NOVEMBER

We were married on Sep. 3rd of 06 and decided to start trying in Nov of 07...since the doctor told us it takes the average couple a good 6 months to conceive...(well it didnt)!I went to Chicago for Thanksgiving and the day I came home my husaband and I had to put our dog to sleep...Jack was very old and had cancer. We were both soooo devistated! A few days later a realised I was late for my monthly, so I went and picked up a test...took it that day thinking no way...and got a BFP!! Well that turned our frown upside down...:) I told Nathan if our baby is a boy we should name him Jack..but he said no we cant name the baby after our dog...hahahaha

DECEMBER

Called and made my first Drs appointment..but they wont see me until I am at least 8 weeks so it is scheduled for January....Told everyone that we were pregnant already..I couldnt keep a secret that big.

JANUARY

Went to the dr's on the 4th...Oh it was great!! We got a first look at our little baby!! and saw his/her heart beating...Broke down and bought some maternity clothes..Yea!!!! 1st trimester is almost over..With The way I have been feeling this is going to be my only child ( I am never doing this again) LOL!!! :) Next appt Feb 1st!

FEBRUARY

So Far so good...Had my appoinment on the 1st! I gained all of 1 lb which suprises me bc I feel like I have gained about 10 :) My blood pressure was great and ..awww!!! Next appoinment is set for the 19th ( I will be 16 weeks) and they will do some blood work to check for downs and other disabilities. I hope all goes well!! I am back from that appoinment and since my last one only 3 weeks ago I have gained 7 lbs OMG that was sooo fast!!! My next one is set for March 18, to have a sono I cant wait!!!!

MARCH

I am sooo excited...had the u/s today and found out we are having a boy!! I had drank some caffine before I went and man that little guy was all over the place..LOL We saw the dc right after the scan and he had some bad news....the baby has a small cyst on his brain :( I was soooo scared.! The dc reassured us that it was alright and nothing to stress over since all my test results were fine..and not to mention the baby looked healthy and weighed about 14 ounces...with a heart rate of 151 bpm. He wants to do another u/s at 28 wks to check the cyst, he says it should be gone by then. My blood pressure was a tad bit high ( I think its just bc I was so nervous) and a lost 1 lb...I cant believe it, no weight gain in a whole month??? hmmmm! My next appointment is on April 15! UPDATE: March 24th noticed swelling for the first time...OMG I had cankles...LOL very scary! I researched it online and took the advice to drink lots of water and lay with my feet up on pillows...It WORKED~!! Bad news it also said once you have experienced swelling it comes and goes the rest of the pregnancy...OH NO!!

APRIL

I went for my 24 wk check up today, and found out I have gained a WHOPPING 9LBS since my last visit only 4 weeks ago...which brings my total weight gain to 17 lbs!!I feel like a cow I now weigh more than my mom LOL. This month has been an emotional rollercoaster for me...I cryed the other day bc I didnt want to go food shopping hahaha....Next appointment is set for May 13! I will get my sugar test and they will do another u/s to check the babies cyst... I cant wait to see little James again! I just hope he is still a boy LOL :)

MAY

May 11th the baby had the hiccups for the first time today. May 13,I had my 28 wk Sono and glucose testing this morning! The test wasnt bad, it tasted like fruit punch with loads of sugar. While waiting an hour before having my blood drawn I went across the hall for my ultrasound. Good news the original cyst is gone....but my child has formed a new one on the other side of his brain!! Everything else looked great...he is already in a head down position and is weighing in over 3 lbs...Now I dont feel bad for gaining so much weight LOL..which by the way is now up to 25lbs. He was opening his mouth and swallowing oh how cute!! The sono said he is measuring a due date of late July I am now getting appointments every 2 weeks...next one is set for May 27th... Well I just got back and gained another 3 lbs, total 28.and my .Blood pressure was slightly elevated. Other than that everything else looks great! The Dc isnt concerned about the cyst at all....and I go back in 2 wks..yea...its almost over...

JUNE

My baby shower is set for June 22nd. I cant wait! June 4th, called the doc bc I was having some pain under my right boob, and was just feeling ill. I decided to go to ER( which by the way took forever I was there from 5pm till 1:30am). They checked my gallbladder, liver, ect...and found that the baby is way high with his butt pushed up against all those organs causing them to be compressed in to my rib cage. HINT THE PAIN! While in there they looked at his brain and the cyst is gone :) they said the baby is measuring a good 3 wks ahead, and is a BIG boy. Turns out I have a bladder infection and they gave me some meds to take care of it. June 10th, had my biwkly visit this morning, blood pressure is staying a little on the high side, Ive gained 1 lb...total so far 29. 6/12 went with my hubby and inlaws for my 4d U/S...It was the coolest thing I have ever done! I cant wait to meet little James...I had my Shower yesterday, and It was GREAT! Everyone showed up and I got lots and lots of cool stuff! 06/24 went to my Dr appointment today....Blood pressure higher than normal....so I was told to come back on Friday for them to check it again... :( I have been at the Drs Office alot this month....06/27 went for my appointment expecting to just get my bp checked and to my surprise...They did my group B testing ...bp was 140/80 so they want to keep a close eye on it. I will now be having wkly visits, and they are going to start checking my cervix!

JULY

7/8 Just got back from my check OMG!! Having your cervix checked was noooo fun! My blood pressure was good, and I seem to be progressing very well. I have been loosing my plug the last few days and am between 1-2 centimeters dialated already!! I go back on Tuesday! Oh and I have lost a few pounds.....so total weight gain so far 29 lbs! 7/15 went to my appointment, b/p was high so the doctor wanted to do an u/s to make sure the baby was ok..He checked my cervix no change since last wk, U/S showed baby weighed about 7 lbs 8oz, and he has lots of hair LOL Later the nurse called me with the results and I there is a problem with my placenta.....I guess it is kinda covering my cervix so they put me on Bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy!! I go in again tuesday but my dc will be on vacation so I have to see another guy ( no bueno) bc I have lots and lots of ???S Bed REST is NO FUN! 7/22 Placenta not covering the cervix THank GOD, my bed rest is caused by my high blood pressure, they ran some blood work today to check my liver, and I have to go back on Friday! No change in my cervix, I am sooo ready for this to be done!

This Has been me...the whole time!! Crying for no good reason!

Hey! Sorry for the long delay in this reply. I haven't been on my baby sites in a while. Has it been pretty slow around work. Well at least you have time to get things ready for your baby!!

I am of course waiting as patiently as I can for us to have a baby. Which is hard when you don't have any patience. But anyways, hope you have been doing well and I will talk with you soon.

hahaha! My husband does the same thing with phone. But then when you ignore them its like a HUGE DEAL. hahaha I am a stay at home Mom. So, i look at it like when i go shopping with MY debit card that money is on because he gets the check, thats also mine as well because i do the job that has to get done at home. You must be climbing the walls. no sex. You tell him to do his domestic chores or you will find somebody who will. Just jokes. I reall believe that the baby feels close to dad during the act. Maybe this information might help, if not tell him that all your muscles down there have stretched and to have a good delivery it is recommended that the man help by having a lot of sexual intercourse.

You can invite whoever you want to your baby shower! I'm sure your friends and coworkers won't mind buying you something and if they did they wouldn't come to your shower. Doesn't your husband want anybody to buy you something? If not then maybe he can go buy everything, hehe. JK. Well I say enjoy your shower with whoever you want!

The no shower thing is odd. Tell him if you dont have a shower he needs to buy all the item you registered for himself then. My husband is so glad he doesnt have to buy EVERYTHING and that people willingly give gifts.

Hey! Just reading your comment. Arent the husbands something at times??? If i were you i wouldnt give him a choice on weather to go shopping with you. I sometimes go alone but usually my dh comes. Esp now. As for a baby shower. YOU GO GIRL! and you GO BIG! If this is your 1st pregnancy or not you have a wonderful time. He doesnt have to be there. You invite everyone, and their mother to that thing. If they cant or dont want to go then so be it. everyone has different opinions on baby showers. This is my 2nd child and i am having another one. My daughter will be 5next month and i am having a boy. Its been a while, and its a different sex. So for the people who maybe dont want to go then they dont have to. But by all means, have one and have a great ONE! Good luck. Husbands get weird sometimes. Try not to stress. :)

Oh! About the baby shower tell him to kiss it! This is all about you and your baby. My husband did the same thing about a shower when I has preggo with Nathan. I gave in and let him have his way. I regret it. So now I am going to try and have a shower with Shane. I guess men just dont get it at all.

Hey! Well I havent heard anything about the 3 hour yet. I figure they will tell me something at my appointment thursday. Maybe I passed it because they havent called me or anything yet. Have you had your glucose test yet? Well, we finally figured out how we are doing the boys' room now. Its going to be all camo, hunting, just out doorsy kind of things. I found a great mossy-oak crib bedding set! I cant wait until I can begin decorating. Only they have to paint first, I cannot be there when they paint because I have really bad asthma. So me and paint do not mix haha. Can you believe we only have like 2 and 1/2 more months left! I am soooo excited! Did you ever hear anything else about this new cyst? Well I guess I better get myself back to work. Ick!

I am glad that the cyst is gone, but why in the heck is there a new one?! Gosh he is already 3 pounds! Wow! Have they got you going every 2 weeks yet? I guess that our little ones are head down explains that pressure and all. Late July is awesome! Bet its because he is so big. Haha Ha ha I gained 60 something pounds with Nathan and Nathan weighed 8 pounds 10 oz. He was pretty big himself. Keep me posted on what the Dr. says about that cyst.

i can understand the worry, but on that too, the reason thats a concern is not because he made a fist, but cause then they cant get a view of the hand as most fetuses with trisomy 18 have missing or extra digits, so i wouldnt stress too much,,, stay positive theres probably nothing to worry about....i had a sister born with it too, hence why they sent me to the specialist when they found them in my pregnancies...she died at 2 days when i was 6...but on her ultrasounds they knew it was trisomy because she was missing two fingers had a cleft lip and palate...one kidney, bladder 1/4 the size, a perforated anus, and a HUGE HOLE IN HER HEART among other things...so dont fret, if there was even a big risk, that the baby had it, they wouldve almost certainly caught it by now...

Hey I didnt actually have it with Nathan, but I was boarderline. I go this friday at 7:30 am to get my 3 hour done. Gosh I wish you luck at your appointment and I pray that the cyst will be gone. Be sure and let me know though. Are you still able to work? Has your Dr. said when you should take leave? My Dr. told me to work as long as I felt like. Wow! Can you believe we only have like 2 and 1/2 months until our due dates!!?? I am getting really excited and really nervous!

Hey you! Hows it going? I had my appointment yesterday, I took the glucose test and failed so now I have to take the 3 hour test. Fun fun.... He said that Shane is head down and weighs 2 1/2 pounds. I go to the Dr. every 2 weeks now instead of every 4. I also had my ultrasound again and he done a 4D! Its so neat! I will put it on my page soon. He was sucking his thumb! Its cute!
