I went to my doctors appt on dec 10. The doc checked me out and told me my blood pressure was high and that I was really swollen. He sent me to the hospital and told me that if my blood pressure doesn’t go down that they’ll have to do a c-section that night and if it did go down that they’ll induce my labor the next morning. I got to the hospital around 4:30 pm. Once they admitted me into the triage they checked my blood pressure and it was back to normal. I was really happy cuz I thought I was going to have to have a c-section. At about 9pm they put me in a delivery room. They came in at 11pm to insert the cervadil so it can thin out my cervix and the pitocin the next morning would absorb it a lot better. well instead of just thinning me out it made me start dilating. I was in soooo much pain. The contractions kept getting worse and worse. I begged the nurse for the epidural. They guy finally came in at 2:30. Boy was i in heaven afterwards. All I could feel was the pressure of the baby. The doctor came in and checked my cervix. He told me I was 7cm dilated. I was on 2 when the cervadil was inserted so I progressed a lot in 3 hrs. I was really happy cuz i thought this baby was going to come soon. Well.... he inserted something to check the baby's heartbeat. Her heartbeat would go down every time I had a contraction and he said she had to come out right away. I then started to push but at the rate I was going he said it would take an hour to have the baby. I had to have an emergency c-section. How scary! They took me into the o.r. Thank god I already had the epidural! I could still feel when they sliced me. It didn’t hurt but i could feel myself opening up. Then they had to push her down cuz she climbed up to my ribs. THAT HURT!!! I wanted to cry so bad but luckily my hubby was there to support me. He kept telling me that I could do it. If he wasn’t there I don’t kno how I would have survived it. He really helped me out by giving me strength and keeping my mind off what they were doing. Within 3 minutes she was born. I heard her cry and I was so relived and happy I cant even explain it. It was all worth it. Recovery is the worse part of the whole birth. I was released the 13 th. The nurses and doctors were amazed at how well I was recovering. I still have trouble getting up and moving around. I’m jus happy that she finally here!!!
