I'm due on April 10 and I am planning to work through April 11 (Friday).

lisaj1001 - Friday, 28 Mar
I'm a teacher also and I am working up til my due date. I have had an easy pregnancy with no morning sickness. My back is getting kinda sore. I am really really hoping I don't go into labor when I am in the front of the room teaching! Best wishes to you.

thanx!

about feeling the baby's head... i had a dr. tell me that when i had my cervix checked when i was in preterm labor, and that was only at 28 weeks! once the baby has dropped you usually feel the top of the head about an inch into the vagina, against the front wall. (sorry if that's too graphic for you) lol. good luck on the rest of your pregnancy and congrats!

thanks I hope it's good news. It's nice to know others are in the same boat. I'm so heavy right now, can't wait for baby to come. Very exhausted all the time also. Yesterday a nurse friend of mine told me period like cramping could be contractions starting, which can start a couple of weeks before the baby comes. Scary!!

Thanks...my doc said I could use the OTC stuff now...have you heard differently? To be honest, yewst4erday, thre was no pain, but when I was done, it was worse than my heaviest period...

Pregnant-MILFway - Friday, 21 Mar
Don't know if this makes you feel any better but ever time I go to the doctors they do the internal and say man I can't even get to your cervix opening because the babies head is there and in the way. So yes for some time now I have been that way. Having a bowling ball in your croch isn't fun anymore. LOL

Thanks! I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Madison Claire. I love Madison but it's become so popular! I like different names. We named our son Aiden in 2004, now Aiden has been #1 name for a couple of years! That's ok though, it suits him perfectly! It's kinda weird - my family calls me Jenny, my fiance's name is Josh, and we're both expecting a girl the first week of April. Good luck to you!

delibelly - Monday, 17 Mar
Yes!! im sure i feel every movement of my baby and it kills me!! seriously cripples me for a second, especially in my right hand side :( if this is painful i dread contractions lol xx

hglynn - Thursday, 13 Mar
hey! i had the period cramps and diarrohea thing. went to get checked out and the consultant told me it's either the start of labour or a stomach upset, one week on baby is still firmly in place so don't get your hopes up too much! good luck though, i hope it is the start of things for you! i just feel really fed up and want things to start now!

Could it be an ingrown hair?

momoffive - Saturday, 1 Mar
Being on my 4th baby and knowing that no amount of progress really means ANYTHING AT ALL, I recomend waiting untill at least your 37 week checkup. And then only getting checked if you want them to strip your memebranes (seperating the glue that holds the bag of water against your cervix) That can encourage labor to begin. Most dr.s will begin doing this if your dialated at 37 weeks. If you do not want labor encouraged artificially in any way, there is really no other reason to be checked. I have found all it does is make you anxious. You can be 2 cm dialated and 50 % effaced from 37 to 42 weeks and still end up getting induced. Or be to that point and go into labor the very next day. I am opting to be checked at 37 weeks to have my membranes stripped but know full well any progress means absolutly nothing.

mommytobe20 - Saturday, 1 Mar
I've heard that when they check your cervix it's VERY uncomfortable & you are sore afterwards. But if it were me, I would definitely have it done to know if you are dilated at all. I am curious to know if I am but not sure when my doctor will check. Good luck.

They checked me when I got my strep B test. Its really uncomfortable but its nice to know how everything is going and if there are any signs of baby getting ready to come :P

jenn1022 - Saturday, 1 Mar
As far as I can remember the exams don't really hurt they are just uncomfortable ..

shashi - Tuesday, 12 Feb
Your kid -you name it what you want! End of story.

morgansmom - Tuesday, 12 Feb
How do you pronounce Brynna? I would pronounce it Brenna. Don't let people get to you...it is YOUR baby...not theirs. I know that is hard to do. My family gave me tons & tons of crap about the name we chose...I just had to start asking them to please not make comments! Good Luck!
