Week 30:
Week started off great, came back home on 4th of July, few changes around the household. Charles got a new bed, which can recline.....so I am all camped up in our living room, TV, recyliner, bed, table everything is all set. Went for Monday perintologist visit for NST and grwoth mea
Week 29
Went for my regular perintologist visit, What a scare, the U/S tech keeps asking me if I am leaking any fluid and I kept telling her NO, I don't think so. Once the u/s and NST completed, here comes the doctor and said we are going to keep you here for a while. And I asked her, "how long" this while is going to be, she said till you deliver, what a nervous moment.....The only thing she told me that little baby, which didn't grown much have a very low fluids too and we will monitor the things.
I am in L&D, hooked on to all the monitors, not allowed to move, but I requested for bathroom privileges, which my doctors said yes too. all night was in L&D, A very nice nurse, she changed my bed with postpartum bed (much comfertable). Then next day, my doc cames in the morning and said he is big fan of Steroids but due to my GD, he is very reluctant to give me the shots but he is going to consult the perintalogis and neonatalogist .
In afternoon, my doc, orders the bethamon(don't know the whole spelling) steroid shots for me.....nurse comes in with shot, me too scared of my GD, refused to take it, till doc, comes and explain it to me why he changed his mind....but doc is nice, he came later in the afternoon and explained it to me that its good for babies, in case if we have to go for emergency c-section. Took my shot in the evening......around 8:00 had a bad very bad shortness of breath attack......was not able to breath, can't sit or lie down......Nice nurses, they hooked me up with all the monitors in like 2 min, started giving me oxygen. Later Nurse told me that I was turned so pale, that she was so scared that something gonna happen. Well became stable after 1/2 hr, they kept checking my BP and vitals. my dinner time Sugars were 198, well which was expected, was so scared of turn of events was not able to sleep. Next day started, daily checkups/US and NST started. Here comes the afternoon and I refused to take the shot ( was still scared from yesterdays' event), nurse was nice, she said if patient says NO, she just don't force anybody, but this is good for your babies. She called my OB, and my OB talked to me and convinced me that its OK and nothing will happen.....so finally I took the last shot.
Stayed in hospital till 4th of July. And home on complete bed rest. Thank God my MIL is here so don't have to worry about cooking, cleaning or laundry, she is nice and taking care of it all. Seem like the person who is sufferning more from my bed rest is my 6 yr. old, but he is very understanding.
I had almost week stay in hospital, but really want to say Thanks to all the Nurses who took care of me, They were the best and nicest ppl, I am really touched by all of them. God bless them all
