38.5 weeks...yay! I must admit, I am getting uncomfortable and antsy, but I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel (a cute light at that). I've been having contractions every day and am really sore all over. Who knows if that means I'm close or not. Everyone has been saying, "Oh, you'll be late with the first..." Not what I want to hear. My doctor assured me that I would be near my due date. I have the house ready and I am almost finished at work...boy that will be nice. I am so excited to meet my little girl and see my husband fall in love all over again. They will probably gang up on me for the rest of my life:)

34 (almost 35) weeks! I am getting so antsy. The baby has declared war on my ribs...she likes to ball up on one side of my tummy and it looks really funny. My husband and I are getting everything ready around the house and looking forward to the holidays. I'm trying to wrap things up at work, but it is sooooo hard to stay focused. All I can think about is the fact that I will have a baby some time in the next month! I'm not as scared as I was a few weeks ago. I think it's because I've been to birthing class and I know that my body will make up for my lack of experience with child birthing. I'm prepared to be uncomfortable and in pain and realize that no matter how bad it is, I'll get over it. As long as I bring a healthy, happy baby into the world! (could I be any more cheesy?) Our birthing class instructor said something that really struck me. She said, "each of you is giving birth to a new chance. you never know what your child will do for the world. your child will make a difference and impact the lives of others...it's really amazing if you think about it." She is right. We don't know what our children will do, just as our parents didn't know what we would do...I have to agree that that is a very special gift!

I will be 34 weeks on Saturday and it seems like this pregnancy is just flying by. It really hasn't been bad at all. I get a kick out of watching my belly change shape when our lil' girl moves. The nursery is almost done and I think I have found daycare arrangements that I can live with (atleast for awhile). I am still not opposed to be a SAHM for awhile if I can't handle leaving our daughter all day. We are thinking of naming her Isabel, it is really the only name we agree on. I am exited for her to make her arrival. It feels like she's a strong baby!

I had my baby shower yesterday and got tons of stuff. Okay, the baby got tons of stuff. It was a lot of fun. I am happy that we didn't wait until right before my due date to have it, as I am literally "growing" more uncomfortable by the day. Baby girl is on a schedule now and wakes up very early in the morning! It will be funny to see if she sticks to the same schedule after she is born. I can't wait!

It seems like everything is flying by. Our lil' girl moves constantly and even keeps me up at night. I can tell she's getting strong! I am getting a little nervous about what to do about work. I would like to work full-time but split time between home and office. My boss doesn't like that idea. My husband said that I should quit if she doesn't come to a compromise because we both agree that it is best not to put an infant in daycare full-time right away. Priorities.....
Shower is November 4 YAY!!

Seems like my belly is growing by the hour! My little sweetheart is killing my back. I'm sure she doesn't mean it :) We are busy getting our house ready for the new addition and I'm even getting rid of my mustang to get a more baby friendly car. We are so excited! I feel her moving a lot when I lay down...she is quite active! Daddy has yet to feel her move...she is shy.

Now that I've become accustomed to the idea that I am having a daughter (I suppose I have a daughter, since she is in me), the fun begins. I didn't realize before, but girl names are so much easier to choose from than boy names. Also the little dresses, shoes, tights, and bonnets are all too cute to handle! I cannot wait to see how my husband spoils our daughter. She has already got him moving around fixing anything that's broken in the house. He's also letting me shop til' I drop as long as it's for our little girl. So far Isabella and Madeline are our front running names....we'll see:)
It's a girl!!!!!!
Life's Little Surprises...
After taking the Michigan bar exam and waiting three months for the results I got some news.....I PASSED and I'M PREGNANT! At first, I was overwhelmed, wondering if I could be a good mom. I never really pictured myself pregnant, even though my identical twin sister has two children and I've already seen what I would look like pregnant.
Now that I am over the initial shock (yes, I am aware of how babies are made), I am so excited. My husband is excited as well and is so nurturing and protective that I have a crush on him all over again!
Another surprise is that the baby is due on my birthday...what a wonderful gift!
