model2mommy - Tuesday, 4 Mar
Lol..yes that is how i felt...and then she's French so today her accent was really bothering me...!!! Normally I think it's cute but not today!!I was really upset. This would've been my 2nd ultrasound..the only thing I got today was the heart beat which is what I have to hang on to for the next 3 weeks...(sighs)

lmateobonilla - Tuesday, 4 Mar
Your BB's must be preparing for breastfeeding and maybe soon the colostrum will start to show. Don't freak out, it's normal. I hope this helps. Take care and congrats on your baby!!!!

Just don't go crazy with too much green tea... I read that green tea has epigallocatechins which is usually very good, but in pregnant woman too much consumption can cause neural defects...Google it.. Don't get me wrong limited amount is fine... But I use to only drink Iced Green Tea so I had to limit it...I think something is going around b/c I had ear aches and my throat hurt also for a few days... Mostly my ears though...Wed cant come fast enough for you...At first we were really hoping for a girl, but as it's getting closer to finding out I'm preparing myself for a boy...I hope your not stuck at work on a day like today!!

GoonieMomma - Monday, 3 Mar
haven't heard that about green tea. I've been drinking a white tea/rooibos blend. Doesn't have the tannins that can interfere w/ Iron absorption (and I'm on the border of anemia). Took some getting used to, but I LOVE it on cold mornings. I've accustomed to room temp water, but don't enjoy cold stuff. Try drinking Klarbrunn if you don't like plain water... like soda w/o the sugar. Can also add like a teaspoon of lemon juice to your cup of water- Vit C isn't bad during flu season!!

Folic acid is extremely important in early preg, but from my understanding doesn't affect neural tube development in 2nd trimester. Call your doc! Maybe at this point the water's more important than the folic acid is!

erica1174 - Monday, 3 Mar
i read somewhere green tea consumption make sit hard for the body to absorb folic acid-which i guess is pretty important to a growing baby-red rasberry leaf tea is supposed to be really good for uterus strength if you want to consider switching

kristy4994 - Monday, 3 Mar
Hi,
I am having trouble with plain water too for some reason. I am loving iced tea. I just wanted to let you know that green tea slows the absorption of folic acid. Someone told me this at 10 weeks after I had been drinking it daily through my pregnancy. You might want to read up on it though, there seems to be a lot of don'ts out there... You never know what is real or not these days.

FirstTimePreggersNJ - Monday, 3 Mar
We have to sign some legal documents 'in person'..We have some properties there. I have know idea why the beds are so hard there but its terrible...lol Greece is great but I would never want to recieve any kind of medical attention there...LOL especially in some areas...They dont have specialty dr's like we do...especially out of the city...I doubt the dr will let me go...I think if it was somewhere close like Florida he would but not a diff. country. When do you find out what your having?

FirstTimePreggersNJ - Monday, 3 Mar
He says 30 also... But I'm only at 15 weeks so I guess he's concerned since the real weight gain is later...My husband just threw at me that we have to go to Greece in the beginning of June...But I dont think my dr will let me go...Nor do I want to fly a 10 hr flight and then a 3 hr drive after we land...lol and the beds are like plywood...I guess he will be going alone

M3G4N - Sunday, 2 Mar

I find out March 11th what I am having :) Good luck!!

wedward - Sunday, 2 Mar
Yes, I get braxton hicks almost daily. It is our body's way of telling us we are not drinking enough water. Drink your 64 oz a day and it should cut them down or completely out. For me it is hard to drink so much because I'm constantly in the bathroom!!!!

FirstTimePreggersNJ - Saturday, 1 Mar
Hey, I went to the dr's on Thursday. He wants me to come in every two weeks to monitor my thyroid. (I'm gaining too much weight...15lbs UGHHHHH) I scheduled my U/S appt to find out what we're having for April 3...Unfortunately my hubby can't go...So for his b-day I am surprising him with one of those 4D U/S the weekend before so we can find out together...How's everything with you?

anthrleo - Saturday, 1 Mar
ugh, my husband has HORRIBLE taste in names. Especially girl names. Everything he likes sounds like a seedy character from a daytime drama. I am hoping his interest in naming the baby will fade. Is your husband adamanent about his choices?

junecleaver - Saturday, 1 Mar
No I am not finding out, I love being suprised. Even though it's nice to be prepared.

Heather-08-01 - Friday, 29 Feb
Wow, they are only running my blood once - they drew @ 16w5d (Wednesday last week) - found out on that day we are having a boy!! I put the pics in my photo book if you want to look.

Heather-08-01 - Friday, 29 Feb
Thanks for stopping by on my page to relate. It's so nice knowing we aren't alone in this journey =) I know you must be getting super excited about your u/s - it's going to be amazing. How long did it take for your test results to come back in? They said 10 days on ours, but I'm not sure if that's 10 business days or just 10 days. Doesn't really matter because my Dr's office is closed on Fridays (must be nice). Keep me posted on everything.

junecleaver - Friday, 29 Feb
Thanks for the comment. I can't wait for these headaches to pass. Hope they go for you also. are you finding out the sex?

donnamarie - Thursday, 28 Feb
Thank you for your advice, gosh I just wish I could take all the meds I used to :( but I cant, oooh boy well i have been drinking like crazy, juice water, etc...

tamian - Wednesday, 27 Feb
Well I am with you on the peeing front. I pee at LEAST five times in the middle of the night. I should just take a pillow and camp out in the bathroom! Good luck!

igobyjade - Wednesday, 27 Feb
Thank you! I will let you know how it goes tomorrow. I'll be the 17 weeks tomorrow. You are right, I think we just work ourselves up. Some of my girlfriends have told me that you can tell pretty early on if there is anything wrong. Thanks again for your words of encouragement. :)

weav623 - Tuesday, 26 Feb
Well, I had a bad stomach bug and crazy headaches for a few days, and was able to take tums, benadryl and extra strength tylenol. It was awful, but no fever. I just had to go to Urgent Care this saturday because I thought that I had Strep, and was afraid my low grade fever was going to get higher. I got tested and thankfully only had an upper respritory infection. They gave my amoxicillion and my Dr. approved it (thankfully)! So hope this helps a little. I feel like with the morning sickness and all of this, that is all I have been feeling!
