I met my husband when I was in highschool and we got married in 2005. We decided to try to have kids this year in April. I was on b/c for 7 years. I have been off b/c for 8 months now and I am having really irregular cycles. I've only had 4 periods in about 8 months with some cycles longer than 50 days. It's very frustrating but according to research I'm probably not ovulating. I've recently been seeing my doctor for tests etc. I really hope nothing serious is going on. If you have any advice please let me know :)

My husband and I own a home and we have one cat and one dog :) We love the summer, especially camping, boating, swimming and hanging out with friends. My favourite pastime is reading, especially true stories.

2008/07/18 - So it turns out I am not having menstrual problems. I am pregnant! I had no idea. My last af was May 4/2008 and I did a couple HPT's in June that came out BFN so I thought for sure I wasn't. My doc said I could have just ovulated again in June without af. According to my doc I am about 5 to 6 weeks. So weird that this happened. You can ovulate without af!!! I was right about not ovulating because I'm prego!!!

2008/07/28 - According to my blood tests I am now about 7 weeks. I haven't really had any major symptoms other than sore bbs, some heartburn, sore low back, and peeing more often. Other than that I wouldn't know I'm pregnant. My first doctor's appt is on August 15. Hopefully they will send me for an early ultrasound to date my pregnancy as I have no idea when we conceived.

2008/08/15 - So I had my first appointment today, it went well. The doc is sending me for a pelvic ultrasound to date my pregnancy as my dates do not match what was seen on the u/s in the office. According to my last period I am 14 weeks but according to the u/s I am 10 weeks. It is a very small machine so she had a hard time finding the baby as it is still partly under my pubic bone. It really didn't look like much when we saw it, just like a gray blob but at least we got to see it! I have another appointment in 2 weeks (Aug. 29) as we should be able to see more baby at that time. So relieved that there was a baby in there. The pelvic u/s is scheduled for September 10.

2008/08/20 - Today at work all of a sudden this morning I had some blurriness in my vision which freaked the crap out of me so I phoned my doc and she said it could be the onset of a migraine. Well a few minutes later the blurriness went away and what do ya know, a headache started. I took 1 extra strength Tylenol but haven't had any relief yet. This sucks!!! I was so happy having no pregnancy symptoms but now I'm having migraines. I guess it was too good to be true. Also my acne is so bad I hope it goes away soon! I always hear about everyone having this lovely pregnancy glow but I definitely do not have it. Well that's my update for today :)

2008/08/29 - So I had my second dr's appt today and it went better than last time! My mom and my husband came. The doctor did an u/s with their little tiny machine and my mom and hubby got to see the baby's heart beating!! I couldn't because every time I sat up a little bit to see it my ab muscles would contract and then we couldn't see the baby anymore. I had to lie very still. He took a picture and the baby is measuring at 12 weeks. Woo hoo! So he said my due date is the middle of March which is exactly what I thought. So he cancelled the due dating u/s for September 10 and he scheduled me for my big u/s October 20 when I will be about 19 weeks. My next doctor's appt is on September 26. He also gave me a prescription for my acne which I cannot wait to use! No more zits! Hope everyone is doing well!

2008/09/26 - I had my 3rd prenatal appointment today. Everything went well but I was a bit sad because I went by myself, dh was too busy at work to come. The doctor I saw today is pregnant as well, 8 months, she's very understanding. I have gained a pound which is good. I got to hear the heartbeat which was so amazing and it confirmed that, yes, I am still pregnant. I'm in this stage right now where I'm not showing and not feeling any movement so hearing the heartbeat was just what I needed. My next appointment is in 4 weeks, October 24, 2009. Another 4 week wait! My acne has pretty much cleared up as well, just a few small breakouts here and there. I love my face now!
