About Me
my name is Jessica. I'm married to my best friend aka the best man in the entire universe! We've been married for 2 1/2 years. It took us some time to get this baby, so that makes even more special. we went through 3 early miscarriages in a year, to find out that ALL I needed to have a baby is PROGESTERONE. I truly believe that prayer and progesterone is the only thing that has got us this far!
*****My Pregnancy Story*****
In January 2006 my husband and I decided to try for a baby. I got pregnant for the first time in just a month! I miscarried at 5 weeks exactly! My doctor said that this is common and to just try again. I didn't get pregnant until Oct 2006, when again I miscarried at 5 weeks exactly! I took this one the worst! I felt so alone. My doctor then did a few tests and they all came back that I was perfectly normal. My husband and I decided not to "try" right away. We wanted time to heal, and the holidays were coming up, so we just put ourselves around are family and friends. In Jan 2007 we went to Vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday. (Of course we weren't trying to get pregnant at this time, we were going to wait till' we got back) but we got pregnant in Jan and had a miscarriage again at 5 weeks. My ob/gyn still didn't want to refer me to an infertility specialist. So I got the referral from my primary care doctor. We had our first appointment in March 2007, and my husband and I both went through all these tests and it they all came back normal, but he did have some concern with what one test revealed. It looked as though my left tube was blocked and it COULD be from endometriosis or it could be from the dye that's used on the test. So the plan was to get me pregnant and if that wasn't successful in 3 months I was to have surgery to remove the endometriosis. So I was on all these shots and pills and I couldn't get pregnant. During this time I asked like every appointment if I should be on progesterone, and he kept telling me no, not until I got pregnant... then at one appointment I saw the nurse practitioner and asked her about the progesterone. and she gave me a prescription for it but told me NOT to fill it until I got pregnant.(I still don't understand why she even wrote it out) 3 months passed and I scheduled my surgery for sept 26th 2007 with my ob/gyn. I filled the progesterone prescription and started taking it in aug. my plan was to take it days 14-28 of my cycle unless I got pregnant and then I’d continue until week 12 of pregnancy. I got pregnant that month and haven't had any problems! So basically I trusted my gut feeling and it turned out that I was right! Oh and a little strange fact my egg came from my left side, meaning there wasn't a blockage all along and I would've had the surgery for no reason what so ever!

Everything went well..he told me to stop walking as much and take it easy lol...I didnt think I was doing it that much but owell! I asked him about the U/S and he said that he was thinking 37/38 weeks just to check up on her...but what if I had her early! He said he can tell from where her heartbeat is that shes still head down and that shed have to be a giraffe if shes not...lol.
I have my baby shower on Saturday...I feel like I am having it soooo late...but it's really the only date where I could safely get EVERYONE together lol...Im excited though! It will be fun!

Hey! Well I am glad that everything is okay! Its closer and closer to that time so I was just checking! That is SOOO cute about the hair haha...I have a drs. appt this morning so I am going to ask if we can have one more u/s...he had mentioned one more maybe a month ago but he hasnt scheduled us for one so we shall see. I want to see how much she ways...really I just want to see her haha!
Have you done a B-strep test? I keep hearing about it but...I havent yet and Im not sure when you do?

The Pretty PJ Myth
Some people will tell you to bring cute pj's to the hospital, you know, for photo ops. Where do they think you're going, on a spa vacation? Here's what you really need to know about what you'll wear in the hospital:
• Don't spend an afternoon shopping for the 'perfect' pajamas. Our tip? Most people are in and out in two days, so just wear the standard-issue hospital gown -- you won't care what happens to it, obviously, and the first couple of days after delivery are a little, um, messy.
• Don't leave the pj's at home, though -- in case you end up with a c-section and have to spend several days in the hospital, you'll want something else besides hospital duds to lounge in. But don't opt for fancy. You want comfy -- that means loose-fitting and un-fussy.
• More on style? You'll need access to the boobs, so get loungewear with easy-to-undo buttons or something in a stretchy fabric you can comfortably hike up or pull down.
A handy checklist to help you remember the essentials.
When the times comes to go to the birthing center or hospital, every mom wants to be prepared. The last thing you want to worry about is whether you've forgotten baby's first outfit or snacks for Dad. We got our babys first outfit to go home in and a little hat and mittens...soooo cute! I still am unsure what to get for her first hospital picture outfit...like if i should dress her up mildly or what...i have TONS of clothes too...so its a rough decision...I just bought her going home outfit last week!

that is really weird! I'm glad that you are doing better now! We went up to disney world and stayed at the polynesian resort right next to magic kingdom... it was really nice... we went to 3 different parks and on sunday we stayed around the hotel. We got a couples massage and facials... (he got aromatherapy massage and i got a mommy to be massage.) It was really nice... The nursery furniture got here yesterday and we set it up last night! I just want to stay in there all the time! I think i am gonna go to babies r' us and get the matching curtains and stuff like that. I will take pics once i have the room put together a little bit better.

i'm doing well... a little tired from vacation... but other than than things are good. did you call your doc about the cramping??? It could have been braxton hicks contractions... What's new with you these days??? where do you find your backgrounds? I want a cute one!!
