Hello everyone! I am so excited about our first baby. My husband and I couldn't be happier or more nervous. I just had another doctors appointment today and she said that we may only need one ultrasound at 20weeks. I was wanting to see our baby before that! I've seen that many of you have already had ultrasounds....how would I go about getting more than one during our pregnancy?!
Our baby will be an Aquarius!

We are now less than a week from hearing our babys heartbeat for the first time! I can't tell you how excited and nervous we are! I will update on the 16th after our appointment. *After only 13 weeks, I can finally eat food and not get sick! Yea!

Got to hear the heartbeat this morning....it was the most wonderful thing I have ever heard! Our doctor said the baby has a strong heartbeat, around 153 bpm. She said the baby was also moving a lot and questioned wether or not I could feel the baby moving, I don't think I can....but then again this is our first and I don't really know what to expect! I have been having what feels like muscle twitches in my lower tummy, but I don't know if that's what I'm supposed to feel or not! =)

It's been about just over two weeks since we found out we were having a boy. It's definately a boy! My husband and I are very happy and proud of our little Cody Lee. I just can't wait to meet him face to face. He's definately a mover, his kicks are getting stronger by the day. We have another appointment in 5 days for a check up and hopefully everything will be status quo again!

I keep losing logs on this page, don't know whats up with that! Anyways, had another appointment today, this time along with hearing his heartbeat, she took out a tape measure thing and measured my belly. She was pleased with everthing. I am finally on the plus side with my weight gain. I am 3 pounds heavier then when I first got pregnant. My hubby and I had bets on how much I had gained...I won. I think he was being nice when he came in with a lower number!

Another appointment today that went fairly well. My doc told me I am measuring ahead of my due date and has scheduled an ultrasound for the 29th of this month to have him measured. Kinda freaks me out to think I may be a mom earlier than expected! I guess it's reality check time, I am really pregnant, I am going to be a mom, and might be a mom sooner than I thought! I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens at my appointment on the 29th....glucose testing done then too....I hear that's something to really look forward to!

The pic posted at the top of my page is of my belly at just over 27 weeks....sometimes I think I can't get any bigger, then I do! Two more days until the glucose test and to see how big I'm measuring again...hopefully I will be in the "normal" range rather than ahead of where I'm supposed to be!

Found out on Tuesday that I have gestational diabetes and that my iron levels are low. I go back in a week from today to do more testing to see how I am processing sugars and to start me on some iron tabs. My guess is that this is the reason I am measuring 3-4 weeks ahead of where I was thought to be. At my 28 week appointment I was measuring at 32 weeks. Crazy! I had my freak out session to my hubby after I got the call with the test results, but now I'm feeling better, still worried about my little guy though.

Had my 3 hour glucose test yesterday, hopefully we will find out the results soon. I am now I what I can only describe as an atkins diet because of the diabetes. Yumm yum! We had an ultrasound and he's looking so cute....they said 3pounds and 4 ounces of happy little boy! He is turned to head down and it's down low!! Still having problems with my bp, doc said any reading with my sys. above 160 or dias. above 100, that I'm going to have to be monitored in the hospital....lets hope I can keep this under control!!

Had another ultrasound yesterday and Cody is measuring a week ahead of schedule. They said he's 5 and a half pounds now and that he will probalby be between 7 and 8 pounds when we deliver. I've been having contractions off and on for about a week now, which the doc says is normal. I don't think I'm gonna make it to February 16th, but we'll see! I'm just happy that our baby is doing good!

Hi! I'm SO glad you wrote me! When they pointed out my sons tilted head to me I just felt AWFUL and wanted to do everything I could to help him. He would scream everytime I did those neck stretches and it was just SO stressful! I had an idea to ask a doctor I trusted... my old chiropractor Dr. Raiffe. I have never been a big believer in chiropractors. But a few years back this guy REALLY cared about my health and never even sent me a bill when I had suddenly stopped going. I remembered that they specialized in babies and children so I called them and asked them to take a look at my son, Jett. They told me he had torticollis and gave him a minor adjustment. ( Not like the adjustments on adults.) very gentle and only one lil adjustment of the neck. His listened to all my concerns and said he really thought he could help. I brought my son in 5 days a week for 3 weeks. Only short 5 minute appointments. His neck was OBVIOUSLY better within the first 4 days!!! Now its 1 month later and his range of motion is AMAZING... heads perfectly straight. :) We still bring him in once a week and hes doing SO GREAT! Its a huge relief off my shoulders and I wanted to let other moms know about this. This office specializes in babies and children and its a totally different kind of chiropractics. They are so nice and really care about children. If you don't live in this area, maybe they can find someone in your area? They will help you FOR SURE. Please give them a call. Its just the 2 doctors and their receptionist Amber. Yes, the bath seat did tend to squish Ryland's "family jewels" and that was another reason I didn't like it. I did fold up a washcloth and place it between his legs, but I think he is just not ready to sit in in yet-

hey there! I have one of those tub sitters and hate it! My guy is 5 months old and I am hoping when he gets a little bigger and can sit better on his own, it will be more useful. Right now he slips and slides around in it and it is more of a pain to use it then to not use it. Did you just start putting your son in it at 6 months? It is a great contraption and I am sure I will love it in a month or so.

Wow, sounds like Cody is doing great! I haven't had her weighed at the drs office recently, but our home scale says she's about 14.5 pounds. She's eating cereal & fruit in the morning & cereal & veggies at night. I usually give her about 4 tablespoons of the cereal, and 1/2 a jar of the fruit or veggies. Haven't tried the squash yet, but she loves the sweet potatoes & carrots. The green beans weren't a big hit. And all the fruit we've tried, she likes. I'll have to start making some baby food for her & freezing it. I always did it with my son, but just don't seem to have as much time now.

I exclusively breastfeed so I don't know how much he eats. Cody was basically the same size at Byron at 4 months! I think Byron was almost 16lbs and 25.5 inches
Byron eats around 6 times a day... 4 times during the day and twice at night. He was quite fat in the first few month but now is becoming more long and lean. les - Friday, 27 June

Thanks! Does your dr ever make u feel stupid for worrying about everything? I think mine thinks I'm crazy and just a young first time mom. After I proved him wrong about there being something wrong with Kam I think I can't go back to him.

Byron was really chubby the first month of life but now he is tall and relatively slim. I think he's around 28 inches and 17lbs... checkup is next week so I am excited about finding out how he's doing.

Well actually my doctor said I was fine and to keep playng just be careful. I had my appointment yesturday and my blood pressure was 119 over 72 WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO finally a normal one.

Yeah i have a desk job but i'm also on a softball team and it feels nice to exercise b/c how sad it is thats only when i get some exercise. I used to run everyday and i have stopped do you think that could be a factor?

Thanks, that is if i can get the help. I understand it would be hard letting people do things that your normally capable of doing. I just don't understand how bed rest would help with the bp, maybe during that time but what about as soon as you get up and start your life again....Idk....
