How`s my pregnancy doing?

pregnancy Hi everybody! My name is Jennifer but I go by Jenn. Anything but Jenny...lol : ) I am originally from New Orleans La. And, yes I was there for hurricane Katrina. She is the reason I am where I am today. Good things did come of it though! I am now married, stepmom and pregnant : ) I am around 28 weeks prego today. I have a few different due dates. I'm going by the one in the middle..August 15th! This is my first baby : ) The baby was shy at the first ultrasound but the dr thought she saw a boy part (60 % boy). My next ultrasound is next week!! : ) I was hoping for a boy...especially b/c I have so many boy things already.

I married my high school sweetheart on Jan. 30th. We took a cruise w/ 28 family members from New Olreans to Cozumel Mexico. We were married at Playa Mia on the beach. It was soooo beautiful and lotsa fun. I still had a blast even though I couldn't drink. My husband has a 6 year old daughter...Aubrey-Anna. She had a big part in the wedding. She is so excited about being a big sis! I tried to get her in to take the sibling class but she says that she already knows everything (just like her dad)...lol.

March 22, 2008

I'm happy to announce that i'm pregnant again! Gabe is going to be a big brother!! The babies will be 15 months apart...so i'm gonna be one busy momma!!

May 24, 2008 :I'm finally over the ms! Thank god! I lost a few pounds but i'm back to my regular weight. I gained 45 pounds w/ my son. I ate anything and everything. This time around i'm going to watch what I eat. Plus chasing a 9 month old will keep me busy busy. He is into EVERYTHING right now. I still can't believe he's going to be a big brother. He was actually a twin and we lost the twin in the beginning of the pregnancy. I'm just happy to have one perfect baby and another on the way! I can't wait to find out the sex on June 2nd! Hopefully baby is not shy. I have a feeling its a boy but my step daughter said its def. a girl. Either way i'll be happy! : )

Its been a few months since i've been on this site. I lost the baby at 17 weeks back on May 27th. It was very devistating and still is. I know God has his reasons and one day i will find out why he wanted my angel up in heaven w/ him. THe baby has another brother/sister angel up there and a cousin. At least i know baby is in the best place!

I love the doppler. I plan on only keeping it for one month and yes I believe that it was worth it. My daughter found it sooooo amazing.

I am in the same situation as you. I have had headache for at least 3 weeks now. I have tried Tylenol and Vics Vapo-steam nothing works! Someone suggested Gatorade, and for some reason it does seem to help. I also ended up on an antibiotic, and a nasal rinse (Nasal med) for my sinuses and since then they seem to have slowed down. I still get headaches but now they are more migraines then sinus headaches. The only thing that worked for me so far is taking 3 extra strength Tylenol at once and soaking my head in a warm bath and lying down in a dark room. Doc keeps telling me that it will go away. Hopefully REALLY SOON!!!!

Thanks Jennba... we are very excited. We have been debating on a few names but I think we'll go with Kian. It's a persian dynasty and it also means KINGS.

Hey! The pain-a-trate smells wonderful! Like peppermint and spearmint. My mom orders it for me and I think she gets it from www.melaluca.com Good Luck!

I agree with you, im more tired more than i was weeks ago. i give you alot of credit, but i think the fact that you have a little one around to chase will help in the end. im so tired by 6pm that i just want to sleep through the night. in the morning i dont even want to g et out of bed. Mykids are definitely keeping me busy with soccer & gymnastics i just cant wait until i get my second wind so to speak.

What a sweet, sweet girl! I hope my son is a great big brother to our next baby. I bet he will be as he has a very sweet personality so far and I think it's all in how you raise them. My husband is like that with our son too. When I'm not looking he lets him suck on pickles which I'm always afraid will upset his stomach and they are so full of sodium for a baby. I already know that I will be the one to discipline as my husband can't even be consistent with the dog!!!

Biting is often times a sign of frustration for little ones because they lack words and other ways to express themselves. It could be that he senses your moods and stress level and he is feeding off of that as well. The only thing really that you can do is catch him in the act and tell him firmly no. I'm not even sure they understand "no" at this age, or at least my son doesn't. When I tell him no he looks at me and smiles, and it's not to be evil he just thinks I'm being funny. He could also be getting more teeth and maybe it feels better when he bites things. If that's the case then try giving him things to bite/chew on. Your son and stepdaughter are gorgeous! I love the picture of Aubrey-Anna holding Gabe, it is truly priceless! Good luck and just try to be patient with the biting, he will outgrow it and if you make a really big deal about it he might continue to do it for the effect.

Hi! I read your post in the 13 week forum and can empathize with you. My MS was better by week 8 and gone by week 10. BUT, my headaches are almost incapacitating! My doctor says there is really nothing she can do or give me, most drugs to help headaches/migraines are considered a C or D drug for pregnant women - not good. She said some women are just prone to headaches, she did say it generally clears up by week 16-18. I have found that pulse point creme from Origins helps me a lot, as does aromatherapy with peppermint and eucalyptus. Also, my favorite remedy has been a product by a company called Melaluca, it is their Pain-a-trate extra strength - my husband massages it into my neck, shoulders, temples, eyebrows and head and it works absolute wonders! I go through a tube a week. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon! Oh - also, I increased my water consumption and that also helped!

At 11 weeks, you might find a doctor/midwife who will try to hear the heartbeat, but if they don't hear anything, it doesn't mean there's a problem - it can be hard to hear, even with a really good doppler machine, until about 18 weeks. Good luck! xxx

Did u see ur baby wiggling??? cause i feel like i didnt and now im worried..I saw the heartbeat but didnt hear it...everyone in week 10 says i saw it wiggle...and i cant remember ! i was just sooo concentrating on the heartbeat...

yeah, we CHOSE to get pregnant again quickly.. i really wanted my baby girl to have a sibling close in age. :) i never had that, so i thought it would be a fun thing for her.

tabatha - Tuesday, 8 April
girl, i'm tellin ya! nobody should be made to push that long,,esp if nothing is happening!..i decided by the end of the 3rd hr that i would just start screaming so the doc would do something...it worked.
i'm really nervous about trying to handle 1 toddler and a baby..gabe was colicky and cried all the time for the first 3 months, he had bad reflux as well..it was really hard. i would just sit and cry with him sometimes lol.

raechelle - Tuesday, 8 April
hi jenn. i am also from the new orleans area ( st. bernard if you are familiar with the area) anyway i have a 14 moth old and i am eight weeks pregnant. my c section scar did not really start to bother me until this week. i wonder if it has to do with the growing uterus. well good luck and tell me if you have any luck with finding out why this is going on. good luck

mrsdemaio - Monday, 7 April
Hi Jenn,
Thanks for writing about the sciatic nerve. It is such a weird feeling.. like lightning. I have been doing stretches though and feel better. I stay away from sitting especially on the couch because that seems to make it worse. You have a really beautiful family, congratulations on your new baby! Keep in touch.
Heather
