Sorry, I signed off last night! Hope you are well, and have delivered that baby! Take care!

I had it with two of mine also( induced) I know the feeling- I have only ever been induced and would be cautious to go to the hospital so Good luck!

Sounds to me like labor!!!! Back labor is very different than normal abdominal labor and feels like cramping mainly in your back with tightening of the abdominal muscles vs the typical abd cramping and hurting. If it has been consistent for at least an hour, I would call your MD and ask should you go and at least get checked out.
Good luck!!!

My doctor made a really good point. I was telling him that we were going to name our daughter Erika and that was the name my husband had picked. This is his 4th daughter and he hasn't ever named any of the babies. (This will be our 2nd) Anyways, he said that both of you probably won't LOVE the name 100% but if you both like it, that's what matters. The name maybe has already grown on him. Hopefully, you will both decide though :) Good luck with EVERYTHING!!

I have two different doctors but they just act like it is an inconvenience for me to be there... I would switch but it seems way too late to do that now. She never really even gives me the chance to talk.

Arguing is completly normal. Men sometimes worry about things they won't tell you about. He may be worried about financially supporting his family and that causes him stress so he yells. Also, with me and my husband, I am so fat and tired right now that I don't ever think about sex, so we'll go like a month and wouldn't have done a thing. And I notice that if we go too long without it, we start to bicker with each other. He's probably just getting nervous about the second baby. If you kissed and made up, don't worry about it. And talk to your daughter so she's not confused. Keep your head up, it's all coming to an end soon!

I can empathize with you with the arguement. My hubby and I had an argument today too. our daughter was front and center row (shes only 2). Being the breadwinner as I am, being out of work (not amaking the money I usually do), being pregnant and hormonal are all contributing factors to why I raised my voice. The bottom line is men do not understand us woman (I dont know if they care to), and that ALL relationships have their ups n downs. Unless it becomes abusive, try to stick it out and remember you too are hormonal. Men my dear ALWAYS are...hehe

Oh and btw...if you are having really bad back pain or feel really sick like the flu then go to the hospial right away cuz that means ur infection is gettin worse. If its just burning and painful then call the doc or wait for ur next appt.

geh8-3-08 - Thursday, 17 July
Thanks for the response! I went to the Dr. today and they want to do an ultrasound next week....so hopefully I will know a little more then. I guess thats even better then an internal! Now about the kidney infections....I am now an expert on them lol. I had a lot of problems before I got pregnant and the past few months have been HORRIBLE. I had to go to the hospital twice and spent 3 days there with a kidney infection. The bad news is that it probably wont go away until the baby is born. The doc will probably put you on a low dose antibiotic once or twice a day till you deliver. Unfortunately the pain and infection will still be there since the baby is laying on the tubes that your urine goes through. When the baby is leaning on them, they get kinked like a hose and the urine gets backed up and causes infection. The only 2 things you can do is have a stent put in which is painful and more annoying then the actual infection or give birth! The doc will probably refer you to a urologist so they can do an u/s on your kidneys or they could do it right at the doc office. They need to make sure your kidneys are staying the same and not getting worse. Then they will do 1 more u/s after the baby is born to make sure the infection goes away. I dont have much advice cuz there really is nothing you can do besides drink a lot of water, take antibiotics, and wait for baby to be born and stop leaning on your tubes! Hope this helps.

tetera - Thursday, 17 July
Assuming that by "baby dance" you mean sex, I'm sure you're wanting this baby to come soon but if you have a kidney infection sex is one of the things that can prolong those and/or make them much worse and much more painful!

mumofsix - Wednesday, 16 July
It wouldn't hurt to ring and just make sure. Better to sort it now than have extra aches during labour.

jeccyka - Wednesday, 16 July
Pain lingered for me but it was so much better than it was. I ended up getting one when I went into labor and I had a fever when she was born. It was horrible.

beckaboo - Wednesday, 16 July
Good luck sweety!

Cute new pic :) I had the smae thing with my daughter. Lots of UTIs and 2 kidney infections. They hurt like hell! I was hospitalized with one and had an iv also. It even caused me to contract. It was awful. But none with this baby.

heavymetalmama - Thursday, 10 July
I have a 4yo little boy and I so know how you feel! He has gotten really bad lately, but I think its my own fault. I give in way too easily just to avoid the conflict. This is bad and I know it, but I hate whining and crying and screaming. He always expects to get something when we go somewhere and finally I have just started saying No. Just because we leave the house does not mean he should get something. A treat should be just that, a treat. Sometimes its rough, sometimes its fine. I figure he will get over it. If he has a tantrum I will just say, fine, bye, and walk away. He usually comes around pretty quickly if he thinks I'm gonna leave him somewhere! But, good luck to you and you are not the only one going through this stuff. It's that wonderful age that to me is worse than the "terrible 2's!!!"

AliciaW825 - Thursday, 10 July
OMG, read ur posting about your 5yr little girl and I go through the same thing every day. I am so tired of her having a melt down if I tell her NO. She has started a new thing about 2 weeks ago where she flops on the floor and looks like a fish out of water, I about loose it when this happens. I feel your pain!!!!

fabforty - Thursday, 10 July
Hey there! We are in the same boat :) I went to the doctor yesterday because I was ahving some contractions, turned out it was just BH and I had not dialated or thinned at all...and the waiting continues :)
