RAIDYN LEE
AUGUST 31ST, 2007
8 LBS 4 1/2 OZ
20" LONG
January 22nd, 2008-
Raidyn is a little over 5 months now.. i still can't believe it. She's now eating 1 container of veggies and 1 container of fruits a day. She's also getting juice now which she gets once a day, only 2 ozs. I just bought her a sippy cup that has handles on the side of it, and she uses it like a pro! So we'll use the sippy cup everytime she gets juice and leave the bottle just for the formula. I'm still worried about her not rolling over yet.. I try to coach her everyday atleast twice a day.. but i guess she'll do it when she's ready. The way things are looking she'll be sitting before she rolls over :) hehe.. lets see what else. She's holding her own bottle now pretty much, she gets so anxious as soon as she see's it.. she throws her hands up in the air and starts making the fake couging sound, soo cute! I can hardly leave the room without her screaming! She has to know that you're there or she's just pissed :) I start work again January 28th so less than a week.. i'm pretty upset but i know it's a good thing.. and we finally booked our vacation for the summer. Were going to Hilton Head in SC for the fourth of July week, i'm so excited but it's sooo far away hehe! Hope everyone's fantastic!! <333

Raidyn will be 18 weeks on Friday, I can't believe it!! 4 and 1/2 months... whew, time flies by. When I was pregnant, it was the slowest time of my life, now it's the fastest!! My little girl is the greatest! She's almost rolling over, with a little encouragement! She's also almost sitting up by herself! The doctor told me she'd probably walk before she crawls, her legs are so strong. She puts all her weight on them now and I hold her hands and she loves it! She smiles and laughs at me all the time, though all her dad has to do is look in her direction and she melts with laughter, unfair ;) haha.. She sleeps fantastic!! If I could go to bed when she does, i'd get more sleep too, but every night I find myself still staying up late watching tv or whatever! :) I'm going for an interview tomorrow, need to get back to work, but this is a job where I can take my angel with me! Christmas was sooo good, we have a Suburban and I was joking with my fiance that next year we'll have to pull our trailer to Virginia with us because Raidyn got so much stuff from both of our families that we filled the whole thing up!! Insane lol! I will post new pics tomorrow!
October 28th, 2007--
So I FINALLY get a chance to update!! Raidyn is 8 weeks old now and we have been going non-stop. My original due date was Aug. 27th, but I had to be induced on Aug 30th cause the lil terd descided she liked it in momma's tummy! I went to the hospital at 7:30 to be induced. The doctor came in and inserted the gel on my cervix around 8. No more than 5 minutes later and i'm having serious contractions. I was miserable for about 2 hours and then was able to get up and walk around a little bit. The contractions drifted off and when they came to check me I had made no progress, still at 1-2 cm and cervix hadn't thinned all the way, so the doc had to come back and re-do the gel. Again for 2 hours after that I was miserable again. And again my contractions eased up and seperated. Ofcourse when he came back I still hadn't progressed so they decided to break my water. This was about 4:00 in the afternoon on the 30th. When the midwife broke my water, is was awful... she was new and it took her FOREVER to do it, and my poor fiance, i'm yelling and screaming and about to cuss this women out, and finally she had someone else try and they got it no problem... almost immediately after breaking my water I had sever contractions coming on. I was told that getting in the shower helped so there I went... Except it didn't help me, I finally told them I HAVE to have some pain medicine.. So I got stadol through an iv. It was pretty funny cause my family said in between contractions I fell asleep, for like a minute, and then I would wake up moaning from the contractions lol... The stadol didn't do much for pain but it sure did make me sleepy! After they checked me like 3 hours later I was at 5 cm but still not moving along fast enough so they decided to give me pitocin. I think that was around 9 or 10pm. After I recieved the pit i had to have an epidural!! I could hardly take the pain!! After the epidural, I slept on and off while they were coming in to monitor my progress and FINALLY at about 3:30 am I was ready to push. They brought my mom and my mother in law in, and ofcourse my fiance was with me the whole time and here it went.... lol I started pushing not being able to feel ANYTHING.. like nothing, because of the epidural... they kept saying you're doing good you're doing good, but I thought they were lying cause i didn't feel like i was doing squat, well they were, I really wasn't progressing.. I tried pushing regular, then they had me sideways from one side to another.. the oh my gosh.. i've never heard of this before but they brought in this metal rod that goes over the bed... they move your bed up so you're almost sitting up, when you have a contraction you reach up, pull yourself up, so you're squatting over the bed and push.. wierdest thing ever.. I pushed and pushed and finally they had to cut off the epidrual and speed up the pitocin.. wowww it hurt!! I kept saying i can't do this i can't do this but ofcourse they kept encouraging me, almost to the point where i was about to freak out! But what FINALLY did it, was they took a towel and wrapped it around itself, gave one end to my fiance, gave the other end to me, and every time i had a contraction i pulled on the towel and pushed at the same time, i felt like i was making progress and it hurt like hell... after about 30 minutes of this she started crowning and the midwifes are on the phone saying we need back up we need back up lol.. i was told to stop pushing for a minute and that was actually probably the hardest thing to do... but I did and as soon as back up arrived so did Raidyn.. 6:59am.. pushed for a total of 3 1/2 hours and after I was done they even told me that they had prepared the c-section room because they were just about to take me over when she finally started crowning... thank goodness!! It was definately the hardest thing i've ever done, but now that it's over and done with, it didn't seem that bad lol.. if you would have asked me right afterwords if i was gonna have another kid, ever, i would have told you to go jump off a bridge, but I definately think one day, 4 or 5 years from now, I would love to have the opportunity to have another healthy baby. Raidyn weighed 8 lbs 4 1/2 oz.. she was a whopper!! I gained a total of 27 lbs with my baby and I lost it all plus 3 at my 6 week checkup, dont ask me how but hey i'll take it!! Little Raidyn is me and my fiance's whole life.. she makes life worth living and smiling and loving!! I don't know what I would do without her... She's the best thing too, she does not cry at all unless she's hungry or wet... I've gotten so lucky and i'm so blessed!!!

This is me at 19 weeks...

This is Rod :) My everything!

This is Oakley :) Our Doberman.. she was about 6 or 7 months old here.. she's now 10 months old.. SUCH a spoiled baby!!

This is a picture of me pre-pregnancy, doin' what we love to do :) FISHING..
