.... don't know whats happened to my previous entries but nevermind

This is our first pregnancy, hubbie and i have been married for coming up 4 years. We are very excited and nervous at the same time.

I never knew being pregnant was such a journey..... full of emotions and worry and joy.

Congrats to everyone who is pregnant, i hope everything is going well.

Bump pic at 27wks. Had glucose test, and everything seems fine. Started Parent classes.

5th Feb. Another hot day here. Having trouble sleeping at night, and Braxton Hicks a little uncomfortable in the evening esp. But apart from that feeling good. Turning the big 30 on Thursday so unfortunately i won't be celebrating like i imagined but will be having a bbq with friends on this sat.

10th Feb. Had a scheduled app with Doc this week and unfortunately bubs has turned breech position, after being head down for the last 6 weeks! Have got a scan on Tuesday to check on baby and see how big it is, have only put on a total of 6kg through this pregnancy so everyone is saying how small my belly is, although sometimes i feel huge! will be nice to see bubs again, hope it turns before 34wks, otherwise will have to start thinking about my options.

14th Feb. Got breakfast in bed for Valentines day today, thats about as romantic as we get these days!!!... it was nice to know hubbie remembered me. Scan went really well , bubs is weighing in at 3lb 11oz (not bad considering i havn't put on much weight. lots of amniotic fluid for bubs to grow into and he/she has turned head down! yeah! couldn't have asked for a better outcome!

25th Feb. Really hot here in NZ at the moment, starting to get very uncomfortable now, belly has really popped out. Doctor is now giving me a due date of 14th April, but not going to change it on my VIP page. Seeing my doctor every 2nd week now, and will soon change to every week. Really enjoying parent classes, hubbie is constantly keeping me amused with his super protectiveness of his unborn child! (wasn't too pleased to learn about the hip test they do with the newborn baby!). My friend has organised a baby shower for the 8th of March for me, will be nice to be surrounded by my girlfriends for an afternoon.

hi - how are you getting along? Things going ok? I'm sure Robbie's growing like mad, Michael is getting so big so fast too!

We're doing ok. Michael's been a little fussy these past few days, another growth spurt perhaps? We're doing a little better with the sleeping, but still only 3 or 4 hours a stretch. He moved into his crib this week, we did have him in a bassinet in our room. He's also started smiling at us now and then, which of course makes everything worth it!

Don't beat yourself up about the breastfeeding. There is a lot of pressure to keep up with it here too. I'm still with it, but am supplementing now and then with formula as well. I had hoped to do it for six months, but I may not last that long. Some days, Michael is literally on my boob every hour and it just makes it impossible to do anything else!

My husband's leaving tomorrow for a ten-day business trip to Canada and Europe. I'm a little nervous about having solo baby duty for that long, but have some family and friends coming by next week to help for short respites.

congratulations! I'm sure you must be as delighted with your new little man as I am with mine! :) Sorry to hear you had some difficulty, pregnancy is certainly stressful, isn't it?

Are you getting any sleep? Is he a good baby? Michael is pretty good, only really cries when having his diaper changed or when he's REALLY hungry. Breastfeeding is keeping me plenty busy, but I've been able to pump as well and am building up a supply in the freezer so his daddy and others can help out.

This Sunday is Mother's Day in America, so happy Mother's Day to you! :)

oh my gosh, how exciting! Wouldn't it be fun if we end up going into labor at the same time??

I've had a crazy burst of energy today for some odd reason. At least I'm getting things done and organized while I wait for the action to begin.

hi - sounds like you're getting close! Isn't it exciting?? My husband keeps asking about my mucus plug (words I NEVER thought I'd hear coming out of his mouth) every day. It's so funny! Haven't lost mine yet, but since my cervix has been short all along, not sure I even really have much of one to lose. Will see the doctor again in a few hours to find out if I'm made any more progress. I am feeling so big and uncomfortable!

Thanks for the comment! It made me feel a little better. I just feel like I am soo behind and I am starting to feel like a bad mom because I am unable to start getting ready for her!! I know thats not the case, but I can't help but feel that way. We are adding a room onto our house for the baby (well that was the original plan) it is taking much longer than expected because it is much bigger and more to it than we thought...AND we decided we are making the new room the Master bedroom and putting baby is our current room. So needless to say, the new addition is not yet completed so I have to wait for that so we can move our furniture out of our current room and THEN I can start on the baby room. And it wouldn't be so bad but since we are moving rooms too I am stressed because we don't even really have a place to set up a bassinet. AHHH! But I think you are right...make a list and at least I will know what I need to get done and the best way to get it done at the time being. Sorry I wrote you a book, guess I just needed to vent about the situation! Thanks again!! By the way, you look adorable!!

Thanks, a good friend of mine is a professional photographer, and he is WONDERFUL. I felt like a supermodel, our photo shoot was the most fun I've had in weeks!

I am a knitter, too, and am now working on my third baby blanket - certainly helps to pass the time!

Your belly is so adorable! You seem to be carrying high, could mean a girl??? Stay cool in that hot weather and keep in touch! :)

Hey...there is nothing negative about how you choose to experience this pregnancy. In the end you will come to the same conclusion and that's a beautiful child. Keep working as long as you can (if that's what you choose to do), keep your head up, and have no regrets. Enjoy your reward at the end of this journey :-)

your bump pics are so cute!!! Isn't it fun to have a cute belly like that??

Sorry to hear your iron levels are low, but it sounds like that's quite common and easily corrected. Mine were good when they checked, but I really notice myself getting fatigued more easily when I go a few days without eating any red meat or spinach!

I too have been having some Braxton Hicks, I try to drown them out by drinking lots of water, which usually seems to help.

Can you believe how close we're getting to the big day?? Any gut feelings whether it's a boy or girl? I've been thinking boy all along, but had a dream last week that it was a girl so who knows!

I really hope it isn't my mucus plug that I am losing. It is way too early to have this baby. I was also getting a backache last night. I will have to call my doctor this morning. Congrats to you.

Hi. Thanks I am glad to know that I am not the only one. I haven't felt it in a few days but I plan on asking my dr Fri what could be causing it. I have noticed my little girl keeps her butt right in my ribs so that may be the cause. Well I hope you are feeling well also.

Hi - thanks for checking on me. Yes, I'm now on bed rest, possibly for the rest of the pregnancy. At my checkup last week, my cervix had shortened and once I got to the hospital, found out I was having some contractions. They just kept me overnight, so now I'm home, trying my best to stay off my feet and taking it one day at a time.

my kiddo's been moving and grooving all over, too! He/she actually woke me up this morning, it felt like the baby was jogging in my tummy!

Well, thanks for the comment. I ask for advice from everyone, but I know I'll end up getting it done either way. I'm a bit neurotic (lol) so having it done and knowing one way or the other is the best thing for me. Good luck next Tuesday! I'm sure everything will be fine!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that my sister and my sister-in-law got the same kind of news, and both of their babies came out fine. Just know that those tests aren't that accurate (that's what my doc told me), and stay positive!
