I can finally start updating my profile! My Mac would not support this sites program so it would not save any changes. Anyways, I am pregnant with my second baby! My first, Lilia Mae, was born March 16, 2007. She was only about 6 months old when we found out we were having another baby. I was not ready but at least I have these 9 months to prepare myself. At 20 weeks we found out we are having a little boy. I can not begin to tell you how happy his daddy was. He screamed when I told him. I am trying to get Lily used to the fact that she is going to be a big sister. We pretend that her baby dolls are real and she is gentle with them one second and the other she is trying to rip its eyes out. I don't think at the age of one she quiet understands being gentle.

Dan, my daughter, and myself were just starting house shopping when Dan's mother passed away unexpectedly and that day she passed we had to move in with his dad and take care of him. It has been hetic and I would love nothing more than to finally have a house to raise my family but I am trying to look at the positive of things. We don't have much room at this house because it is just a lake house meant of a two person family so half of my stuff is either in storage or still sitting at my town house needing to be moved out. I just gave my two weeks notice at my job. They wanted to cut my hours and with the money I would make it would all go to daycare and leave me with nothing...so since I can not find another job at 24 weeks pregnant I am about to be a stay at home mom. I hope I don't run out of things to do with my daughter...and I hope my father in law does not drive me crazy all day long. He is notorious for telling the same story 20 times.

This pregnancy has been different from my first. I was sick but not as sick as I was the Lily. I did not gain any weight until the last few months. Now I have gained about 10 pounds or more. BLAH. Dan and I are finally getting married on Oct. 11th so I don't want to be a huge marshmellow on my wedding day but oh well if I am I just want to get this wedding over with =). I changed doctors with this pregnancy as well. My last doctor made me always feel like I was a baby and that pain was all in my head. LIly was a 9# baby and came out face up so I was in labor for 2 days and pushed for over two hours with no progress. When she came in the room complaining that I was keeping her from her dinner she looked at me and said I had wimpy pushes and I needed to do more. Anyways, before I go on I want to wish you all luck and I will try to update again within the next month! Enjoy your pregnancy if you don't....it will just take that much longer til it ends.

I was in the same boat a week ago. I literally thought I was going to die. I was shaking all night long and my fever was 102. The antibiotics helped me along with alot of water and ibuprofen. I wanted to give up too, but I made it through it and you will too. I hope you feel better really soon!

littlecavalier - Monday, 18 August
I am so sorry to hear about your horrible mastitis!!! I would demand iv antibiotics until your temp goes down or is gone. You might need to be on them for at least a few days as your mastitis was untreated for so long. I know that breastfeeding is the last thing you even want to think about, but I promise that after you get better you might regret giving up. There are herbs you can take to help prevent it from happening again. If you are interested I'll look it up for you. Do you have a family doctor that could admit you to the hospital instead of going through the er?

BEBEBUMP - Monday, 18 August
i also had masitis... i feel your pain sister! it was awful. it will get better. i pumped through it. it sucked but honestly if yoiu get the milk out it feels so mucg better! and the antibiotics should start to work asap

*babylicious* - Saturday, 2 August
Thats great to know! I'm really hoping mine will be the same!! Either way though, I guess it will all be worth it in the end! Congratulations on your new arrival!! Well Done!!xxxx

I had the same thing happen to me after I had my baby. The nurses told me it was perfectly normal and that more than likely it was blood that had pooled up inside you and when you stood up it all came rushing out! But like the person before me said as long as your not soaking up a pad in a hour you should be fine! Also try to take it easy because I didn't and I ended up bleeding longer. (I'm not the type to sit around!) Good luck!!

knockoutmom - Saturday, 2 August
hey! im 8 weeks postpartum right now but around week 3 or 4 i had stopped bleeding for a few days then had a huge rush of bright red blood also. it freaked me out soooo bad! after a few days it subsided but it still had me worried. i asked my doc at my 6 week checkup and she said it was perfectly normal. as long as it isnt soaking through a pad in 1 hour for a few hours straight. good luck!

oh yeah. don't forget to bring yourself some gatorade too....not only will it keep you well-hydrated, but the sugar will help your energy level.....

dasha - Saturday, 19 July
everytime I go ooooooooooo from it, my darling husband reminds me that labor will be more painful....and then i remind him that apparently contractions don't feel like that, and that I'll still be able to handle it...besides, I had a ruptured cyst on my ovary a few years ago, and everyone I know who's had one of those and kids insists that the cyst is more painful....

MommyWonder - Saturday, 19 July
I'm getting the same shooting pains. I hope this is a good thing because I'm on my last day in week 38. I don't want to be pregnant anymore and yes, my baby moves a lot afterward.

cpalmer - Saturday, 19 July
it makes them stronger to walk around!! i can barely do it! and they have been coming every 5-10 minutes all day but more worse now then before, could i have made progress??

marion - Saturday, 19 July
I've had those same pains. They say it is round ligament pain. Mine feels like an electric shock. Oooh it kills.

dasha - Saturday, 19 July
I had and do have the same thing most evenings, but on my side the bath seems to calm him down...its apparently just the little guy burrowing himself into position, which puts strain on the pelvic ligaments, and also can be your cervix opening up. if it feels like someone's got a knife up your wazoo and is wiggling it, then thats what I've got too...i had an abortion back when i was 19, and still remember the feeling of the ___ they put in to force the cervix to dilate, and this is what it feels like, altho we've got it for real, and its a hundred times worse now.....

mommy-of-3 - Wednesday, 9 July
Oh I see, so maybe it's not so bad then. I'm just wondering because my doctor said he was going to sweep me once I dialated a little more, I'm only at a 1 right now though so I think he wants me to be a 2 or 3...

mommy-of-3 - Wednesday, 9 July
Were you dialated at all when they did the sweep? That's sounds awful if it just put you in more pain and didn't even bring on labor...

sharra - Sunday, 6 July
Hi, thanks for your response. I am glad you are doing well on it. Yes, any day now.....I am already for week 37+. Take care, I hope you have a fast delievery!

sharra - Sunday, 6 July
Hi, how are you doing? I read an old blog on your use of Omeprazole and wanted to ask you some questions. Did you breastfeed? Did you have to stop taking it before you gave birth? I too have been taking it for years and find it is the only thing I can take without major sideeffects. Are you excited for the next couple weeks? Any good contractions yet. Thanks for your time.

carolynjh - Tuesday, 1 July
Thank you so much for the supportive comment, I always defend my hubby to my family b/c they think he's kind of hard on me, but today I just really feel like he needs to back off. It's partially my fault for acting like I can do everything in the world myself. Anyway, keep in touch, we can keep each other's spirits up

imamommy - Friday, 20 June
Keep her on a schedule...that is what i do with my son. I have time for me and him. If you need schedule tips let me know.

carolynjh - Friday, 20 June
OMG, I completely understand! I felt so guilty b/c my daughter watched 3 20min cartoons in a row, she LOVES Dora, Diego, and Blues Clues. I am just so uncomfortable, it's 90 degrees out or raining, and it's really hard to keep her out of the ocean when we go to the 100 degree beach! I think it will get better when weather cools off and we can go to the park and the mall and do more fun stuff, but for now, she is so tired of coloring and making tents I am losing my mind!

mummygabby - Monday, 16 June
thanks!!thats made me feel lots better!!hopefully i'l still be able to then!! x

km-dickson - Tuesday, 10 June
Oh gracious, bless your heart! One of the good things about my son's birth was that I only pushed for 20 min. and he was out! I've been told by like 5 people to check out spinningbabies.com for ways to help move baby into an anterior position, so I'm going to try some of those things! I know I'm only 22 weeks, but whatever I can do, I'm doing!

K
