Saturday, 2 Feb The race is on! Jeff's mom is going to be a first time Grandma and 3 other ladies she works with were also due to be first time Grandmas. She was supposed to be the first with mine, but all the others went early so now we are the last! I told her that we are just saving the best for last ;) jessicag26 -
Saturday, 2 Feb Well I think if I were you I would personally go by the first due date, just because that far along (20 weeks) the baby can be a different size for everyone, the best determination of due date is an ultrasound done 12 weeks or before, when all babies are the same size. Did you get an ultrasound early on if so what did they say then? Do you remember when your last menstrual cycle was? Do the dates match up with Feb 2nd or Feb 14th?
I told my hubby he could name this one, he says he likes Isaiah, but I dont know, I like the name but its not one I fell in love with...why do you have any suggestions? =0) Give me some good ones~~
what are you naming your baby? or do you know?

Friday, 1 Feb My appt went well, nothing had changed though. We got home before the weather got bad also, thank goodness. Although it was nothing like they were calling for~ really the worst was up north. We got some ice, but nothing too major. I guess I did get the day off so I can go with that =0)
I am pleased to know that you have your bags packed now...nothing like waiting till the last minute, I bet thats a big load off your shoulders, now dont forget the carseat and you will be READY ;) Are you ready for the big day? I guess tomorrow is your due date, so have they talked induction or are you just going to wait it out? maimai -
Friday, 1 Feb A home water birth would sure beat an induction! And I'm sure it would be less painful from what I've read! Let me know when you get some news on your baby! maimai -
Friday, 1 Feb Thanks, lol. Am really hoping that the baby comes on its own, I really don't want to go in for an induction as I was planning on a home water birth. No baby news for you yet? mtnwoman -
Friday, 1 Feb Not really, at my last appointment she was doing a delivery so I had some other guy that just did the normal check-up. I have an appointment monday if I don't deliver before then and I will talk with her about inducing and stuff like that. She had told me before that they would only let me go about 10 days overdue so we are looking at the 10th as the latest! Today is my last day of work though so I will be home to pack my bags after today. I forgot again last night... What about you? think you will go far overdue? maimai -
Friday, 1 Feb Thanks. The midwife couldn't do the sweep as my cervix was still closed. She is going to try again on Tuesday. I'm hoping that baby is here this week, otherwise she wants to book me in for an induction. Hope all is going well for you? mtnwoman -
Thursday, 31 Jan So, you haven't packed either? Now I don't feel so bad! My boyfriend has been asking me for days now to make him a check off list so he can pack things for me if I go into labor at work, but I just keep forgetting! when he lectured me about it for 10 minutes this morning (in a loving way) I guess it finally sank in that I need to get it done, so hopefully I remember tonight! Here's to the working moms-to-be! :) jessicag26 -
Thursday, 31 Jan WHOA...nothing packed! What are you waiting on? lol! I have had things packed for a few weeks, but on Saturday I got everything ready! I was having a lot of pain, thought it was going to be that night, but then the contractions just stopped. I cant wait for my appt. today I can find out if I have progressed or not. I was just now sitting here getting my jj cole bundle me ready (if you dont have one they are a blessing!) No dragging blankets around, and they are just so handy! Anyhow I have been fine, I havent lost my plug or anything, my last two once I lost that labor started immediatly. I just hope I get home tonight before the bad weather starts, the girls have gymnastics from 6-7pm so that will put me home about 7:45, hopefully the storm will hold out!
I know what you mean about the quiteness on week 39, its like everyone has their bundles of joy and now its only a few of us left. I am working until I deliver so I know how you are feeling right about now, although today is my day off. I loved being able to chit chat with the other ladies but now it can get boring because there isnt anyone online~
Oh and today is the day I wrote down back the first week we found out I was pregnant, I said well I think it will be the 31st of Jan...now I am like NO not today! =0) jessicag26 -
Thursday, 31 Jan Well I have an appt. today, He said he would check me and if I wanted he would induce me anytime after that, but I am not sure I want to get an induction, pitocin scares me! I have read about it, and I labor fast, so not so sure it would be beneficial~ My sister had a lot of problems with her first baby she started hemorraging, and the baby was born black, because it had fetal distress, anyhow I know this procedure is done daily and most are successful. Yeah I am not looking forward to the SNOW...ahhh! I just really hope we dont go into labor tonight or in the morning, do you live far from the hospital? lilbump -
Wednesday, 30 Jan hey jess, thanks for the advice i havent been checked as of yet and this will be the first time ive been interfered with since being six weeks pregnant when i had a swab taken to check for any infections ect....sort of like a smear test. I hope our labour comes really soon ive really had enough now! been having minor cramps and period like pain but no real labour as of yet. In due on Friday. Good luck with your Labour x jessicag26 -
Wednesday, 30 Jan Did you get any of that crazy wind last night? It got really bad here about 7:30pm....trees are down everywhere, power was off for several hours and power lines were drapped across my neighbors car. I am worried about this next storm we are suppose to get Friday morning, with ice and snow...ahh hope not to go into labor then, we live 40 minutes from the hospital on a normal day! I was just wondering how it was up north =0) How is everything going with you? I bet you are more than ready to deliver now :) misty1019 -

Saturday, 26 Jan ugh, the internal exams seem to make a lot of the moms uncomfortable, which is no good. i'm feeling so totally huge, lol, but otherwise pretty good. lots of pain in my right hip today, but otherwise, not bad. i'm ready to have this baby, but also not ready -- the longer the baby stays in, the longer we can try to prepare ourselves, lol!! though i really am ready to meet this tiny person that's been beating me up on the inside for so long -- i can't believe how close we are now, after all those months of trying to patiently wait.hope you keep feeling good! tatianac -
Friday, 25 Jan Thank you for the kind message! I wish I was optimistic as you!lol! I see my extra weight all at my face though! My face is a full moon now!lol! Take care! karenc -
Friday, 25 Jan you poor thing - I get like that w/ this site sometimes. I read in a book today about some ways to kill time: walk, take baths, sew or knit, make a scrapbook, make mix CDs, esp for after the baby's born, create a blog, etc. I want to fill my freezer with meals for when we get home, but my back gets so tired from standing in the kitchen. lol, bah!! :) emmapants -
Wednesday, 23 Jan Having your membranes stripped might shake things up and start some contractions. It might cause you to go into labor and it might not. I had mine done on Thursday and I'm still pregnant
