My name is Jessica (you can call me Jess or Jessie). I am married to a wonderful man named Matthew or Matt. We have been together for 6 years but have been married for 4. We have three beautiful children together. Caleb (bud) who is 5 years old, he try’s to do everything by himself and is very helpful. Iris who is 2 1/2 years old, you could guess that she is in her terrible two stage. And we have Gabriel who is 17 months old. On the 10th of July we found out that we are going to have another baby!!! Right now its saying that I am due on the 22nd of March in 2009. I will find out more when it comes to when I am due and all that nice stuff around the 11th or 19th of August when I go to my first two appointments! I am excited because I have had a lot of female issues after the birth of our second child or our daughter Iris. It all started on the 16th of December 2005 at my six week check up after the birth of my daughter, I went in to just get checked out and make sure that I was healing properly and did not think about any form of birth control I didn’t even talk to my husband about it. With my age at the time and the fact that I already had two kids my doctor and his nurse nagged me into getting the mirena IUD or IUC. Well needless to say he did not inform me about the side affects or what could happen with this thing. The next day I ended up in the hospital with really bad lower side pain and had to have an emergency surgery to have it removed because it had perforated my uterus and they found it floating by my belly button. Then not even 4 months after that issue the new doctor found a cyst on my right ovary and I had to have another surgery to get that removed and ended up bleeding a lot on the operating table so they removed my whole right ovary, I had one period after that and got pregnant with Gabriel! I thank God every day for the miracles that he has given me and my husband! I so far have gotten pregnant 2 times with 2 ovaries and 2 times with one!! I am not worried about having a lot of children, I believe that God gives you the children that you should have. Ever since the IUD or IUC I do not like birth control, I would rather take a chance in raising a big family then take a chance with the side affects and my life. If you really look at birth controls side affects they are scary- Stroke, blood clots, heart attacks and so on!!! I really think that it is not worth the risks and I would rather have lots of kids and be here to take care of them then not be here because of the risks of birth control. I think that Natural Family Planning is alright but not the other choices. Right now I am in school to try and become an Ob/gyn. I love pregnancy and think that it’s a beautiful thing. I decided to do this because all of our friends come to me for information if they don’t understand something that has to deal with pregnancy or woman’s health. My husband Matt is in a band called Future Ruin! He plays the lead Guitar!! He also does some back up vocals!!
