Rest assured that you will have enough time and attention for both your kids. Sometimes it takes a bit of adjustment for the first born as they have always been just the three of you and depending on the personality of the child some adapt quicker than others. New borns sleep so much that you will find plenty of time for no.1. Some little girls love to have a doll that they can pretend to breast feed and if you can involve her in helping with the baby she will quickly accept your newest addition. It's amazing how you can have just as much love for each child, it seems to be an endless supply. I haven't run out yet.
It's different having a boy but I loved it after three girls, boys are awesome!!!

Thank you for your comment : )

hi on the sleeping thing... i m the same way. I fell my right side and back are better than left. But I almost always wake up on my back and it was hurting pretty back last week. I hardly slept for 5-6 hrs. Then last week we bought this body pillow from target and a memory foam top for the mattress. And like a magic, its working. No more back pain. I am also able to sleep on my left side. But right is my favorite :)

MommyXs3 - Thursday, 3 April
HI! I just wanted to comment on the sleeping thing. :) I too have not been able to get very comfortable on my left side and when I was at the Dr. (3/27) I mentioned the fact that I'm more comfortable on my back or even on my stomach. Even my right side is better most of the time. The nurse said not to worry about it and that when my body needed me to sleep on my left side it would tell me. That was a BIG help to me!! I was glad because I naturally didnt' want to cause harm to my daughter but needed to get some stinkin rest!!haha. So, anyway, hope that helps! CONGRATS!!

Hi Jaclyn.
I was browsing through the week 22 message board and I noticed your message on your baby moving and kicking. Just wanted to let you know that the exact same thing happend to me where my baby was super active and then for two whole days there was nothing...except maybe 2 kicks for that period. I went to the hospital and everything was fine. My midwife assured me that it is very common for the baby to be very active and then have a rest because it is worn out from kicking so much. I wrote a blog on my mini-scare that happened to me yesterday in regards to this situation, if you want you can have a read about it in the blog section of my profile. Its funny how this situation seems to happen around weeks 21-22!

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! xxx

I live in Tx and I know down here that our Babies R Us does pregnacy pics and they shouldn't be expensive so if you have one up there you might try looking there if you have a store up there that has a photo studio, cause not all of them have one. I am probably going to go there to get mine done, I'm just not really sure when I want to go, because I'm not sure how far along I should be when I get them done. How long are you going to wait?

carrillobaby - Thursday, 3 April
I am the same way.....my baby boy kicks soooo much some days and others I only feel him a few times throughout the day and it really freaks me out too but I know it's normal. It seems like whenever I'm more active through the day he is also and if I'm being lazy so is he. Hope this helps! Congrats on your pregnancy =)

mcpheefner - Thursday, 3 April
Hi! I just saw your message post about the BH contractions. This is my second pregnancy and I have been getting them since 13 or 14 weeks. They say the come earlier and stronger after your first. They are a pain but I wouldn't be nervous if you have no other signs of any type of labor. Good luck!

becca0x - Wednesday, 2 April
find a modeling site like modelmayhem (im not sure if they have photographers from NJ or not) but im sure you can find one But they have lots of photographers that are looking for certian types of pictures for their porfolios Like maternity and they will do it for free. thats how i found the guy whos doin my pics. (JUST MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT THEIR REFFERENCES FIRST AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE REAL)

Pachy - Wednesday, 2 April
I got wedding pictures taken @ The Picture People, and they are really nice, and it was not that pricey. They also take beautiful baby pictures.

I really don't like to call my doctor either. I'm having some back pain tonight that has me a little crazy so I'm just lying down now. I spoke to my mom briefly last week when she called my son. I had a dream about her last night that she was yelling at me. Talk about creepy! Trying not to concentrate on it but obviously, it's coming out in my dreams..lol. Other than that, all is well.

becca0x - Tuesday, 1 April
Thanks for your comment:) We are due on the same day!!

fabforty - Tuesday, 1 Apr
Same here with the BH. Last week was terrible. Iv'e been better this week and trying to drink h20 but it is hard to keep drinking it all day. It will pass, especially if the stress has passed. How is your situation with your mom?

Mommaxtwo - Tuesday, 1 Apr
hi, as long as baby is kicking, i think you are okay. maybe check for your urin for a small infection?
Congratulations are the pregnancy. don't stress too much!!

GoonieMomma - Tuesday, 1 Apr
What do the BH feel like? Every now and then I get a period-like stretchy cramp, but that's it. Just curious if you can feel it w/ your hand on top of your belly. I know your skin also tightens during labor contractions, wonder if it holds true for BH?

Janice2605 - Tuesday, 1 Apr
Hi Jaclyn, Bh can come because of stress, but also because of not enough fluid intake. I tend to get them more often if hubby and I have a spat, but also if I didn't drink enough during the day. I have a hard time swallowing a whole glass of anything, as baby pushes up on me, and I tend to bring it back up when I burp, lol. Don't know if this helps, but keep an eye on the pink discharge though. If that continues, I'd advise seeing your doc. But, try drinking more first, and see if that helps with the BH.

Thanks! Glad to know I'm not the only one. My doc. offered the downs testing about a month back but I rejected it b/c I didn't want to know. He keeps telling me that he feels like he will have a reason to do an u/s down the road so I'm just gonna try and be patient and keep my fingers crossed until then. In the meantime I guess I'll just sit tight and pray that everything continues to go well. Thanks again!

Jeccyka - Monday, 31 Mar
Thanks for the compliment :) My daughter had a hard time latching on too. The first two weeks all I did was bleed and cry. I used a lot of creams so I didn't dry out and chap and that helped a lot. Even though it was tough I am looking so forward to it again!

mcpheefner - Sunday, 30 Mar
Hi! I breastfed my son for fifteen months and absolutely loved it. I didn't expect to like it so much, but I cried like a baby when he was all done! But it really is great for you, for him, and for your relationship, not to mention your wallet. It certainly isn't for everybody, but if you want to, it is great!

Jeccyka - Saturday, 29 Mar
I breast feed my daughter and loved it. It was cheap first of all, and it does burn massive calories. I didn't exercise at all and within months was smaller than I have ever been in my life. Not to mention the bonding experience and how healthy it is for your baby's immune system. It did hurt a little in the beginning until my nipples became used to it. But some people have no problem at all. Just stick with it. I did it for 1 year and stopped on her birthday.

auburntree - Saturday, 29 Mar
i saw where we have the same due date so i just thought that i would say hi and congrats!!!

missyny - Saturday, 29 Mar
p.s. I read on your page about the spay tan, I use the Loreal Self Tan Gel in Dark. My Dr. said not to use the spray kind, but the lotion is ok. I think he said no spray only because he thought of me breathing it in?? Well, who knows. I have used the lotion on my arms, legs, and face. I got all my test results, baby's great, and I feel it moving at night. So, self tanner seems to be fine! :)

Hi! Congrats on your pregnancy. I took the brochure for the maternity spa. Yes, they do have one in Jersey! It's part of the Destination Maternity chain. The spa part is called Edamame. The address is:
Destination Maternity
35 Plaza East 65
Route 4
Paramus, NJ 07652
(201) 843-7013

This is my favorite maternity store. They have everything, and it's not too expensive, they have great sale stuff too. Well, enjoy if you go tot the spa!
