About Me
my name is Jessica. I'm married to my best friend aka the best man in the entire universe! We've been married for 2 1/2 years. It took us some time to get this baby, so that makes even more special. we went through 3 early miscarriages in a year, to find out that ALL I needed to have a baby is PROGESTERONE. I truly believe that prayer and progesterone is the only thing that has got us this far!
*****My Pregnancy Story*****
In January 2006 my husband and I decided to try for a baby. I got pregnant for the first time in just a month! I miscarried at 5 weeks exactly! My doctor said that this is common and to just try again. I didn't get pregnant until Oct 2006, when again I miscarried at 5 weeks exactly! I took this one the worst! I felt so alone. My doctor then did a few tests and they all came back that I was perfectly normal. My husband and I decided not to "try" right away. We wanted time to heal, and the holidays were coming up, so we just put ourselves around are family and friends. In Jan 2007 we went to Vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday. (Of course we weren't trying to get pregnant at this time, we were going to wait till' we got back) but we got pregnant in Jan and had a miscarriage again at 5 weeks. My ob/gyn still didn't want to refer me to an infertility specialist. So I got the referral from my primary care doctor. We had our first appointment in March 2007, and my husband and I both went through all these tests and it they all came back normal, but he did have some concern with what one test revealed. It looked as though my left tube was blocked and it COULD be from endometriosis or it could be from the dye that's used on the test. So the plan was to get me pregnant and if that wasn't successful in 3 months I was to have surgery to remove the endometriosis. So I was on all these shots and pills and I couldn't get pregnant. During this time I asked like every appointment if I should be on progesterone, and he kept telling me no, not until I got pregnant... then at one appointment I saw the nurse practitioner and asked her about the progesterone. and she gave me a prescription for it but told me NOT to fill it until I got pregnant.(I still don't understand why she even wrote it out) 3 months passed and I scheduled my surgery for sept 26th 2007 with my ob/gyn. I filled the progesterone prescription and started taking it in aug. my plan was to take it days 14-28 of my cycle unless I got pregnant and then I’d continue until week 12 of pregnancy. I got pregnant that month and haven't had any problems! So basically I trusted my gut feeling and it turned out that I was right! Oh and a little strange fact my egg came from my left side, meaning there wasn't a blockage all along and I would've had the surgery for no reason what so ever!

Yes I did and they have increased. The doc's exact words were "beautiful!" I go for another check-up May 15th and that's when I'll know my duedate. She's keeping me on them until my 12-weeks which is early June and I'm fine with that, as long as they are working and the baby is ok! Thanks!

awww that does suck! and you HAVE to go lol because your hubbys in it huh?
Well he didnt check me...he said he would next week since I just got checked sunday/monday:@:@ that pissed me off but whatever...I asked about the weight thing and he said maybe 6 pounds max..but he also said thats just from the measurement of my belly but that he could be a pound or 2 off and its not really an accurate answer just a guess...my hubyb was like..so shes still going to gain a pound a week:O and he said noo at her rate she wouldnt gain more than a half a pound tops a week...so I guess atleast she wont be more then 7 1/2 pounds lol...with my luck she will come out a 10 pound baby!....
Then I was like...well I need an idea of when we THINK based on my history with her and how shes growing and yada yada on when she will come out...hes like well I do feel very confident that she will definitely be here BEFORE the due date, and he said we would discuss it further next week, and that we can set a date a few days before my due date for an induction, and that if I dont make it thats fine...but atleast I will have an idea of when to tell my family to fly out here! I really just want my baby out too:( and you are like 9 days ahead of me so I have a little to go..UGH! haha and this HEAT...man oh man...I dont remember hurting this much till it got this hot out!

well at 25 weeks he guessed between 6-7 pounds at full term...but I want a better update LOL...I have a drs appt this afternoon so I am going to ask him about that...he said that my belly is still measuring small last appt so that he still thinks she will be a smaller baby...not an 8 pounder...so watch her come out 9! lol...I REALLY want to know though!

My doc said everything else is fine, inlcuding my HCG (or HGC? LOL!) So hopefully this test will come back that the levels have risen and I'll know that's all it is so I can continue to take the meds. I'm so thankful for this site! Knowing that women share similar situations and everything turned out fine is really helping to ease my worries!

I'm sorry for you losses! :( I've never had a m/c and this is my very 1st pregnancy so I'm terrified! My doc said my progesterone levels were drifiting- I found out at 5 weeks I was pregnant and took the progesterone test 2 days later- that's when she noticed that they had drifted so she put me on 200mg natural suppositories, once a day at bedtime. I went for another test today to see where my levels are. Hopefully the suppositories are working as they should be. Any encouragement would be very much appreciated! And many CONGRATULATIONS to you and your hubby!! :)

yuppers we are fine...he just thought it was too early...he thinks she will be a smaller baby and he wants to atleast keep her in till 38 weeks..I cant wait though...I am SOOOO tired of being uncomfy!

Thanks for the comment. I think my blood pressure has been fine, they check it every appointment and have not even brought it up. But I'm definitely bringing it up on Thursday to my doc. Thanks again, hope you're doing good :)

OH man, I wish I could know and set a date for her to come, I have to wait until my Drs appt on Thurs. though..but YAY for you! How exciting!!!
and as for me....my little girl might show herself sooner than we thought:|..
I spent the night in the hospital, I went into labour and the Dr decided that he wanted her IN me another week so he was able to stop the contractions. Ha I thought for sure I was about to have a baby, but he said if they come back before Im considered full term (before she is), then I will get another shot, which full term will be Tuesday for me, if not then we let them ride out! I am 2 cm dilated and we are just waiting on her to decide what she wants to do! But after I am full term on Tuesday any day is considered healthy for her if shes ready to show herself...so we could have our baby girl sooner than we thought!

i had one thurs and the next one is this thurs i believe too...does your doctor think that you will have her early? Mine didnt check me this last appt, he said he will check me this week, and if he forgets you bet Ill remind him...its soo stinking hot:( Im dying, I am just SO ready to be done! 37 weeks is full term and anyday is fair game after that and thats tuesday so hopefully she wont be stubborn, her and I are going to have a long talk! I think shes probably just moody because we havent completely settled on her name, we are pretty much waiting till we see her!

yes I have:( Alot more lately...and they seem to be getting more painful! I thought that they werent supposed to be really PAINFUL but more annoying...I had a set the other night that almost brought me to tears:( The doctor said that it just depends on the women though but that they can be painful...
