A little about me.....
First of all I'm happily married to the man of my dreams. We have been married since May 26, 2007, and loving every minute of it. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, which has cause me to have fertility problems. But one day I hope to be a MOM. I think that being a parent is such a blessing and I can't wait until the day comes that I'm called Mommy.... Until that day we are just living life and enjoying being married. I can't wait to get to know all of you!

I thought that I would leave an update on how things are going. I got fertility tests done yesterday. I was at the doctor for what seemed like forever and I get the results back sometime within the next week or so. I also have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Which means that I have lots of cysts on and in my ovaries. The doctor is worried about my ability to concieve because of this. I have had Polycystic Ovaries for many years. So hubby and I decided to get the tests done and we are hoping that we will be able to concieve without all of the medications and injections and things like that. Right now we just have fingers crossed for a good result. Wish us luck and I'll update again later as soon as I get the results back. Thanks Ladies!
March 6, 2008 (colposcopy and ovary ultrasound)
I went to my Gyno yesterday to get a colposcopy. This is a procedure where a special microscope (colposcope) is used, along with a liquid that is put on the cervix so that abnormal cells can be seen. Well my Gyno was shocked because there were no abnormal cells at all!!! I was so happy, because just a few weeks ago I got results back from my Pap test that said I have abnormal cells. My Gyno did a few biopsies just to be sure and to be on the safe side. But everything looked good and NO ABNORMAL CELLS!!! I'm so thankful and so blessed!! This procedure wasn't very painful at all. Just some burning when the liquid was put on my cervix, and the biopsies felt like a bit of a pinch. But other than that it wasn't bad. I still have a few cramps today and that's it. I also got an ultrasound of my ovaries. I have quite a few cysts right now. My Gyno and I talked about TTC and I'm happy to say that things are also looking much better there too! She tells me that once I do get pregnant everything should go fine!!! The only problem is that the PCOS will make it harder to get pregnant. It takes longer to get pregnant if you have PCOS. But I have so much faith that when I do finally get pregnant I will have a very healthy pregnancy and a very healthy baby!!! I'm just so thankful that things are going better. We are so blessed!
If anyone has any questions about PCOS or the Colposcopy procedure just message me and I'll be happy to give advice or info.
June 2, 2008 UPDATE
Well it's been a while since I've had a chance to get on here and give an update. So here goes.....Well I went to the Gyno about 5 weeks ago and I'm now taking Ortho Tricyclen Lo, Prenatal Vitamins and an extra folic acid suppliment. She wants me to take birth control because right now my reproductive system isn't healthy enough to try for a baby. So our goal is to get rid of the cysts that I have on and in my ovaries and then to try later on. I'm taking the prenatal vitamins and folic acid because I need them to try to help with the PCOS too. I also need extra folic acid because my regular vitamins that I was taking were "canceling out" a lot of the folic acid. So hopefully all of this helps and one day I'll be on here telling all of you about my baby! I have such high hopes and so much faith that one day my reproductive system will be healthy. Right now I don't ovulate, but the Ortho worked this month and I did ovulate! So at least that's one thing that is looking a bit better. I'll keep you all updated and let you know how things go with the PCOS.
September 4, 2008 UPDATE
Here's what's new with me lately... I went to my Gyno and the Fertility Specialist a few weeks ago. Got an ultrasound of my ovaries and I still have a lot of cysts on both of them. But my Gyno said that I have a few cysts that have gone away. So that's good. I also got my blood work back and found out that I'm not ovulating. The fertility specialist seems to think that I do ovulate we are just "missing" it. So they sent me home with a prescription for Clomid and all of the information to do my BBT (basal body temperature). So as of right now I'm doing BBT and charting all of my temps to see if we can "catch" when I ovulate. If I don't ovulate within the next few months, then we are going to try the Clomid. So I guess that we will see how everything goes with charting my BBT. We have our fingers crossed cause we want so badly for the BBT thing to help me see if and when I ovulate. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes. Any advice that you have for me or any info or stories similar that you'd like to share feel free to comment on my page. I'd love to here similar stories! thanks Ladies!
