39.4 hours ago Well I just take it one day at a time. Its tough and the lack of sleep is bad and when he fusses and screams then it makes everything so bad.
Hang in there your not the only one out there. They need to have a support group for us moms with colic babies. langiel -
Wednesday, 3 September My daughter was like that between 5pm-10pm. I could never put her down! Even when I carried her she cried too. I thought I was going to go crazy. I just started my daughter on Nutramagen a week ago and within a couple days she was calmer. So I would recommend it of course with your Dr approval. The only bad thing about it is that its expensive! langiel -
Wednesday, 3 September Thats all my daughter did when she was awake. Just Cry,Cry and Cry! Is your daughter formula fed if so You should try Enfamil Nutramagen or Similac Alamentum. They are specifically for colicky babies. Let me tell you my daughter still fusses but it has gone way down since changing her formula to Nutramagen!! She actually is so much calmer and I can set her down without the crying! She smiles more and just seems so much more content. Is your daughter pooing everyday?? My daughter wouldnt and that would make her uncomfortable as well. Now she goes everyday and like I said is much more calm now. I hope this helps! becky468 -
Wednesday, 3 September Sounds like my little Jack. He cries 90% of the time hes awake. Gripe water and gas drops don't work for us. We started today on a different formula called Alementum. Sow e'll see if that works. The doctor said there's nothing you can do for colic but ride it out and it will go away around 2/3 months. It sucks and is hard. The doc did say when you need a break and the baby is screaming their head off and you feel as if your gonna lose it that its ok to lay them in their crib for 15 minutes and go lay down or go check your email read a book or magazine but do something that you like or try to relax because careing for a colic baby is VERY HARD. Good Luck. momof2oneonway! -
Wednesday, 3 September This may sound weird but my daughter cryed alot too (not 90%!!!) but anyways they put her on acid reflex meds. (for spitting up) and the crying stoped too. I stoped the meds for a few days to see if the new fourmala was going to make her spit up and she started to cry alot again. Maybe you might want to mention acid reflex to your doctor. Hope this Helps.

Wednesday, 27 August My son started sleeping in his crib this week and he's doing awesome! he's 7 weeks... although he never actually slept in our bed... he was in a bassinet in our room. I think the longer you let them sleep with you then the harder its going to be to get them to sleep alone. I was so sad to let him sleep in his nursery!! Traviesa -

Friday, 18 July Hi jennifer, thanks for your comment! I am feeling so much better today, not so frantically worried as i was. I was so miserable this week, total loss of confidence in my abilities to do this 'mom' job... but Ainsley has actually been content today and slept... she slept 5 hours last night... and I think the sleep and her happiness has had a huge impact on improving my mood. Funny how a little person can have that much impact on my happiness!!! My milk has been improving in quantity as well. Have yu been expressing with a hand pump? i have one but it expresses at a rate of about 1 drop per 10 minutes, total frustration! The machine at the hospital had a stream going... tried to see about renting one but they reccommended buying, went to store and the machines are much flimsier looking and cost 100 pounds! Definately don't have that money to risk on a dubious looking machine... any suggestions? blessed-in-atl -
