Hey all!!!! My name is Jaclyn. I am 17 weeks pregnant tomorrow-(2/27/08) This will be my 2nd child. I also have a 4 1/2 year old. I have been married for 5 years and we find out what we are having on March 12th. Anything else you would like to know just ask. :)

Do you have stretch marks?: I have very light small ones on my butt from my Daughter then with this one just a few small ones on my boobs. Nothing to bad though.

Have you heard the heartbeat?: Yes! Its so great.
About the birth
Will you keep the baby?: Of course!

Natural or medicated birth?: I will prob. get an epidural. I feel that it doesnt make you any less strong if you take something.
Who will be in the delivery room with you?: My Husband
Will you breastfeed?: I would like to try. That and do bottle.
Do you think you'll need a c-section?: I hope not.
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time?: Yes.
What's the first thing you might say to him/her?: Ohhh my! HIIII- I love you!
Would you let someone videotape the birth?: Maybe.... Me deff, but the birth its self we will see.
Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: Sooooo EXCITED! Scared a little just because as a Mom you want everything to go smooth.

I have been using the spray on tan every other day and my baby is perfectly healthy right now. She moves all day long CONSTANTLY. I heard it is perfectly okay to do. I dont understand why your doctor would say no????

hi! I just read your post about the baby shower. I think that if YOU really want your mother there, you should invite her and just try to make everyone understand that it is important to you. On the other hand, if you don't want her there, or if it doesn't matter to you, leave her out and avoid the uncomfortable-ness. Don't stress about it though, the baby shower is supposed to be your de-stress, gift getting moment! hope you have a wonderful time and your family is beautiful!

Well if you are super close to your mother in law I would maybe just leave your mom out of this one. It depends if you mind hurting her feelings. Maybe you can do something different with your mom?? Tell her you just want to go shopping one day.?? I'm sure she will still get you a gift reguardless.

I'm right there with you with the stuffed up nose. I had a mild cold two weeks ago and it went quickly but I can't get rid of my blocked sinuses. All the best for this babe.

Hello, say your post and NO nurse practioners can not deliver babies. I am a labor and delivery nurse so I know that for sure. Hope that eases your mind a bit!! :o)

Hi, thanks for your rep ly. I'm doing great. This is my fifth baby, we didn't plan this baby and were very shocked when we found out we were pregnant. But now were quite excited about another baby plus my other children cannot wait until it arrives. I am keeping really well and enjoying the pregnancy as much as I can. I hope everything goes well for you and enjoy it - only 19 and a bit weeks left.

Exactly! Yeah it can be tough to find them. We have an aj wright up here in Boston and they carry a load of the stretchy pants, all different kinds of colors too. They've been my lifesaver. They have a bunch of cute baby clothes too so I've been in there like every week! Lol. Good luck finding cute stuff! I will keep you posted and you do the same!

Hi Jaclyn. I think if your husband's ok with Anthony and the only thing bugging you is the ex boyfriend thing, don't pay too much mind to that, once you see your baby boy you'll only associate the name with him and with you all liking it, not the ex. Hope this helps. I called to speak with my doc so someone should be calling me back, I also complained about the other doc who made the negative comment on Friday. I'll keep you posted on what they tell. Let me know if you change your mind about Anthony :-)hopefully you don't unless it really bothers you.

You're welcome! Yeah it's been great being the baby having a baby! I've been getting the royal treatment! Especially because my niece and nephews are 16, 14 and 12. It's been a while since there's been a baby in the family so everyone's really enjoying it! Lol. Yeah the jeans are not easy! If they fit at the waist the legs are to baggy. I've been sticking to the stretchpants and minidress look. I love how it looks with my baby bump. I just took up knitting so I can't wait till I can knit some stuff that fit well! Lol. Have a good one!

Omg, what a cute little girl you have! That's an adorable pic of you guys! Yeah the fashion really is accomadating!lol. I don't know if it has something to do with the celeb baby boom going on or what but I'm happy! My sisters coined the term, they haven't seen me since I started to show so they kept saying EGG HUNT! And reaching for my belly. It was too cute. They're really excited since they both have kids and this is my first. I'm the baby of the family so it's a big deal in their books. Lol.

Hi Jaclyn, thanks for your comment. I'm definitely talking with my doc. Since my appt was last Friday, I called her office today, but didn't get a call back. I'm not far from paranoid myself, and the comments have just gotten to me. I want to know if things are either good or not. It's one or the other, and i'm the pregnant one who needs to know what's going on. My other doctor is in the West Village in Manhattan and has hours that don't work for me since I work full time. But these docs are at a reputable hospital, so what's the deal? I'll keep you posted. I'm happy and trying to enjoy my pregnancy as much as possible, but I need these docs to clarify what they're saying & I want to know if they tell all mothers this, because if they do, there must be some more mom-to-be freaking out too. Congrats on your baby #2, are you having a lil boy this time around?

My daughter is beautiful and has been such a good child I guess I was hoping for exactly the same!! haha!! We have already decided on a name 'Aaron', nice and strong we reckon!! Hey Jaclyn, I loved the name benjamin. If we were having a boy I hoped we could consider it (we are having a girl). My husband said no way because my ex boyfriends name is ben. If your husband doesn't care and you both like the name then it shouldn't matter. That boyfriend is ancient history that has nothing to do with your new child! I say go for it.

Hmm I think as long as you are comfortable with it then go with the name. I think once your little boy arrives and he becomes a person then the name will become his not your ex's. It is a cute name and he could be ant for short too.
I did one of those name voting things on this site and the only two names I like Jonas for a boy and Mina for a girl were given the thumbs down by the audience. Oh well!

No i dont have anything in place of my belly ring right now. I just took it out because i thought i should. It wasn't bothering me at all. Maybe i should just put it back in and keep it in as long as i am able to. I don't want to get it repeirced! :o)

Hi, I'm going through EXACTLY the same thing with my husband re names. He has a problem with all of them. This weekend I'm going to lead him to the computer, sit him down, open up different sites of baby names, and not let him leave until he has made at least a list of 7-10. It's got to that point!
