worried and plan to have a vaginal birth again. I understand your concern, but I really think this is so common a diagnosis now and the chance of a problem is so rare. I wouldn't worry!!

Thursday, 19 June I get those horrible leg cramps and I know how you feel. It should get better. Best of luck to you. sharondel -
Thursday, 19 June Hi there, yes exact same thing is happening to me (leg cramps) it's quiet painful, i find i have to get up and walk around for a bit till i feel better... hope that helps babyfever -
Thursday, 19 June Yes, i get leg pain every night. My Dad suffers from restless leg syndrome, and when I explained what was happening with me to him, he told me that is what he goes through everyday. I certainly sympathize. I have tried exercising more and that hasn't help yet. I saw where someone recommended bananas, I have also heard that will work. Think I will give it a try. Hope you feel better!
